Yes, yet another indie bundle, but like the Humble Bundle, you can set your own price and donate to charity as well. The games only register on Steam, but that won't be a problem for most here. You get a key for each individual game, so you can gift whatever you do not personally want if you feel like it.

Happy Hour guidelines:

*Happy Hour happens at random times: sometimes as early as 4 days after the bundle going live, but most often during the second week of sales.

Happy Hour! Double Gifts! During Happy Hour time New buyers for every gift purchase get a 2nd bonus gift for free (2x1)! All gifts are doubled! Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT'! *If you have not purchased the current Indie Gala yet, you can buy two for one during happy hour

And if you are an early buyer the deal is EVEN BIGGER!

Yes! If you already bought the current indiegala bundle, you get 2 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 3 x 1 ) *If you have already purchased the bundle, but you did not purchase it in the first week, you can buy three for one

And if you bought it in the first week you get 3 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 4 x 1 ) *If you already purchased the current bundle and did so in the first week of the current bundle going live, you can buy four for one

Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT' ! if you want to take advantage of Happy Hour. You have to check this also if, after purchasing a bundle for yourself with your own email address, you want another additional bundle for you. If you don't, transactions amount will sum on your original email account and you can upgrade your purchase, obtaining more bonuses if you previously didn't unlock it, or more galapoints.

REMEMBER: (Gift purchases are not upgradable and don't contribute to upgrade your personal account for unlock new content.)
***For Happy Hour, you MUST use the same e-mail you used when buying your first bundle, and you MUST check the gift option below the payment method. You have to buy again during Happy Hour to receive gift copies.

CAG Group Buy Hosting FAQ

Q: I see all of these CAGs hosting group buys for people. What's that all about?
A: It's a way for CAGs to help each other get the best deal. One person will buy the bundle during the first week, then they will buy four gift copies at the highest tier during Happy Hour. This person is referred to as the host. They then try to sell these to participants for a fraction of the price of buying the "beat the average" bundle individually, plus some extra to distribute the cost of the initial bundle purchase in the first week. The host gains money back, and the participants get the full bundle for a fourth of the cost. Everyone wins.

Q: How do I host one?
A: To host a CAG group buy, you must first purchase the Indie Gala full BTA (beat the average) bundle in the first week (this has been changed since the previous bundles). This will allow you to purchase four additional bundles for the price of one during a Happy Hour, as stated in the Happy Hour post above. Now, it does matter how much you initially spend, as you must purchase the full bundle in order to purchase full bundle four-packs during Happy Hour. Then, once Happy Hour starts, you buy a gift copy for the current "beat the average" price, which will be listed on the Indie Gala page. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "IS IT A GIFT" TO GET FOUR GIFT COPIES.

Q: It's asking me for multiple e-mail addresses. What do I do?
A: Just skip that part. The links to the gifts will be added to your account page (which is another reason why you must always use the same e-mail address when ordering from Indie Gala). Most hosts will send out the gift URLs to their participants in a PM.

Q: Is it hard to do?
A: No, it's very quick and easy. Just keep track of which gift URLs you have sent to which people, and you will be fine.
Just so everyone knows, this user's Steam ID is luigii and we were supposed to do a trade. I gave him a gift bundle link and he then proceeded to delete me from his friends' list. Do not trade with this person as he is a scammer. Also, he is banned from doing trades on Steam. I blame myself for this mistake and wanted to give everyone else a heads up.
It's sad that someone who has been here since 2004 sees it fit to steal a bundle link. Especially since they are so inexpensive to begin with. Feedback scores can be deceiving too, this guy hasn't traded since 2010 and I guess he lives his life winning by scamming a dollar at a time.

I'm not broken up about it, but just wanted to inform everyone about this person just in case they ever trade with him in the future. I also reported him on Steam, so I guess we'll see what happens.
Stuff like this happens, you make the mistake once and never again. I gave a guy a CD-key for Prey and same thing happened...won't happen again though
Damnit! That CD-key could've went to me instead of a scammer!

I've been out of touch with CAG over the last week of two (holidays rock for everything except accumulation rubbish games!) so if anybody has a spare IG7 code I'll be grateful. I'll send via Paypal as usual.
Damnit! That CD-key could've went to me instead of a scammer!
I got a Prey key off of an Amazon physical seller for like $5. Felt so happy to add a game I wanted for more than 4 years into my library, available to play forever. :D

Two things.

First of all, I'd just like to take a moment to congratulate my favorite Brit CAG on his recent nuptials. I was gonna pass along my congrats in the steam thread when you posted about it the other day, but I figured that you were probably gonna be...well...busy, and you'd never see it. So I wanna say congratulations and many happy years to Flow & Mrs Flow.

