The PS3 Controller Looks AWFUL.

while it does look ugly, it all depends how i like it in my hands...hopefully it will either be confortable, or they will come out with a new design

I seriously doubt this controller design is final. I'm betting it's slightly close, but Sony still has a year to tinker with it; just as the early PSP shots were slightly close, but not at all the same as the final product.
 
Man that controller is ugly, or maybe its just the angle the picture is taken in that makes the handles look much bigger than they really are. Either way, I think it looks like crap. I'll take the dualshock anyday.

Holy crap - now that's ugly...
 
One of my friends got to see the PS3 at E3, the line was too long for me to waste the whole day, and was telling me about the controller and how different it looks from the DS2. Believe me or not, but he said it's not that much bigger than the DS2, as the handles are slightly longer and thinner. Other than the radically changed aesthetic design (slick, curved design), it's not all that much of a radical change to the size of the controller and placement of the button. It may just be my crappy way of describing it, but it seems like seeing it in person, it's different than how the pics make it look.
 
I think it is pretty ugly too. But I wonder if it will be good for all sort of hand sizes. For instance, if you have a large hand, hold it more near the bottom, that way your fingers have plenty of room to stretch up to the buttons. Or smaller hands can grip it real high.
I have no idea if that is what they are thinking. But it is what I thought when I first looked at it.
 
I don't think it will be play too much worse than the current Playstation controller. Yet, I will admit it looks pretty stupid.

no, that time was back in the Saturn days. Saturn 3d controller, and that carried over to make the Dreamcast controller. Both which, were two of my favorite controllers. Not too heavy but big and comfortable. We will just have to wait and see..............

Now, oddly, the PS3 controller went from looking way too big to looking a bit too small by putting a hand in for scale.
 
Ozzkev, you have got to be the biggest jackass ever (not intentionally in this case). I am home visiting from college right now and I am at the computer across from my parents room. That fucking song went blasting and now they are gonna wake up. It's two A.M. and even if they weren't across the hall it would still piss me off just because it is so damn annoying.
