Welcome to the Steam Deal Thread V6! You can find link to past threads at the bottom of this post. Read post #2 of this thread for Steam FAQs and more.

With the V6 Thread, we're trying a slight formatting change. We used to list every possible Steam deal in the OP, but they change too frequently for anyone to keep up with (even in the Wiki format). So now, we'll leave regular minor sales out of the OP. This post will keep track of major sales (Winter sale, etc.), Steam deals available through other sellers (like Amazon), Preorder deals, and Group Buys.

I would still greatly appreciate help from you folks at home in keeping this smaller-scale OP up-to-date. This is a Wiki post so anyone can contribute. Wiki instructions:
Thanks for your help! If you notice a sale has ended, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see something does need to be added, then kindly add it to the list.

Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.


Free Stuff - List needs updating with F2P games!
There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

If you are interested in joining the Steam CAG Community or participating in a trade or group buy with fellow Cheap Ass Gamers, please do so in the dedicated threads and not in the deal discussion thread. In the dedicated threads you will find CAGers with the same specialized interest who will be much quicker (and happier) to respond than in the Deals thread.

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card. The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

I should add I pondered on the deal for mere seconds and then the site crashed. Haven't been able to load it up since so I missed this deal. Damn brain.
 
Hrm. Not sure how much longer I want to try for this. It's a great deal, but the effort is slowly becoming not worth it. Not to mention I'm actually not sure how much of that pack I really want - I have Fallout 3 and Dishonored on the 360, already have Skyrim, and sadly have little interest in Morrowind/Oblivion based on how little I've been able to get into Skyrim. OTOH, those codes are worth a fair bit, and could be nicely traded for stuff I do want.

Not that there's much of that left these days.

Well yeah, I didn't announce it to impress anyone. "Something" gets you Homefront, cause I'm assuming nobody else will want it.

Same here. I ain't stressin' tho I made it to the checkout screen before gettin the boot. I'd have to sell a few games from the pack too
 
The only games I have are the TES games. God damn, I missed out on something awesome!

Strangely enough, I still haven't received my order confirmation from Gamersgate. Got a payment email from Paypal, and I've even managed to get a key for Dishonored off of the site and redeemed it already. But no email from Gamersgate yet.

That's OK. They can keep their stinking email. I just want my keys.

You never know. Plenty of people will flaunt what they got all the time. JUst wanted to make sure. Sorry if I did sound rude. I did just miss an awesome deal because I'm stupid :(

That is where I am at. Try loading the payment status link from your confirmation email and paying through there. Good luck, mate.

I bought the pack for three games, already own the rest and felt like being Christmasy.
 
The realisation has hit me that the only thing I'd really like from this bundle is Fallout: New Vegas so I'll just poke around the trade thread for a copy. Should be nice and cheap come tomorrow morning.

I can't even get to gamersgate did it die? What is going on? My credit card is never accepted on there what kind of deals were they having? I can possibly trade in exchange for games already on Steam via gifts or whatever. Let me know what they are having.

I'd say there will be more than a few Skyrim and Dishonored keys for sale over the next few days.
 
I think GamersGate executives will have a bad surprise when they realize that because of all those glitches, they will have to pay more to devs than what they received from gamers.

i got the half life and bioshock last year i still havent passed them lol but yeah 75% off san andreas as well would be pretty sweet

There's a Twitter button in the way of the Buy link. Well, the games I wanted are Hunted and Dishonored. If anyone feels like selling them to me, PM me and we can work something out.

I was thinking about trying to grab an extra copy to help out some poor CAG that couldn't get through to buy. But then it occurred to me that I'd just end up being part of the problem. lol

Really wish they'd bring back the GTA Pack that people were talking about. I'll probably end up getting VC for $2.50 tho. San Andreas is a shit port...
 
This is the worst time ever to forget which password I have for GG....

It keeps telling me wrong log in. OH MY GOD if this is what prevents me from getting this now....
