The Official Craigslist Finds Thread!
Thanks man!

I'm not thinking I'm gonna be a big flipper, I'm mostly thinking of looking for a YLOD on a backwards compatable one so I don't have to worry about picking up a PS2 for a while.
Unfortunately I think all of the PStwo systems around here at the GS stores that were converted over from new a while ago are long gone by now. They did that back in January of this year sometime. But since it seems like not many people except for collectors are focusing on the PS2 anymore you may still have a shot to find a converted one.
Today I picked up the following NES games:

Final Fantasy (factory sealed)
Mighty Final Fight (complete in box)
River City Ransom
Contra
Battletoads
WCW Wrestling
Platoon
Punch Out
Joe & Mac
Dragon Warrior
MC Kids
Bible Adventures

All for $75. Did I do ok?
Hell yes you did, I can't believe I missed out on that I must have been on Craigslist 30 times today.

I guess that's true. I'm not sure I want to get one right this second if I can help getting a BW compatable PS3, especially YLOD that I can fix for cheap, but at the same time, I could just get a PS2... I need to find it for the right price, but if it's a new converted to used, then 40.00 is the right price, and I know PUR has a coupon to take $10.00 off... Maybe I'll look into it.

I need memory cards. They must have gotten lost somewhere(which sucks, I had so many complete datas saved from PS1 to PS2 cards) so now I need at least 1 more PS2 and two, maybe 3 PS1 cards(I like to save in RPGs a bunch of times so I can backtrack if I can.

Too bad you didn't join the site a few years ago as Sears clearanced the red/blue 2 packs of memory cards for $5 at one point.

If I remember correctly, I think Best Buy may have the single Sony brand ones for $10 new, though don't quote me on that.

Unfortunately if you're looking for spare controllers, pretty much every retailer has clearanced the new ones out by now too. Sears and Kmart had the silver and/or black ones down to $5 for a while about 5-6 months ago.

actually Amazon has great deals on new PS2 memory cards and controllers...

yeah dude. MFF is worth about that total on its own. FF sealed is more than $75 too. nice find
That ff pic doesn't look sealed to me
you can see it on the bottom corners and a hole in the seal around the nintendo seal.

Probably picking up a PS2(slim), two memory cards, two controllers, Radiata Story, FFXII, Crash Bandicoot(Don't care, maybe a flip somewhere, somehow), and Champions of Norath for $25. I think that's pretty damned good.
I mised a slim with games yesterday @ $25...it was a little too far for a drive just for that though.
This is a half hour drive for me, but it's worth it since I have yet to find a better deal in my area that's not some crazy person, or what I assume is a stolen system haha.

I thought about getting a wii and, the way she explained it, a ton of games(turned out to be 5, two of which being sports and sports resort) for 100 bucks. I talked to her, realized it wasn't the deal I thought and passed. She's now emailed, texted, and called me more times then my girlfriend has in a year about it.

I might just drop my offer to $50 to make her leave me the fuck alone.
 Lemme guess, she counted the individual games you can play in the sports and sports resort games as seperate games, huh?

People do that a LOT on CL.
No she just said, "A ton of games, with the Wii everything worth over $400 just need to get rid of it!", and she originally had it up for like 250. I only bit because I figured I could make some money off the games and sell the system to my gf's little sister, but she named off the shovelware and I was like, welp, there goes any money I could have made...

Here's a better pic of Final Fantasy:

Not bad. Not a whole lot in resale value I think, but a nice DS lite for personal use.

I did really well this week on craigslist, outperformed my yard sale finds. Everything is complete with manuals.

Gamecube Bundle: $50
Console, all hookups, regular controller, 2 wavebirds (not pictured) 2 wavebird receivers, nintendo memory card, mic.

Here's the good games. There was also a Luigi's mansion unpictured, want to play that one before I sell it.

More games, that's a gameboy player startup disc. Sadly no accessory to go with it. But already sold it for $25

Gamecube, N64 Bundle: $75
Both consoles have all hookups, 2 offbrand wavebirds with receivers (actually these offbrand ones went to the other bundle, and the official nintendo ones went to this bundle.) Theres a nintendo memory card too.

