The Citrus Poll: Oranges vs. Grapefruit

This should be a massacre. Grapefruit are great, but c'mon oranges are just too strong to be taken down by a 2nd tier fruit. This is like George Mason vs. Uconn or something. (Oops.)

Grapefruit takes a back seat to no one...except maybe Banana's.

I prefer Pink Grapefruit!
 
I see Al's Family Farms didn't waste any time getting his orange related add on this thread. Is that just a coincidence, or is Al really on top of his sh!t?
 
What about red grapefruits? Those are my favorite. I love me some Texas Ruby Reds!

Even tho grapefruits are my favorite fruit, I like oranges, too... and grapefruits are probably gonna get owned by this poll.
 
Grapefruits are a waste....they are the worst fruit ever......the only known use for them is when you want to compare the size of something.

example:

"His tumor is as big as a grapefruit"
 
How can anyone think Grapefruits are good? Seriously. It's part of the fruit Axis of Evil along with the Coconut and Blueberry.

I like Grapefruit juice better as a beverage.

Eating a nice ripe sweet orange is great. All the juices running down your chin, oh its so good.
 
I'll have to go with grapefruit, as I've never actually eaten an orange.

I've had orange juice as a kid, and it gave me such an allergic reaction that I'm not taking the chance. I was at a babysitter's house and had an orange juice popsicle, and then I was picked up to go home. When I got home, I was playing out in the yard and had to lie down because I wasn't feeling well. My mom found me lying in the gutter of our street. So, yeah, no oranges.

According to this chart, Red Grapefruit beats Oranges in nutrition value. White Grapefruit trails Oranges.

Say what you will about Grapefruits, but leave Blueberries and Coconuts out of it!

That said, I totally agree that Grapefruits are just nasty.
 
I"m surprised most people will eat grapefruits over oranges. Well the people in the posts are saying they'll eat GF, but the poll results are saying Oranges.

My mom gets these great oranges from the local florist. They are from Florida, and they are big. Those are the best, nothing I've ever had from a grocery store compares to them. But they are about $1 a piece.
 
i lkike pink greapefruit but if you want a really great citrus fruit go get yourself an ugli fruit. and no its not a joke theres a real fruit thats an ugli fruit and its the sweetest most juicy citrus you can get.
 
Oranges all the way, how can you resist. It also comes in mini versions like mandarins and tangerines, sweetness.