Secondly, when the heck is Indie Gala gonna reveal the secret bonuses? Unless they extend the bundle, (which they might well do) there's only a few days left. Shouldn't they have revealed what they are by now if they wanted to maximize the bump affect that added new stuff would generate?

I truly suspect that the 3 secret bonus squares shown on the page were left over from previous sales. They may be too lazy to change the page code ...

Hmm, the Gala store is down. Have no idea how long it has been down or how much longer it will be but it doesn't seem to be affecting the main site.

Part of me is hoping that they revamp the store into something worthwhile but the realist in me knows that won't happen.

meh are any of these gams any good? The only one i kinda want is Kings bounty:armored princess. I havent heard of any of the other ones and am not sure if its worth throwing down 10 bucks or so for them to get AP

You may still be able to buy one off of someone who did one of the happy hour group buys for around $2 and at that price yes it's worth it. Armored Princess alone is worth more than that imho.

Anyway, you can try asking here: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=325538&page=5

Also, it's a cheesy game but I like Rig 'n Roll. :p I haven't really tried the others yet other than AP and RnR though.

IndieGala 8 is out. Includes
Dangerous Waters (Steam)
Battle Mages: Sign of Darkness (DRM Free)
Sentinel 3: Homeworld (DRM Free)
Superstars V8 Racing (DRM Free)

BTA
Ghost Master (Steam)
Dark Fall: Lost Souls (Steam)
Achtung Panzer: Operation Star (DRM Free)
Space Empires V (Steam)
Sacred Gold (Steam)

Only interested in Sacred, so I'll wait for a happy hour bundle.
Thanks for the head's up. Wasn't Battle Mages in a previous IG bundle?
I'm guessing this is the sequel or something

Another Indie Gala that barely seems indie at all. I'm sure most people won't mind but it's starting to seem a bit silly to me.

That doesn't mean I won't go in for a happy hour buy though; I'm not made of stone.
I'm guessing this is the sequel or something
I just went back and checked. It's the same game that was in indie gala 5.

Frankly, the only game in this bundle that I'm really interested in is Sentinel 3: Homeworld. So that makes one game that I want, two games that I already own (Battle Mages & Dark fall), one game that I want no part of (dangerous waters) & four other games that I could take or leave.

I might pass on this one.

Meh. Good value (especially during happy hour) but I don't know if I'll even get in on that. Mild interest in Sacred Gold but hoping TL2 comes out in the next ~month. Other than that... bleh. I guess at least it didn't include Dark Star One so I'm not kicking myself for buying it during the Summer Sale.
Everyone in for a happy hour, no one actually saying they'll host one.

But count me in for a happy tour, too!
There's actually a group buy thread:

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=325538

I'm hosting a group buy but all my slots are filled. I am sure Genocidal and Walkonshadows will host one too if the demand is there. If no one else does I will host more if need be, but I don't think it will be a issue.

Are the "beat the average" games not showing up for anyone else? I payed $10 and only Dangerous Waters is listed.

EDIT - My games are there now after a quick email response from their support.

not sure on this one, already have dark fall: lost souls too.

Double posting to state the bonuses unlocked are:

SBC 2010 (Motorcycle racing)
WRC 2010 (Car racing)

Are these repeats from previous bundles?

Also the BTA has plummeted since the weekend. Wonder if it serves us best to wait for group buys past the first few happy hours?

Yes, both are repeats from IndieGala 5, and they were DRM free then as well. SBK 2010=SBKX. It took me a minute to figure that one out.

Damn. You're right. Time for me to be unreasonably upset over two dollars... :p

Yeah, I'm only interested in Sacred, but sadly, I don't have access to a credit card. Does anyone have an extra Key from Happy hour they wouldn't mind parting with?

While sales to those that have been around may drop off, others get in on these bundles. I just got around to grabbing them a few months back.

The whole Indie Gala 8 was new for me.

I must second this guy. This whole bundle was new to me. I bought it in a group buy mainly for the racing game. The fact that two more racing games were released in the bonuses were a huge bonus to me. Even though none of them are steam, so far they are all great games in their own right. I really am happy with any racing game. Well maybe any except cars 2. Id be happy with cars 2 if I had a 10 year old to play it with. Otherwise it is just a horrible game to play IMO. I dont want to become a negative voice in this thread so I will leave it at that. Keep in mind though, if you do have a young person to play it with, Cars 2 can be a very fun game. Just make sure you have the right audience.