The bad games.

The good games.

The best games. Labels are all perfect too.

So $125 for everything. I actually bought these Friday, in the same exact parking lot. 2 Hours apart from each other. Went to get the first bundle, came home, checked craigslist and while I was there the second bundle was posted. Ate up $5 worth of gas for each bundle! Lol

yeah. i am keeping it. i collect zelda stuff and i didn't have the zelda DS lite. I am looking for the outer big box for the bundle it came in.

Some kid posted individual ads for Chrono Trigger and Metal Slug 7, for 10 and 8 dollars, respectively. I emailed because he said best offer will get them, and offered 15 for both, then he starts in about ebay prices. DON'T PRICE IT IF THAT ISN'T WHAT YOU WANT

Ugh the Game Boy Player Disc is worth that much? I've been trying to move away from just buying parts so I passed up a Wavebird with broken Z button and no receiver and Game Boy Player Disc for 25 cents each yesterday. Oh well live and learn.

Yeah those discs are worth picking up. Mine sold without 30min of me listing it. May of priced it too cheap.

Also, lol. I put my two gamecubes side by side and noticed one was taller then the other.. picked it up and lo and behold, there's the gameboy player accessory attached to the bottom of the gamecube.

Didn't even realize it was there, lol. It's worth another $20, too bad I didn't catch it early and sell the pair together though.

Yeah the GBPlayers have skyrocketed. I sold a perfect 100% complete one (last year) for $39.99 free shipping and I thought I had done well at the time.

There's a great looking NBA Jam 4-player arcade cab on the local Craigslist for $400. I've emailed a few times and they'll do $300. Still hoping for around $200.

Hell, the thing would have to basically sit in the garage for a while if I did get it.

What would be a good offer on this? I'm not entirely sure what I'd do with it yet. I've been considering building up an N64 collection. I have Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time so I could sell those and recoup some money. My fiance has an N64 + some games but it's at her parent's house so I don't know when I'd get it. Might hang on to the system, might flip it. I also don't know anything about guides but I would sell those if they're valuable at all.

Nintendo 64 and games - $80 (columbia) Super old school Nintendo 64, works great i was playing today. It comes with 3 controllers and 11 games, most with the full walkthru manual. See pics
5N75G15K23M13F33o3c7f6c46b67caeb21ce0.jpg

The N64 system itself is almost worthless. $10 maybe. The value of that lot is in the games and guides. I still don't think $80 is a good price if you plan on making a profit. It is a decent price if you are going to keep most of it.

yea i shot him an offer for $50. i might come up to $65-70. even if i keep everything but the guides and ocarina of time/majoras mask, ill bring my price way down

Yeah, that n64 lot is pretty solid; I see at least $120 clear if you were to resell, so $60-70 is a good buy area for collection building. Just make sure the controller sticks are good and check the system for the expansion pak.

Someone's also selling an N64 w/box in "near mint" shape w/2 controllers, 6 sports games, wave race, mario 64, mario kart and starfox for $75. offered $50 but he said he's asking for way less than it's worth. we'll see if i can get this as well.

I picked up a 48 Xbox 360 game bundle from Craigslist for $90. Resold most of it to Best Buy for $130 about to put up a Battlefield 3 Online Pass on Ebay. Also got to keep about 17 games for my self. Not a bad deal at all.

FF7 alone is probably worth that much. I personally, would bite.

So I found an ad selling an N64 with 1 Controller and no games for $30. I called asking if it had the expansion pack in it, and they said they would call me back once they found it and checked it. Is $30 a good price considering it has no games? I was thinking about offering $25. I've been looking for an N64 for a while but even $25 seems like a little too much for me to bite.

They also had Megaman X for SNES at $8. I was tempted to offer $5 for it.

I wouldn't spend it but thats just me :p The other guys hopefully will give you advice though.

I just spoke to someone who lives one hour away selling this bundle for $25. Is it worth it to take the trip?

