This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Picked up Stonghold: Legends for 5$ and a couple more casual games for 5$ a piece. A little OT but the guitar clearance is on in full force, I picked up a distortion pedal 10$, a training video 3$, a cords book 3$ all 75% off. They had a ton of electric guitars, so it's early xmas shopping for me.

LOTS of young kids play Pokemon games. They're just built like RPGs so there's tons of ubernerd depth (potential, but you can just play without that depth). ;-)

Looks like I'll be trying to track this down for a friend. And it's listed on the Target website at that price, in-store only. So, yeah, I'd say it's this price at all Target locations.

360 bags are more prevalent, but the PS2 bags are also on clearance as well.

Damn. I assumed they wouldn't fit, so I passed on the cheap bag. I don't recall seeing one the last time I was there. Time to go back.

2 of my 3 Targets did the same games in the aisle thing. They were $29.99 and under. I think I remember TMNT for 360 being in there and some other crap.
 
My target today had a whole isle divided up into sections for $9.99 $14.99 and $19.99 games.

Only thing I saw possibly tempting was Malice and Xenosaga 2 for the ps2 for $9.99

And of course Frogger's Toy Trials for DS for $14.99.

I did pick up a set on ps2 s-video cables for $5.99
 
Anyone trying to run Railroads! on a PC that's under the minimum requirements? Just wondering before I decide whether or not to buy it...

Usually PC games need more than the minimum requirements to run, not less.

Has anyone seen the Logitech PS2 controllers go 75% yet? they're still 50% around here.

So what happened to Rogue Galaxy? Each of the Targets around here had a few copies for months, then they all just disappeared with this latest reset. I checked the GH section as well... did I just miss out on the clearance?

I've seen it at two Atlanta stores. Full price while all clearance games were accurately marked.
 
I was at a Target today where a clerk was unloading a ton of games on the clearance shelf. In that pile was PGR 4 for $14.99. There were only two and I grabbed both. When it came to ringing them up they showed $59.99 and the girl said that the $14.99 sticker was for Tomb Raider. So they wouldn't sell it to me at the clearance price. So consider my situation as YMMV.

i haver a pc thats above the min req for railroads (but just barely). i can play it for 15-20 minutes before it becomes a slideshow and crashes. very frustrating. this is a very cpu and gpu intensive game, surprisingly. lol my comp can run half life 2 but not railraods?!?!?!

Checked out my local Target last night. They took out one of the isles in electronics and put in racks as previously reported for $9.99-$14.99-$19.99 games. Best of the bunch that I saw was Xenosaga II for $9.99.

I found that LCD TV that I reported earlier so I bought it. It was $194.98. Magnavox 20" LCD TV capable of displaying up to 1080i HD picture. Seemed like a pretty good deal since most decent brand 20" LCD TV's I've priced were at least $300.

I recently picked up an Operation Ivy CD for $3.74 at Target with that same type of sticker on it. They had two of them.

Alot of states have a truth in pricing law. If so, they are required to give sell you the game at the ticketed/stickered price.

JUST A HEADS UP FOR TIMING OF DROPS:

The 13.98 games at my closest Target at which I scanned a couple of unmarked ones on wednesday and they rang up 13.98 are now 9.98 as of today, Sunday. I don't know which day they dropped, but the games drops have always been Monday including last week. So maybe they're on a different schedule or were done early instead of tomorrow???? Also, they have cleared a new aisle for cheap games. It was for games such as DS Scurge 9.99 to greatest hits games to 29.99 360 games like COD3 and Oblivion. Xbox 007 From Russia with Love was 9.99 here instead of 4.99 elsewhere in the area. No 4.99 games, 9.99 and up. Kinda reminded me of frontlane areas at other stores without the big white frontlane stickers. Games were not in glass cases in this aisle.
 
yeah. I saw that aisle with $9.99 $14.99 and $19.99 games a week ago.

don't know if malice (ps2) and xenosaga 2 (ps2) are worth it for $9.99, though.
 
Hit two Targets up this weekend. One had nothing but DS, the other had a handful of Xbox and 360 games.

And some other not really clearance priced "cheap" games.

I already had Unplugged, picked up All-Pro.
 
