Where is the weekly ad?
They ended the weekly ad for more rotation of deals. Please check the homepage and deal link for the current deals.

I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).


TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

When you're trying to find a game for local pickup to use your $5 monthly on only for GS to purposely stock those games over 30 miles away...
 
First time in a while that the monthly $5 won't apply to cart on an otherwise eligible item. Did they make changes to the site to remove that "feature"?

Same here. It better be a temporary thing, because I've tried everything (new games, preorders, pre-owned, store pickup), and it would be remarkable for them to suddenly say the coupon is now completely useless online

For me it didn't work on any used games under $5, tried it last month. I was able to place an order last night for an XB1 game over $5. dropped it to around $5 before tax. Gonna go pick it up at my nearest store later this afternoon. Another one to add to my new HIE XSX! :giggle:
 
Has the PS5 base model been more than $410 anytime within the past couple months?

Is there any reason to hold onto a launch date PS5 (i.e. easier modability, better components, etc.)?
 
What's the refurb fee on dualshock 4 controllers? Thought somebody said it increased dramatically within the past year, to like $10 or so awhile back.
 
Traded in my Series S for $272 today around noon EST. Now I don't know what to do with the Xbox currency cards I saved up from when Pro coupons worked on them.

There was also a sign that said an upcoming Pro week sale starts Sept. 22, I think it was.
 
Another round of $5 - $10 price increases, some of these are pretty funny though - Pokemon Crystal and Emerald, Skylanders Imaginators for Switch. They could've drastically raised the prices on all of these and they would still sell out because they're going for so much on secondary markets.

credit also works on the Microsoft store and digital movie store as well. You can connect to Movies Anywhere and sync MA eligible movies to other services.
 
Yeah, I know, but I rarely buy movies or TV outside of the occasional season of anime for $5. There's just too many video streaming services I already don't have time for: Netflix, Amazon Prime, Paramount, Disney+, and my library lets you check out DVDs for 3 weeks instead of just 1 week. As for hardware, there's rarely anything discounted, and you can't spend credit if you redeemed 16 codes onto your Microsoft account.

Lol what? So if I redeemed (16) $5 or $10 codes from GameStop, I can't use those funds to buy hardware?

That's right, unless they removed that limitation. If you have success, mention it in the Xbox thread since people will want to know. You can use the funds in orders that don't exceed the total of your 16 codes.

It was funny to see them finally fix the price on Daytona for Saturn after it being $99.99 for so long. Now $39.99.

Oof. Saw a bundle of broken controllers on FB, for somewhat cheap. But there's also the possibility GS rejects the trade altogether... so maybe not worth it (not even sur eif the +$5 controller promo is still going).

What a joke.

I'm pretty sure that's what everybody's intent was, redeeming $5 or $10 codes, was to inevitably buy hardware with it.

May try in the future, but at this point doesn't matter as I have an XSX. Pretty annoying, as I would have just bought PSN credit instead.
 
I gave up on waiting for a PS5 Pro. Unless there's a miracle that makes it fart gold and pegs all games at 60FPS, I'll stick with my two PS5s (Disc Slim, Disc Phat) I have.

I feel like the expectation is it runs all games at 60. Any less then that and why are they even making a pro

That's a big IF. Just speculation, but after the flop that is Clowncord KuSoyny might push the cost of the financial investment loss by upcharging the PS5 Pro to $699.99. Why else raise the price of the current base PS5 inventory in Japan? They've already inflated the prices in Europe several years back. Now they're doing it again. By purchasing the PS5 Pro, we are enabling their bad behavior and anti-consumer shenanigans.

just ordered a total of 3 psn cards from Gamestop. how long does t usually take for the codes to be delivered? im trying to use it for a pre order damn it

This won't matter to me if the system does not have a disc drive. This would make no sense though. Why would Sony release an upgraded system that makes the majority of my gaming library unplayable? Unless they come up with a way to convert my physical games to digital.

It is an interesting mindset though. When it comes to my PS5 I prefer physical and can not stnad digital, but with my Steam Deck I do not give digital a second thought. (granted there's no other option). I guess the environment one creates...
 
I’ll bet the “pro” is not going to have a disc drive. It’s an add on now and forever going forward, if provided as an option at all, is what any for profit console manufacturer would prefer, so that’s how it will be.

It would be scummy and greedy as hell if the PS5 "Slim" detachable disc drive will not be compatible with the PS5 Pro model.

Just trade in your system with power, hdmi, stand, charging cable and controller. You'll get 385 with Pro and the 25 will automatically apply.
Edit: I'd make sure the controller is charged a bit and the system has a basic profile to speed things up. I forgot to charge my controller and had to wait awhile for it to charge up to use.