Heres what they are selling:
Genesis and all the cords to it great condition 2 controllers
Sonic spinball
Nhl 94
Nhlpa hockey 93
Hardball
Winter olympic games
Super off road
Tengen
Sega sports prime time
College foorbal 97
Mortal combat 3
Larussa baseball
Mortal combat 2
Nba jam
Battletoads
Wrestle mania the arcade game

And another guy selling that Nintendo and Super Nintendo all in one system, it is made by Tomee for $40 but no games, just 2 controllers. Is that worth purchasing. It looks like this:

Might be time to start doing your own research.
Just takes a lil time and you'll learn a bunch for when a "quick" decision is needed.

I've been trying bro :( Its so hard bc I look on ebay and some other sites but that Price Charting list didn't seem accurate.. I mean they have some sports games at high amounts so i figured I'd ask you guys since you know. I may need a little hand holding or maybe a list of some rare games.. I'm looking now for some sites to give me some lists. I don't mean to keep asking you guys, just need some opinions to learn a bit :( I appreciate everyone's help though.

actually I've found it quite accurate and when in doubt just sign into Ebay and search completed listings.
a Great deal will only have limited time to respond and the time you take to constantly post here might take away your window of opportunity.

Thanks donut, I feel like a newbie haha. I've played games forever but never got into buying/reselling/getting a good deal (lol)

Anytime I question the value of a game, I pull up ebay and look at completed listings. Pay no attention to that "buy it now" BS, those prices are always inflated.

As far as finding the rarity of a game, I usually go to Digitalpress's online rarity guide to see it's rating . I don't pay attention to their pricing though, it's way off and out of date. Just remember, a rare game doesn't always mean it's an expensive game.

If you are just now getting into this, it will take awhile to learn what to look for.

Ended up getting the n64 for 25. Came with the jumper pack and a red controller. Controller stick is still pretty firm. Also picked up mega man x for $5.

Knowing my luck I will probably find an awesome n64 bundle at a garage sale for cheap in a weekend or 2

PS1 lot - yes get it. the FF games and metal gear are worth it
Genesis/hour ride - don't bother

you will catch on soon to what is worthwhile or not. I'm not a reseller, but will resell stuff i don't want from a bundle.

Sold Mighty Final Fight for $130 on Ebay, so I made a little bit of money and paid for all the other games, so I'm happy. I asked the dude about that Final Fantasy game, he says he's had it since he was a kid and never opened it, so it may be like a store-reseal if someone returned it or whatever.

Kind of sad getting rid of that game, I know I'll never have it again, and I love Final Fight, but the wife was up my butt about spending dosh on games lately.
Picked up an epic lot of boxed SNES games tonight for $50.

c440cb7324dc177f1690706e068323aa.jpg

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Breath of Fire II, Soul Blazer
Super Metroid, Lagoon, Ys III: Wanderers from Ys
Super Castlevania IV, The 7th Saga

TMNT 4: Turtles in Time, Super Star Wars, Super Ghouls n' Ghosts
Final Fight, Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, NHL 93-96

They all include cartridges and manuals. Some have posters / maps too. Only thing is they don't have the white inner box; if they did the outer boxes would probably be a bit nicer but honestly, they ain't too bad. I'm just thrilled to have 'em. I'm thinking about ordering some of these - I know they're reproductions but they're pretty cheap and if they help keep the boxes rigid they could be worth it. Even the more flattened boxes come out looking quite a bit nicer with the inner box in there.

The nice fellow I bought them from said he found the boxes but not the carts for Zelda:LTTP and Chrono Trigger. I'd have bought even the empty boxes if he had brought them...hopefully the games turn up though.
Sorry I'm posting this so late. I was barely beat out on this lot, but the seller contacted me afterwards and let me know he found more stuff. It's definitely not as good a deal, but I managed to get the following for $75

Chrono Trigger complete
Zelda LttP complete
Donkey Kong Country complete
Super Mario All-Stars box, manual, and Players Guide only
Super Mario World 2 cart only
Super Metroid Players guide only

And 10 loose gameboy games including Mega Man, Mega Man 2, Metroid 2, and Contra Operation C.

Hopefully picking up the MGS Collection for Xbox for $15 later tonight as long as they don't flake out.

It's just 2 and 3 right? The first one isn't redone or anything?
