I'm not afraid of Japan, I just think their games suck dick. They all look the same. They all feature this dude:
You're quaking in your boots, dude. You get super defensive/angry whenever it comes up.

And where was that guy in the Resident Evil games (among other things)? I missed him.
You suck.

You suck even worse.
while it had it's strong points, it might be the most disappointment I've ever experienced as far as games not living up to expectations.

this is from someone who played through final fantasy 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 multiple times and bought 7, 8, 9 (and 10... :puke:) on day one.

the leveling system and combat were nice, at least for the party switching, but blitzball? Syn? there was nothing redeeming (for me) out of the story or the characters (or the voiced parts). Also, the fact that you don't get the ability to free roam until late in the game and even then, it's kind of an afterthough just sucked. set this game on fire and then bury your copy in the same dump that atari unloaded all those E.T. carts in.

That makes no sense. If you can play it on something other than the Xbox, it isn't exclusive. You don't have to have the Xbox to play that game. Which is the point of an exclusive.

RE games may not have featured Pat, but it had its fair share of fucked characters.

Only when they seem out of place. Like this guy:
Nah, he's just terrified of Japan and everything Japanese and rationalizing it.
Yes, I'm afraid of a country. One time, somebody said "this dirt is from Japan" and I ran up a tree.
I want to see Waltz with Bashir.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any local theaters playing it. :|
Don't you have a license? Go see it! I drove two hours to see 28 Days Later when it first came out.
Either temp had county there and then edited it or LP can't read.
I had county for a split second. My ninjaedit is no match for LP.
"I can't read." - LinkinPrime
I can read fine...he stealth edited it when I posted that. I should have quoted him.

I'll have to check it out.

The last time I watched it, I was sick and only got to see 10 or 15 minutes of it.

You're correct about the colors. In fact, it's the only thing I can remember...

I've always liked the use of color in Romero's Day of the Dead. The bleached colors made the atmosphere that much more gloomy, and made the bright red blood just pop!

(Romero doesn't get enough credit for that film.)
Don't you have a license? Go see it! I drove two hours to see 28 Days Later when it first came out.
I won't have my license for one more month.

Plus, I just checked, no movies theaters within 4 hours are playing it. Hell, it seems there are no theaters in Texas that are playing it.

Ones I have.

TWEWY has an awesome moderately challenging combat system with skills that evolve into other skills and such. I'm playing through that right now and all the options of customization of the difficulty and being able to lower your own level to find the perfect difficulty for you is fantastic.

Probably because it had less of a message than the other three, and was closer to straight up gorefest.

My favorite is still Day of the Dead though.

Sk8land is... hot. Just imagine replaying the original, simple Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, with cell shaded graphics, on the DS.

I used to have it, a few years back.

I didn't like Land of the Dead.

I'm going to Kmart. Are there any deals I should know about?

fuck. I was actually talking about Day of the Dead; not Land of the Dead.

You're so disappointed that you didn't catch my two millisecond typo.
Land of the Dead = the one on the jungle island?
Was that a potshot at Temp?

If not: No.

Uh... Basically, the Fallout 3 quest "Tenpenny Tower" is an homage to Land of the Dead.

Land of the Dead was the one about false sense of security, by way of wealth, and the fear of immigration.
fuck. I was actually talking about Day of the Dead; not Land of the Dead.
Hahah. I thought you might have been.

Yeah, Day of the Dead is $$$$. The gore is so over the top.

"CHOKE ON IT! CHOKE ON ITTTTT!"

I didn't notice until the end that the same actress (Julie Christie ) played both Montag's wife and Clarisse. I wish I'd paid more attention to the latent conflict there.
Truffaut also renamed Montag's wife in the film, and I couldn't figure out why. Any idea?

What kind of Zombie movies are Romero's? Are they akin to the shitfests nowadays, or do they have more substance/some kind of unique feature?
Land of the Dead = the one on the jungle island?
Wasn't that Zombi 2, by Fulci? Or any other number of italian zombie movies? Romero never had one on a jungle island.

@brak - No, I thought it was. I wonder what movie I'm thinking about. :whistle2:k

I know there was a zombie movie set on a jungle island or in Honduras or something like that.

Hmm... I dunno.

Romero's films are somewhat misunderstood, in that they're so rich with current social commentary. They're brilliant films, really.

Liquid, the first three Romero movies are pretty much social commentaries with the living dead added as a catalyst. Last two were pretty much normal zombie movies.

Indeed.

Yeah. You're thinking of Fulci's sack of shit, Zombi 2 (or just Zombie).

I have to disagree with that.

Land of the Dead was his most heavy handed, in my opinion.
