This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Considering the $14.xx is 75%, I don't hold much hope of another drop.


Still kind of bummed that I missed the 75% on toys (had my eye on some ExoForce), I expected the 50% to last longer.
 
Thanks for the Monday tip.

After much stalking the past couple weeks, Tony Hawk Proving Ground finally dropped in my Target today to $14.75. There were about eight left.
Stuntman Ignition also dropped to $14.98 (one left)

Also Alien Syndrome for the PSP was $9.xx (Didn't buy it so can't give exact price)

No other clearance games that I could find.
 
I got Ghost Squad for Wii for 9.99 and Rogue Galaxy for PS2 for 5.04 last night at the Target in Huntington Beach (on Adams)

Purchased Tony Hawk Proving Ground LE today for $14.75. Stuntman Ignition held steady at $29.98 much to my chagrin. At least my local Target has plenty of copies (next Monday here we come!)
 
I found a copy in Huntington Beach, scanned it and it come up as not found.

The clerk gave it to me for 9.99

No go on Ghost Squad in Greenville, SC. The CSR said $29.99 quickly as if he'd be answering that question a lot lately.
 
I checked back a few pages and didn't see any mention of this but my dad told me he picked up the Popcap games collection (360) for $5 today. Seemed like a good price, sorry if it has already been posted.

Just came back from the Chantilly Store. Assclowns put their own UPC barcode sticker OVER the manufacturers label.


I removed some of it and rescanned it. "NOT FOUND". I don't get it, are they having problems inputting the manufacturers bar code data into their system?

Weird shit I know. Darn most of the Noobs are getting this game cheap.

Awesome price. Will have to check that one out. How is the game by the way? I played the original and it was kind of tiresome re-doing the harder stunts further into the game.
 
THPG LE finally dropped to 14.75 here (still a bunch left, 8-10 copies, at the Crystal Target, for any interested MN CAGs), so, with all the other reports of it dropping elsewhere, I'd guess that it's finally hit that price pretty much nationwide.
Homecourt still stubbornly refuses to budge. I'm gonna wait another week, two at the most, and then I'll bite the bullet and open my 14.98 copy, and return my 29.50 THPG.
 
Just got Ghost Squad for $12 plus tax. It scanned as "Item not found" or whatever, and the woman asked what it was supposed to be. I said that most Targets have been clearancing it for 12 dollars, and she said "12 dollars sounds good." I probably could have gone lower, but I feel like she would have actually checked had I gone too low.
 
Just checked the Target in West Hollywood and it looks like Cooking Mama had a price cut to $20 for the Wii. Considering it just dropped to $30 last week, this seemed odd. Saw Popcap for the 360 and it was still $20 even when I scanned it. Other than some GBA games and a few copies of the Bigs for PS2 and All Pro for the PS3, literally all the clearance stuff was gone.

Interesting. I might finally pick up Cooking Mama if it hit $20... I'll have to check the store closest to me tomorrow.

I was at the Greenville Store Saturday night and they didn't have much of anything and what they did have was more expensive than it should have been.

I think I saw Stuntman PS3 and some other game red stickered but they were all still in the case and 29.98 or 24.98. In other words, not cheap enough.

I went to the Anderson, SC store on Saturday and they had a pretty good selection. about 15 copies of Tony Hawk: PG LE for 360 for 14.98. Several copies of some 360 Hockey game for cheap, Godfather for 19.98 on 360 and 24.98 on PS3, The Bigs on PS3 for 14.98. Stranglehold PC for 12.98.

I picked up Tony Hawk. I looked for VF5 PS3 in both locations but I figure that ship has long since sailed.
 
Saw Proving Grounds LE for 360 also for 14.xx at my local Target, but passed. Ghsot Squad was also there scanning as item not found but under it was a tag for 29.99, so i didnt even wanna try to get it. Nothing great there, saw GRAW2 there also for 360 but was scanning for 29.99. wasnt this clearance also?
 
Also saw a Western Digital 500Gb external drive for ~60 ish on clearance from $129 today when I went to pickup Tony Hawk PG for $14.xx. Not too bad of a deal if the drive is any good.

Cooking Mama was on a back shelf marked $29.99 orginally, new price of $19.99

Does not appear to be a YMMV, looks like this is the actual price at Target now (no red sticker or anything...).

Although not really a clearance I don't think, has anyone seen anymore copies of Virtua Tennis 3 for PS3? Mine had them listed for $20 in the case, but the last one was gone when I went back to get it last week. :(
 
i can confirm tony hawk 360. it was 14.77 at my target. looks like a definite nation wide clearance on that game. I picked up splinter cell 360 for 3.74 and ncaa march madness 2007 360 for 6.29. no go on ghost squad. they wanted 29.99 too many games to play.

Anyone have any experience with those Def Leppard guitars? They finally hit 75% near me and I'm thinking about biting on it just to have a crappy, kick around guitar on which to relearn the instrument. Is it at all worth it for 50 bucks, or should I hope it hits 85% or 90%?
 
Had a guest buy an copy of Double Agent for the 360 today for 7.48 wasn't in the system so I looked it up and gave it to him at that price. Not YMMV. It depends if they do have it though =P.

Lol are you sure they are ignorant. Most of the employes that I've met are lazy but not necessarily ignorant. Yep I work at target in *gasp* electronics/entertainment. xD. Also you guys might want to check out Bioshock on the pc for 24.99 (temp Price Cut till the 21st.. eh not clearance but close enough xD)

To be honest none so far. The best deals usually in regards to price cuts for games have been for PC games such as the bioshock for 24.99 and I think it was cooking mama for 14 something on price cut for the DS. But none so far for the wii x_x.
 
I'm going to have my mom swing by target to see if they have THPG:LE. I'm going to call tomorrow and find out how much they're worth at GS. If its like $25 or so I'll get two and pay off DMC4.

I hope I can do it before the end of the $30 trade-in bonus.

Was it as is or was it an clearanced item? Did it have a big red sticker on the back that says as is or the small red clearance sticker?

I heard $15 at Gamestop.
 
Was perusing the clearance section when I came upon Splinter Cell 360. There was no price tag, so I scanned it and "item not found" came up. I took it to a register in the electronics department and the guy looked it up in the computer and said it was $7.98 clearance. He told me that even though it scanned "item not found," they could still look it up in the system.