Not quite game related, but did anyone pick up one of those under-counter CD/radios from Tru-Tech at the $7.48 price point, and don't actually want it?

One store had it for 9.98, but the only one had a really beaten up box and I might return it as I'm waffling on getting it and don't want to get hassled on a "damaged" return, but don't want to miss out by the time I decide. At the second store, they scanned on the self scanner for 19.98 so I got the lady who retagging electronics to scan it on the hand scanner and the she said if I didn't get it at the old price of 19.98 that the new price was 0.00 so it was going to salvage. The PS2 Logitech Wireless precision was the same way: 19.98 or salvage. I noticed all of the 360 faceplates and the GH bags were in the cart. Hopefully, she's just making a mistake since the other Target didn't salvage any of that yet. Also, the 13.98 30% off games dropped to 9.98 50% off so I guess the Target by my house just did their drop a day early. The Call of Juarez/Tomb Raider/Godfather 50% off set didn't drop.

New drops:

MLB2k7, All Pro 2k7, the silver Surfer Game and Harry Potter dropped to 30% off on all systems as did Shrek on 360.

I thought CoJ was clearanced fast, but All Pro just came out in July!

Speaking of going on clearance quickly, I saw Arizona Cardinals PS2 controllers at one store. Must have been a misorder here in Atlanta on the other side of the US where we have the Falcons and Falcons controllers are in all of the other stores. Those wouldn't even sell in Cardinals territory let alone here.

I dunno, here in Colts territory, all I've seen on the shelf at multiple Targets are Lions controllers. You can guess how well those go over - and I doubt it'd be much better in Detroit.

That seems to be happening a lot at the stores near me. Makes Target clearances pretty useless if it continues. I'll have to see what's up at my closest store. They weren't able to sell these things at $19.98 but I bet at $9.98 they'd sell well - it would seem a better option to them than salvage.

As one person stated, they're starting to clearance out Command & Conquer (360). My Target had them for I think $41ish? They had three copies left, so we'll see how low it goes.
 
Damn, I missed the 360 arcade stick for 10?! I figured there was a reason my store was cleaned out of them. I did get Jade Empire PC for 7.48, Titan Quest for 4.98 and Snoopy/Red Baron PC for 4.98. Fear PC is down to 7.98 if no one else has said it. Also saw Sid Meier's Railroads down to 4.98 now.

Not game related and probably super-YMMV, but looking for the 360 stick I went to another store and got probably my best Target clearance score ever--2 Klipsch IGroove HG's (iPod dock/speakers) for $15.62 each! They were in clearance but had no tag, so I went to scan one and was shocked. Didn't really know much about these but I see the MSRP is 249 and they are 130 at Amazon. And they sound great. Just something to look out for, but I think I got lucky because they weren't red tagged.

IO, that seems to happening this drop or recently? Just wondering if you've seen this before or you just visited a lot of stores in once day! Anyway, that's exactly what I was thinking. The faceplates and GH bags I understand since they've been @ 75% for a few weeks, but the 50% off items going straight to salvage? I was hoping to get both the arcade stick and the wireless ps2 controller, but not @ 20 like I saw. And of course, that happened at the Target near me that had marked very little and had a lot of items I want. I wonder if she pulled the PS2 Red/Blue memory card pack that was there late last week. I didn't think to ask until I left, but it was marked and for 10 a card I should've gotten it before. I hope this is not a serious trend starting after they finally restarted having good gaming clearances again and I wonder why the other store I went to actually dropped it to 9.98.

At least you're somewhat close and Detroit has a rabid fanbase. We're on opposite ends of the country. I imagine someone filling orders with a dragdown box and clicking one team too high in the list.

I jest because I love. Lifetime football and baseball Cards fan here. The baseball team has been good to us, in football we're cursed and dumb enough to only carry 2 quarterbacks this year. If that controller gets clearanced I'll pick it up. The last Cardinals item I've seen anywhere on the east coast was a Phoenix Cardinals beach towel ---- last year! :D

Unfortuantely for the D-Backs no one cares about them here. Can't even sell out Playoff games, although $60 for tix is ridiciulous. And now the Cards will have 3, 3rd string Qb's to pick from. Such a promising year...:cry:
