The Official Craigslist Finds Thread!

I talked to the guy on Craigslist - he hadn't gotten anyone but me asking him about the games (he posted it at 2 am). He gave me lots of photos and stuff, and I got him to take the price down to $110, which is just fine with me. All of them are sealed, but do have minor nicks in the plastic around some parts. Still more than worth it!

Great find, did he say why he kept them sealed? Because if he was a collector, I'd assume he would know he could get more for them...

The guy talked to me on the phone for a while and said he had bought the games to play himself a year ago, but never got around to it. Said his mom was in trouble and needed to get money quickly so he was selling a ton of his stuff, and didn't want to deal with selling them online.

Just got back from picking up Wii Fit Plus + balance board and Wii Sports Resort + motion plus adapter for $25. Seemed a little too cheap and was expecting a dick-over, but it was some 14 year old kid and his mom just trying to sell some of his old stuff. Everything is minty condition!

picked up 2x TG16 console yesterday with the 1 CD attachment. Also included were 4 controllers, the multi-tap, 2 arcade sticks, all the power/video cords and 20 games, $150. One console is still new in box, and fantasy zone is still sealed!! Among the notable games are neutopia and neutopia 2 which were both complete!

five 3ds games: Mario kart 7, legend of zelda orcarina of time, tales of the abyss, kid icarus uprising and super mario 3d land

$130 a pretty good deal? $26/game

That's roughly a B2G1 price. If you really want all of them, go for it. Otherwise, just wait for a sale.

Got to this within 5 minutes of the guy posting it. He had a blue game boy SP with it that he wanted $25 for. I asked for just the games and offered a reduced price, which he accepted after a little back and forth. I paid $10 a piece. All the boxed games are fully complete with EVERYTHING inside, which is nice. I tried to talk him down on the cart only games but he said $60 or nothing. Crystal is minty, but the others are beaten up a bit.

A few days ago a guy was selling a beat up snes for 40. Yet that also included chrono trigger with the box as well as super Mario land, Mario all stars and Mario kart all cib. I texted the person but they already found a buyer. Would have been such a good buy. I get depressed just thinking about it.

Nice finds! I was too old for the pokemon craze, but I understand the value/significance of finding some of them CIB.

I picked this up for $30 off of the list. I didn't realize these 2 games were in the lot until after I offered $30. The only downfall is that everything had the stench of cigarettes until i thoroughly cleaned them. I'll probably trade the beat up Jetson box.

Ahhh, well for a while I thought I was going to have an amazing find to show off to you guys, but it seems the guy backed out from the deal and cut off communication with me. Very odd too since we emailed eachother for a while just talking about games and stuff, only for him to not show up the next day.

He was going to sell these to me for $155. It would have been an amazing deal; check the prices on some of the saturn games online.

PS1 games -

Final Fantasy Anthology (5 and 6)
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy VIII
Saga Frontier
Final Fantasy Tactics
Parasite Eve
Wild Arms
Breath of Fire 3
Spyro
Spyro 3

Sega Saturn games -

Albert Oddyssey
Panzer Dragon Saga
Panzer Dragoon 2
Legend of Oasis
Shining Wisdom
Shining the Holy Ark
Warcraft 2

WOW that would of been quite the score.

My first CL transaction as far as trading items besides cash.

I gave:
$140 cash
Kinect w/K.A
LA Noire: T.C.E
FEAR 3

I received:
PS Vita w/all cords, box, and manuals. Mint condition.
4 GB Memory Card
Ultimate MvC 3 (He forgot the case at home, grrrr. Probably could have snagged it if I drove to his house but just left it alone)

I'm happy with the deal. I might have overpaid, but I haven't touched the Kinect since December, and also got FEAR 3 for $5 I believe, and found LA Noire at Target on clearance.

picked up a 3ds for $70 (craigslist)
GTA: SA & we love katamari for $5 (yard sale)
White Japanese Sega Saturn model 2 (no av cable, but there was a power cable and I could see the disc spins picked up an av cable off of amazon) plus 2 white controllers and Ultimate Revenge Attack(no idea what the game is) $20

WOWOWOWOW you were the lucky bastard that snatched up that sweet deal off the list? I was salivating over that post for days. I'm so jealous. Are you getting rid of any of that stuff?

Got this off of Craigslist for $70. Technically it was free, since I have been selling those Avengers hotel key cards like mad online:

Turbo Grafx 16 with the following17 games:

Just in jewel case:

Keith Courage: In Alpha Zones
Victory Run
Final Lap Twin
Blazing Lazers
Legendary Axe II
Super Star Soldier
Double Dungeons
Vigilante
Sidearms
Tricky Kick
Turrican

Complete in Box:

Sonic Spike
Alien Crush
Cyber Core
Drop Off
BoxyBoy
Galaga '90

Came with the AC adapter, but she gave me a controller (wireless) for a Memorex VIS and thus I can't really test the console. This is what the Memorex VIS was:

http://www.videogameconsolelibrary.com/pg90-vis.ht...

Good deal?

I listed the controller on Ebay. Honestly, don't know what it's worth alone, but:

CL has dried up lately for me, the same people posting their crud. It's usually around this time that I finally find something, so here's hoping.
Someone wants 20 bucks for disc only copy of Xenogears...should I bite? Was hoping to get it cheaper to add to lowball...
Sometimes Warehouse Deals has like new copies for ~$35. That's where I got my complete black label copy.

