I've not heard of this. Tell me more!
Not much is known other than those that register Phantom Hourglass at MyNintendo will receive an old-fashioned quill stylus modeled after an item in the game.
I hope it doesnt come out for another 2 years. SO they can polish it up and actually make it somewhat difficult. Not looking forward to this so much. I'd rather buy some psp, ps2, gamecube, saturn, or neo-geo mvs games personally.
Zelda games are just suppose to be fun with a gradual learning curve so its accessable by a large audience. The series has always been this way if you don't like that stop buying Zelda games. If you want a hardcore game go pick up gears of war or ninja gaiden or something.
Ah, very nice. Basically just a green stylus, but a promo nonetheless. At first I thought it was a picture of the MyNintendo promo and thought to myself "Well that ing sucks."
I'll add it when I add those few things DocRamon posted. Thanks.
I preordered mine at gamestop, the only buzzkill is the fact I probably won't be able to pick it up until the friday of its week due to my course schedule
Anyone have thoughts on whether or not a very good condition and complete copy of LOZ Minish Cap is worth $22? I've got a line on one from a seller that has been great with deliveringly genuinely like-new games, and that's what they are selling it for shipped (really $21.94). I just can't decide if it is worth that much....
Do I have to get the skin and stylus? I don't want to. I'm already getting a green stylus and hopefully the quill too.
Why would you buy it from walmart if you didn't want the skin and stylus? See the deals thread on getting this from familyvideo.com for $25.98 or $27.98.

You want to know whether a 2D Zelda game is good? Yes, it's good. Buy it.
Advice taken. Looking on ebay, I see that this is a good price for a complete copy, and a complete copy is much less likely to be a bootleg (and bootlegs are apparently very common for Minish Cap....)
Yeah Minish Cap was pretty good. Remember it was done by Capcom and not Nintendo. It doesn't quite stand up to other Zelda's as it's a little short (you can beat it easily in about 8 or 9 hours) but still worth $22 I'd say.
I'm playing minish cap right now and really like it. Oh and slightly off topic, gonintendo reported yesterday that some people are getting zelda hourglass demos from the download stations in gamestop stores. I'm going by the two close to work today to see if they have it for download. I have my fingers crossed because these two stores are kinda crappy.

Message board sarcasm claims another victim. I have 3 copies pre-ordered for $70.
About Minish Cap, I didn't like it or any of the Flagship developed Zelda titles. People seem to love the Oracle games, but IMO the last good 2D Zelda was Link's Awakening.
My apologies if I missed this...
Is there going to be a special DS/Zelda combo released soon?
Gold/green version like the red/black Brain Age bundle?
No, but would you even buy that? Gold and green? One or the other, please!
GameStop has the playable demo of this game in stores, it seems. It is sick. The stlyus controls are freaking perfect.
How is it different from Animal Crossing's controls? It looks very similar and most people (myself included) hated stylus controls on AC.
Someone mentioned in the new CC thread that if you buy the game from TRU, you get a Prima guide for free. He didn't say if it's the CE guide though, but probably not.
bozon rated it a 9.0 at ign. i've got my hopes up pretty high for this game. i hope it comes through on all levels. i love the style. this should be a rare treat.

The controls are just more accurate and intuitive.
And as far as ratings go, Game Informer gave it a 9.5.
I want a dark green (a little darker than army green) DS Lite with a gold triforce on the top of it.
You stole my idea! I posted that over a year ago when we all thought this game was coming out last Fall . But yeah, I'd buy that in a second. I really don't understand why Nintendo didn't do something like this. They could have made tons of people double (or triple) up on their DS's. I already have 2 (one phat for the kids and an Onyx lite for me). I'd get that green one and give the black one to the kids too. It would be nice to play some 3-player wireless games, but I'm waiting on a new color first (that hideous red/black number don't count) as an excuse.
Anyways, I have this preordered at Gamecrazy. I completely forgot it was coming so soon, though all the standees I keep seeing should have tipped me off.

ONLY a 9.0?? omg thats just as bad as an 8.8. Let's all call for this guy's hanging.
When does it come out? The OP hasn' updated shit in a long time.
10/1.
I don't even know when I preordered this... I want to say 15 months ago or so (yep, my spending tab says 7/5/06). And io, that green DSL was actually my idea.
