Target Clearance Thread XXII

I missed the accessories part.  I would expect it to be the same NOP style stuff though that they're trying to get rid of, whatever that may be.  Maybe you could press them on the vagaries of the sign and get something else but I don't think they'll be ringing up B1G2 on their own.

Those are all games, the sign I saw was for accessories.

Something weird is also going on while the B2G1 sale is happening. It's...some sort of buy two iPhone cases or qualifying products and you get a game free. Apparently Layton V. Wright is NOT part of the B1G2 deal but it's part of the case deal. Strangely enough, when I had two of these $30 3DS games, the other 4 $20 games I had became free anyway.

Confused? Yeah I still am too...I'll try to investigate this further later.

Didn't this happen last time as well?
Might be but this time it's waaay more confusing. If I remember correctly, I tried one of those Skylanders phone cases last time around and it didn't work for me. I know I returned it regardless if it did or not. I do remember where I got it from so that'll help me reduce my search. Afraid you'll have to stand by for that info...

I have no clue why some games are grouped with B1G2, and another set of games were grouped with the phone case deal...and then both deals can "work" with each other. I'll have to go dig up some more info.

So I'm sorry to say that I learned pretty much nothing about the phone case deal...but I do remember the cases that qualified (there were like only four or five on the screen) were at least $15. Meaning you'd need to spend at least $30 to get a free game. Basically you should be wary of which games work and which games don't. Does appear that the two that I saw (TMNT Ooze 3DS and Layton V. Wright) were 3DS. So watch out for 3DS games that say "special purchase/offer." A deal hunter's work is never done I'm afraid. Good hunting out there!

Looks like External Harddrive Clearance is coming again.

Seagate 4TB Expansion Desktop External Hard Drive 056-02-0117
Reg: $119.99
Now: $76.98

Seagate 3TB Personal Cloud External 056-02-0128
Reg: $139.99
Now: $97.98

WD Black Portable Hard Drive 500GB My Passport 056-02-0016
Reg: $49.99
Now: $34.98
Prices are the same around me. I'll continue to check those DPCI's to see if they drop any further.

The destiny 500gb ps3 is showing as is at my store for $140. They had 3 of them. Not a bad price with new ps3's disappearing at most stores. Dpci is 056-02-0117, but it's not showing up on brickseek for some reason. The electronics guy said they should be on clearance.

This is the correct DPCI.

How did you get the app to show the low prices? Was able to find the Logitech speakers but the app shows it being like $68. Scanning in store showed it was $40.

type the speaker into the app and choose your store. Dont go further than that since it will show $68
did this but was still shot down. Was told they don't match clearance so I can't purchase until it actually rings up as 23.98. any reason why it isn't ringing up as that price for my store when it shows that price currently on both brickseek and the app?

It's not a price match, it's a price adjustment. I did it at 3 diff targets for different items and just told them that's the price it's supposed to be since their app says it is. Of course YMMV

Went to a Target this morning and the entire section in electronics that used to house the hard drives and USB drives had been removed. Not a good sign.

It's because the clearance pricing team hasn't done the electronics section yet (most stores usually do electronics on Monday), so the lower price is in the system but not pushed through and accepted yet.

Idk wtf is going on....Target and Walmart are clearancing a TON of stuff from electronics.
I saw on the news the other day that the economy has improved but that overall sales of clothing and electronics are down. In all honesty, I've never bought a hard drive or a USB drive that wasn't on sale or on clearance, so it's not surprising that the section may be reduced or removed at Target.

What a time to be alive;P

Seriously though, I've probably spent $200 on clearance stuff at Walmart over the past week... which is more than I've spent there over the past couple years.

I used to love target clearance hunting, but then it seemed to go down the pooper. Hoping it makes a comeback.

I don't really know anything about Go Pro cameras, but Brickseek says there is 2 of these at my local Target. What is the difference between this LCD one and the Go Pro Hero or any of the more expensive ones? Really have no use for it but since its on clearance I feel like I could use one lol.

Is that GoPro on clearance an actual camera or would I still need to buy the camera?
The LCD backscreen. GoPro's dont have a way to see what ur recording or have recorded unless you use your phone via bluetooth (or get the LCD back which usually is $80)'

Still have to buy the GoPro camera

Wait, was that last one a My Passport or a My Cloud?

Two different things, My Passport is the usb connected personal drive, the MyClouds are the NAS drive they sell that has solid software but can be wonky if you aren't comfortable getting in to the settings

Also thanks for the post, I may have to get yelled at by the wife but get some clearance stuffs

I believe it was a My Cloud. Pretty big box compared to a normal hard drive.

Well I found those Z506 speakers for 70% off. And a Red Wings LEGO Zamboni, and a Batman flash drive... I don't need any of this, why am I buying it?!