Some guy was asking $70 for a CIB sega saturn with Night Into Dreams and the Nights controller CIB. Thinking about biting if its still available..

I remember Nights being the only Saturn game I was interested in. I also remember it being on a demo console at TRU probably 15 years ago, and having no idea of how to play it.

Picked this up tonght:
http://cleveland.craigslist.org/vgm/2967484038.html
broken super nintendo - $1 (cleveland)

I have a broken super nintendo for sale, it does not get power. the sale includes console, cords,2 controllers and 11 games- super mario world 2 yoshi's island, mighty morphing power rangers, donkey kong country 1 and 2, harleys humongous adventure, earthworm jim, u n squadron, speedy gonzalez, fatal fury, pac man 2 and desert strike. the games have all been cleaned but are untested due to the power problem. Asking $40
Countered with $25, ended up paying $30 and he threw in another 3rd party controller. The whole lot is pretty dirty, despite claiming to have cleaned the games, and there are rental stickers all over the carts, but I'm gonna guess the power issue is just 1+ blown capacitors... probably not a tough fix.

I talked to someone who an ad up for "club nintendo items and misc stuff" for $20

He had a lot of good stuff, sealed ocarina of time soundtrack, club nintendo 2010 platinum reward, a wavebird controller, and some other stuff that was decent as well. We settled on a time to meet yesterday and today I called and texted to no avail. Thats the second time in a week someone has canceled on good items, kinda irritating.

I get a feeling someone may have offered them more though, not sure why else they would just drop communication.

Three times this week I've been beaten out on sales. Someone must have some sniffer prowling thru CL with auto-notify or something. I swear....

Yup... You are getting backdoored through craigslist... I swear there is a secret cult of the "Backdoor people" :)

Speaking of people canceling on me... that guy with the saturn games emailed me back today out of the blue, asking if I was still interested. He was asking for more per games o i only bought 2 below. He didn't tell me they didn't have cases or manuals so i was really disappointed, but he lowered the price to compensate; $20 each.

Even disc only, Panzer Dragoon Saga for 20 bucks is a heck of a deal.
Oh, I was thinking it was $20 per disc. lol
I think it was $20 / disc
EDIT: I feel stupid

No, Bing and storin were right. I got Albert Odyssey for $20, and all 4 discs of Panzer Dragoon Saga for $20, or $5 per disc. Total was $40 spent. I got lucky!

On a similar note, if anyone happens to have the manuals or back inserts for the 2 games I'd spend some money or give you a good trade for them.

Fantastic deal on PDS, I owned it two different times.

The first time when it first came out bought it at Toys R Us for $49.99 and sold it to a pawn shop for $10. (dumbest gaming move I ever made) Then ten years later when I was financially stable I bought it off Ebay for $200 complete/mint. Beat it and sold it about a year later also on Ebay for $230. (came out about even because of Ebay/Paypal fees) Now I just have a rom of it and play it on an emulator.

Finally found a deal on CL. There's rarely anything older than ps2/xbox in my area. For $80:

Chrono Trigger
Demon's Crest
Doom
Illusion of Gaia
The 7th Saga
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Street Fighter Alpha 2

The games were dirty, but cleaned up pretty well. These are going in the collection, except for FFIII which I already have.

Came across a pretty good deal I couldn't pass on...

PS Vita Wifi
5 games
(Uncharted, Modnation, Little Deviants, Unit 13 and Wipeout)
8 Gig Memory Stick
Gel Case
Car and Home Charger

She said she bought it for her son but he liked his 3ds better. She was asking 200 but I negotiated down to 150. Not too shabby...

I have my first ever Craiglist find to share with everyone tonight, I picked up these two items for $25. Not the best deal, but I want all of the Funtastic 64's.

Drove down to a mobile trailer park home. Met a guy who deals with colelcting scrap and selling them.

Sold me N64 system, 2 controllers bunch of games for $25.
IMG_0016.jpg

Afterwards we talk a little, and he says he has 3 other games but they are more pricier. I ask to show them to me.
He pulls out Conker's Bad Fur Day, Zelda OoT, and Goldeneye. Proceeds to tell me on ebay Conker's so going 40-70, Zelda for 30, and Goldeneye for 10-20. I said really, I bought Goldeneye at the GW for 1.99.
Afterwards I ask him how much for all 3. He gives it to me for $10.

He then takes out a PS2 slim, which has an Eye Toy disc in it. He doesn't have any wires, cleaned it up. Tells me if he took it to the scrap yard he'd get 50 cents for it, and he gives it to me for free. I give him my business card and give him a few bucks for the PS2, I tell him if he finds more games to give me a call.

I agree, I was floored when he said $10. I thought maybe cuz I'm in some trailer park home I'm dealing with a dumb redneck, but the old guy knew what he was saying.

I was even prepared to pay more. Guess the guy fell for my charm. LOL

What's the deal with the silver PS2 showing the disc part? Is it the plastic underneath or is it the laser that caused it? It's pretty shoddy of Sony to see that top.

I'm pretty sure the "disc" you see is just a clean spot on top of the PS2 where a disc had probably sat for months

That is an aftermarket PS2 Slim lid (that's semi clear) so you can do the boot disc loader and swap trick without modifying the console circuitry.
