This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Boom Pods are still $13.98 by me. These things hit $4.98, all of my video gaming buddies are getting one of these for Christmas.

What day would they be dropped? I know Mondays are Electronics drops. Would these drop with the other furniture on Fridays I think it is?
 
I was always under the impression that all drops were on Mondays. Prices have been stuck at $13.98 on the Pods for 2 weeks now by me. Also, high end electric shavers(Braun, Norelco) are now marked down 50%. Down from as high as $220. I've seen different brands and models from store to store. Not of interest to me, but I thought I'd mention it here.
 
No price changes this week so far, Lots of NeedforSpeed Undercover showing up, and many titles disappeared (to salvage I assume).

I can confirm Fear 2 360 at $34.98 but the DPCI is 207-22-0330.

I found a Target with plenty of PoP, Afro Samurai, NFS:UC and MK vs DC at 50% off. Hopefully, I'm able to pick them up at 75%. Also, saw that Scrabble psp was down to $14.98.
 
What is Box Office Smash and HSM3 bundle for 360 at now? They should have dropped today but still seen them at 27.98 and 19.98 when i was just there.

I am skeptical about him even picking those up. Funny how I insist that BB might drop guides on other than a Monday, but Target will never deviate from their clearance price structure. $4.XX makes no sense other than an extreme YMMV.

Also in non gaming clearance picked up a Apple Ipod Universal Dock for 9.98 or 9.99
 
Looks like the Muegge Rd. Target in St. Charles got cleaned out of 360 games. 2 SvR2009 left. Just some CD's and headphones left along with a Phillips deck.

Kinda hoping I'll find Fear 2 cheap. There may be a fist fight between me and a buddy if it ever comes down to a single copy.

I don't need a trade, but if people are going to make stuff up, they should at least make the price a believable one according to the pricing structure. I think he must have been shopping at Goodwill and it is still early for that.

I think it's safe to say that he's full of it. $4.xx is like 92% off and maybe 1 copy at this price is plausible but 10 and 5? Not likely. Anyways, I doubt he would trade with me after I called him out and told him to GTFO.

I saw a crapload of X360 games at mediocre pricing today at various Targets in the Riverside County area. NFS: Undercover for 41.98 and I forgot the other but nothing special at all. There were over 25 copies of NFS. I saw Wheelman for PS3 for 29.98 at a few locations and there were more than plenty of copies. Maybe 6 - 12 copies, depending on the location.

Highly recommend Fear 2 at any almost any price below $30. I've completed like 9 chapters out of 14 and it's pretty good so far. I wouldn't recommend paying anything over $40. There's alot of achievements for multiplayer and I highly doubt anyone will get most because you cant find more than 30 people online at anytime. The servers can be pretty bad sometimes and it's probably never going to be corrected. The multiplayer is ok but it's no COD4/5.
 
No price drops today in American Fork, UT. Last few copies of PoP one Lips still there... Hoping they drop sometime this week.

There's a section that sells batteries, look at the end caps all around that section and you'll find it.

7x or 8x Prince of Persia 360 $14.98
2x HSM 3 $9.98

Anyone know if these will drop again next week? I'd love to score some Prince of Persia for cheaper. I've beaten the game before so it still doesn't make sense for me at that price.

Target clearance prices very rarely go to 85% off from 75% off so you are probably seeing the lowest price. I always pick up my copy if I see 75%.
 
Saw banjo kazooie nuts and bolts and PoP for 29.xx and Guitar Hero 3 for 7.xx If only I could get a different Guitar Hero 360 game other than 3 for that price :(

Lynnwood, WA (across from Alderwood Mall) has about 15 PoP at $15 and even more Guitar Hero 3 (game only) for the same price.

I picked up PoP.

I picked up the one they had left in Florence, KY for that price (had to scan it to see the discounted price) but decided to put it back on the shelf when I saw the packaging had been damaged. Game & mics were probably still okay, but I didn't want to bother with it.
 
Went to Target at 8 AM this morning (had just gotten off work, 3rd shift). Not much there worth mentioning. Prince of Persia 360 at $29.XX. Afro Samrai 360 at $29.XX. PSP Star Ocean 2 at $27.XX. Wheelman 360 sold out at $29.XX. I'm hoping the prices drop a bit more, would love to pick up PoP or some of the other games at $14.XX.

Damn, PoP and AS are both still $29.98 here. I wish these clearance price drops were done more universally -- the stores here are always behind, and the waiting kills me. :cry:

Haha, yeah, problem is that with so much advance warning, everyone knows they're coming and can watch. ;) I'm not terribly worried about PoP, as it seems like all of the stores in the area still have a lot of copies, so I'm reasonably sure I'll manage to get it somewhere. For AS, on the other hand, there are only one or two copies in each of the local stores. I really want it, but with my existing backlog I can't quite justify jumping on it at $29.98 when it's down to $39.99 or lower pretty much everywhere else. $14.98 would definitely be my sweet spot.
