A: Since it has been converted to pre-owned, there's no easy way to track down one. Your best bet is to go into your local store and ask if they have it in stock.

Yup, the guy I was talking with was even commenting on how they (corporate) are so much in disarray with the conversions. Lets see the official list since I only caught those from my guy and did not push him for the rest.

 
i just called a store that had one, and asked if they still had it, they said yes.

i asked if it was ringing in at 65, or the 18$ price, and they said it was still 65, and then i hear him asking another employee about it and saying "i think he knows its getting converted"

when the other employee got on the phone i asked if there was any way to hold it, they said no, i mentioned i had full intent to pick up the box if it was still intact first thing tomorrow, the manager on duty then asks if im an employee, i said no, then asked how i knew about the conversion.  i just said i took a look around online and found out.

they said as long as i pop in before noon tomorrow they will hold it for me and let me take it.

this was a really funny experience for me. bahaha

whoa whoa whoa, the collectors of black flag is being converted? i know one of my stores nearby has one, can anyone confirm? ive been waiting on a deal to snatch this, and if this is the time, im running out first thing tomorrow to grab it.

No, he means the special Gamestop editions of Black Flag that comes with some DLC or something. The CEs of Black Flag would be much bigger news.

black flag ps4 ce is definitely being converted. I put one on hold and the guy called me and told me, I could pay full price tonight or it will be field destroyed tomorrow and I can buy only the game for the converted price. I believe the xboxone is being converted as well. Anyone know if the PS3 or PC version are on the list?

There none of either platform unfortunately for me at any stores within 100 miles surprisingly

last gen versions was converted out couple months back

Technically, if you put one on hold and it's there they have to hold it for 48hrs correct? So if it's locked in, and drops tomorrow theres nothing he can do. I'll hit up the DM. He wants the goods.

In theory yes, but is more yes and no. One female employee did this to me for the black flag PS3 CE, she called me and told me they don't have it even though it would say my item was ready for pickup… Of course she wanted it for herself and didn't take the online order herself, so I went the next day at opening time and I got the CE that they "supposedly" didn't have.

i saw an XBONE black flag at one of the 3 locations near me, the PS4 edition they had apparently sold a couple of weeks ago, and the last store i went into tonight had a 360 version on the wall.

if any of these are being converted tomorrow i need dibs, ive been hunting for the black flag edition like no ones business and one of my most wanteds.

Yeah same happened to me he actually locked it in before he called me to tell me the same story.

That makes no sense, when you place it on hold the store gets an alert. They have to look for it, than place it on hold. That's when you get 2nd email saying your item is ready. If it was never really there, then you will get an email saying the item is unavailable. She really wanted it for herself lol. If i receive an email saying it ready, and go there and it's not. The DM & HQ will here for me. Anyways I got a email saying that my item is on hold :). I'll go pick it up tomorrow since I want to make sure it's already converted. I also picked up AC3 CE the same way a while back.

Ah, ok. I know my closest GS has the Ferrari wheel as of yesterday. I thought maybe it was getting dropped.... like I need another big ass peripheral anyways.

I already have two 360 wireless feedback wheels/pedals and two MK tournament sticks, in addition to two(!!) wii fit boards. That's just what's sitting near me.

 
Still haven't received a call so I think I'm in the clear. Also if they call me and say it's being converted while it's still on hold, I'll just tell em I'll pay the retail which I'm sure won't be possible lol.  I'm waiting on Southpark & Watch dogs to get converted. Almost bite on Amazon AWD for $67 but the game wasn't that fun when I had it.

Yeah, I keep seeing that at one of my two main stores and it's just sitting on the floor. Keep hopping it will see a temporary "conversion" like those various headsets did a couple months back.
 
so is only ascension ce getting converted, or is ass creed iv limited ed ps4/xbone getting converted as well? and is it just ps4/xbone or ps3/360 too? i'm seeing references to ac4 but don't know why exactly.

I would like to know why I am scum for working at the place that converts the same things you other consumers want since considering I am, u know, also a gamer/collector. Someone enlighten me please.
 
You are not. Don't listen to these fools. Gamestop may have some bad practices (that sometimes cover over on employees) but you can't judge all employees on the actions of others.

For AC4, is it all systems or just PS4?
