This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

I went to Target last night in Louisville, KY. They had Ghost Squad and it was not found when scanned. The clerk called over a manager and they took about 5 minutes looking it up with some type of scanner gun. In the end they found the price - 29.99. No luck for me.

Stirling road in Broward County FL. Not sure if its considered Hollywood or Davie. Isn't Double Agent the only Splinter Cell available for 360?

I would happily reimburse someone for two copies of Guild Wars: Eye of the North + Shipping and a little extra for their trouble if anybody was interested. No Target around here is selling them at clearance, and at 9.99 I'll definitely bite.
 
Picked up Tony Hawk LE and the last copy of Ghost Squad last night. $25 total. Great deal. There were a bunch of TH there if anyone was looking for one.

And thats why I asked on here, also I tried calling to which they said "we dont give prices over the phone". Gamestop...curse them. On their site it does sell for 44.99 used so with the extra 30% trade in it might be a worth flip.

thanx op. I just picked up Tony Hawk for $14.xx from target in bay shore, new york. They had 3 or 4 more if anyone is wondering. They're priced at 29.xx but ring up at $15.

Also went to the target in Commack, NY and found the Western Digital Elements 500 GB external HDD for $63.xx (was priced on clearance at $90.xx). It was hidden behind some stuff, but luckily i checked before leaving. Awesome. Thanx again. I love CAG.

Yeah, Alpine. Although I remember seeing a huge pile of Proving Ground LE's at the Cascade Target on 28th a few weeks ago, so they might have it there too.
 
Thanks!! I went to Target North Houston and picked up Tony Hawk PGLE XBox 360 for $14.75, priced at $29.99. There were at least 2 more copies left, but the last copy of Ghost Squad was gone, it had a $0 scan couple days ago. I also saw Stuntman Ignition and Tiger Woods 2007 for 360s at the clearance rack, it rang up $29.99 and $24.99 respectively. I suspect in a week, or two, those will be discounted more just like THPGLE which scanned at $29.99 last week.
 
tony hawk proving ground only trades in for $14 at gamestop. i called and asked yesterday. it's only selling for like 20 bucks new on amazon as well.

I think it has a gutiar hero 3 demo, and posibly a free xbl month card,. Can't remember for sure what the box i saw said.

I believe the last trade value reported was $25, but you'll have to either print the regular art for it or trade it in disk and manual only. There's no SKU for the LE in their system.

There's a separate DVD with Skateboarding Trick Tips from Tony Hawk, Guitar Hero III demo, character code for Judy Nails and a 1 year subscription to Transworld Skateboarding Mag. All for $14.95...
 
Bought Tony Hawk PG LE at Taunton, MA target. There we about 3-4 more copies, as well as Def Jam Icon ps3/360 for 29.98 and stuntman ignition for 14.74. stranglehold pc was 12.78 or something like that.
 
Picked up Stuntman Ignition PS3 for $14.98 in Easton, MA. They had a bunch of Chicken Shoot for the GBA for $6.98 if anyone is interested :p
 
THPG also has a bonus DVD.

I'm really happy I got in on it, the collector in me loves the fact that it wasn't a normal case with a cardboard sleeve wrapped around it. It actually had its own box art. Too bad it didn't have different disc art than the normal one.

I would've raised hell. It is out on the sales floor with the rest of the product, maybe if they really couldn't sell it then they would have taken them off the shelf.
 
nah man it's on the shelf... not in the cabinets but in the side area with the bargain games, the price tag below the display said $29.99

go back with a different clerk and say you found it in the clearance section and put the other ones (if there are more) over their too on that endcap. It's worth a shot. Then ask them if they can look up the last sale price in the scan gun. Hopefully you get lucky.

I tried to read Jekki's post, but it sort of read out as "I CAN HAZ GOST SKWAD?" with a lot more words and different punctuation.
 
My local target finally put out the cardboard end cap display with Ghost Squad, which did have a sticker on the shelf saying Ghost Squad/Garfield $29.99 but when I ran it under the scanner it came up as item not found. I took it to the front checkout and when it didnt scan the clerk asked me if it was on clearance also ( I also got Stuntman Ignition (360 and PS3 for 14.98 each), The BIGS $14.98, All Pro Football PS3 $7.48 and Tony Hawks PG finally marked to $14.75) and I said yeah and got it for $7.48 also...
