Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

For the 21.5" Acer (current model with no HDMI), the lowest I've personally seen it for is $79.98, 50% off. It should theoretically hit 75% off, or $39.98. Yes, Target will take off 10% or possibly more for the display model. Talk to an associate or the department manager. They'll sell you the display if it's the only one left, but the price (before the display model discount) will be the same as whatever it currently is in the system. So if you store is still at the 30% off step ($111.98) that price would apply to the display as well. There should be a small bar code on the back they can scan. Hope that helps.

This is fairly common. Each Target (even if they are within 2 miles of each other) has it's own clearance cycle. One Target I found :wii:Samurai Warriors 3 for $49.99 no clearance, few miles away found one for $12.48 on clearance.

It'll pay off soon enough if you watch this thread and take notes on what games people mention.
 
i was at a target located in central islip, long island. seems to be the only store i found around me that had a clearance section. its on a end cap at the end of aisle facing the rear wall of store. i did happen to notice a few games marked clearance for ps3 games.

A few days ago there was a MvC3 for 360 at my Target. Not an online return, just a new copy sitting on the shelf for $69.99.

At my local target, the mvc3 collectors (for 360) has gone off the shelf into the back, so i'm guessing soon enough (or so) it will be going on clearance for reals.

1. LOL, no, not taped, nor stashed in ladies' underwear.
2. I did not. I already have MVC3.
3. I didn't even think to take a picture.

It was indeed a restock. Condition was OK. It had one of those ridiculous cable tie security things on it, so the outer packaging was a little jacked up, but the steelcase packaging inside looked fine.
I know CAGs have been looking for this game, that's why I thought to mention it. I hope some local CAG got the heads up and picked it up. It's been about six hours since I've seen it there, but it's almost certainly gone now. I dunno, I live fairly close, and have to run an errand in about a half hour, maybe I can take a look.
 
Still not one single clearance game at the Norman, OK target... damn rich people & stupid college kids. Gonna have ti visit the ghetto target in the city, they had a couple good games such as DJ Hero PS3 for 17.XX & SWFU 2 on PS3 collectors for 3X.XX and a few other games for 4.XX such as truth or lies. Then the one by the Air Force base has like 3 crappy guys (like Truth or Lies)

I just got home from buying a halo reach legendary edition from target and i chexked it out and the tape onthe side was still intact. When i took it home and opened it there was no game inside! Just the freaking statue. I think what someone did was buy it, and they opened it from the bottom, which are just flaps that can be reassembled, tookthe game and put everything back togethere leaving the seal intact! fucking assholes! Now i have to hope the store will let me return it. Damn they are not gonna believe me! So be careful with these!
 
I normally don't post but I have to say I found an incredible if EXTREMELY YMMV deal on a Wii for $140.98 in the clearance section. I think it was an online return because it said "Repackaged". It was even a black one with Motionplus. Everything there, haven't had a chance to try it out yet due to school and work but it'll get tested this weekend!

Reminds me of the time I saw a Black Ops prestige box with a spider security device...with the plastic "see-through" portion displaying the game ripped apart and the game missing! But your story sucks even more :bomb:

Did the bottom flaps look like they had been previously opened? I don't know if it is possible to open then reassemble the flaps without it being obvious. I bought a prestige edition and the bottom flaps are very tight and not easily opened so I think mine is OK. It would be helpful for us to know if a package has been tampered with should we consider buying these types of packages. Any additional information regarding the condition of the flaps on your box might be helpful to us all. Thanks very much.

Castleton has gotta be the worst Target when it comes to clearance. They have 5 or 6 bluray players on clearance for 160.xx and shovelware. Fishers Super is much better, IMO. Nora, Carmel (96th and Mich), and 38th are pretty decent, too.
 
I have seen a few good ones there.

I do need to expand my search area.

It's just hard to convince the fiancé to want to go out and do it all.

I may hit up one of those stores Monday, anything of value?
 
The flaps on the bottom were covered a bit by that slip cover thing. At the store, the box didn't look too beat up. Since both side stickers were intact, i didnt think it was opened before. Especially since it had that spider alarm thing on them. Since the box still held when you pick it up. When i opened it last night, i cut the side stickers and opned it to find the compartment that holds the game empty. No game anywhere.

I figured someone stole it, and tried to figure how they got in. Sure enough i realized the bottom flaps open very easily and can be put togethere very easily without cutting the stickers. It's hard to tell if it was previously opened. But i doubt the factory forgot to put the game in. My guess is someone bought it, opened it from the bottom and took the game and returned it "New" since he seals werent broken.

Gonna head to target when they open. I really dont think they are gonna believe me. Damn this sucks!
 
Just got back from Target. I was able to get my money back. I got there and asked for a manager, I explained to them that when I opened it, the game was missing, and before I can explain to her that I thought someone stole it, she says that maybe it's marked down because it was "an incomplete" package, and that maybe it was supposed to be missing. I told her my theory and she didn't seem to be listening and was like "Ok hun no problem, we'll offer a refund".

I am glad I got my money back, I really thought they were going to give me hassle. Whoever was the a$$hole who stole the game, I hope you you get caught, choked, and pissed on.

Just checked to see if this was a new one near me but realized that's my Bay Shore Target. Discovered I have 9 NINE Targets within a 10 mile radius and 4 within a 5 mile radius. Now I need to forget that or I'll spend my life Target clearance shopping.

Not this last go around... The Star Wars, Halo, Excitebots all were holding steady. I usually start my journey about noon on Mondays starting @ W 38th and makin my way back through 4 more ending with Fishers. I try and post significant findings once I leave a store. Ill do the same this week.

Saw Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 Collectors Edition for 19.98. Brought it for the hell of it, though im probally just gonna end up selling it

I that was my one maybe, they had one left as of last night.

Is Army of Two:40th Day clearanced system-wide for some reason it is marked as $19.99 at my Target and has not hit the clearance system.

Probably the worlds luckiest here ill take pics of what I found later but just to say for now I just got killzone 3 mispriced as kz2 as an online return for 14.98... Again I know no pic not real but ill post pics later when I get home as im currently without a working camera phone till the weekend.

I usually hit my local Target sunday at noon cause it right near the movies where i go in the morning.
This week is Super and hopefully the SW:TFU2:CE is at $30
i just want the USB drive and then i will sell the rest on my lowball.
 
Managed to find a SW FU2 today for 19.98 on PS3. It was spider wrapped, but the seal was popped. Noting is wrapped within the package. Should I be worried? There is one piece of paper with a code on it in the steelbook.
 
I managed to find probably the LAST 21.5 inch Acer on display on my side of the state at 50%. Couldn't pass it up, it's my main monitor now and it's prettyyyy. They tossed in an extra 10% for being a display, although they tried to skim that by me. Nuh uh suckers, not gonna happen. Ended up being $71, which is still a steal!

Mine was the exact same way.... I was worried something was missing, but it only comes with the usb stick??
 
Evidently there have a rash of bad returners at Target. My wife told me that when she returned DJ Hero, they opened it up to verify the game and turn table were included. So now it would be even EASIER for someone to take the box, walk around the store and open it for real, and snatch the game.

I picked this up tonight also and the packing was the same.
 
My stores seem to have less clearance stuff in general lately, not just in videogames but all departments. All the old stuff is gone or back at regular price, with much less endcap displays. I think we might have just finished a clearance cycle and have a drought for a while again.
