Ah nice. Now I get how the "like" system works!

Guess I have some catching up to do. Either that, or no-one likes me :(

Coming soon apparently.

I played the Rogue Legacy demo for about 30 minutes and I see what everyone here is talking about.  What a great game and a great concept.  Definitely going to pick this up during the Summer Sale even if it's only 33% off.

Anyone think NS2 will be cheaper during the summer sale? Don't have much money ATM as a student, but bought a $50 Steam GC in preparation for the aforementioned sales and was going to wait until they started, but $8 Natural Selection 2 is tempting...

If you can get into a 4-pack, each copy would be $6.38, saving you a couple dollars. However, if you have the patience, I would wait for 75% off. It might hit that during the summer sale, but nobody knows for sure.

I've put in 10 hours since I bought it a couple of days ago. It's incredibly additive. I'm a little under half-way through for a time-frame reference. There's new game+ as well but I can't see myself doing that. Great damn game though.

Once I saw you could negotiate with space bears in Stardrive, it was instantly on my wish list. Also, it looks fun and like it could suck you in.
Id hold off. Its held a spot in my wishlist for a while, but if you read up on the forums its fairly incomplete right now. Plus alot of the promised features and bug fixes never made it when they moved to an actual release either which doesnt bode well for future support/development

So after reading up a bit more on Magic 2014, I'm somewhat pissed off about the sealed deck play (something I was genuinely looking forward to). They give you two slots in which to create sealed decks, but sealed decks cannot be deleted!

Magic 2014 also uses Steamcloud file save syncing, so even removing Magic 2014 won't help there. Some users report being able to delete their save games manually, only to find that the game gives them the exact same booster packs you got previously, which somewhat negates the fun of deleting your save file and starting again.

Of course, if you want to have a 3rd (or 20th - but not 21st) playthrough of the sealed deck campaign, you have to purchase slots for $2 each.

Massive letdown of the day.

EDIT: To clarify, I'm not saying you should be able to delete and re-roll your sealed deck whenever you want (as that would take out a good chunk of the fun in it) but I would really like it if once you complete the campaign with that deck if you were given the option of deleting that save and starting a new sealed deck campaign - without having to buy one.
I'm not surprised. It's the one way the publishers figured out to get people to blow money like mad. Before, the only way to do that was to release a deck pack worth a few bucks. Now there's no limit to the number of deck packs that can be released. Plus the balance tips in the favor of the person who doesn't care about spending $100 worth of MSP just to get that ONE overpowered card combo of super rares.

What really drew me to the Magic games prior to this one was that for $15 I could compete online against people with the same pool of cards and it came down to skill. Sealed deck mode still has most of that feeling, but at a price.

And for those who didn't get Magic 2013, stay away - there's a major issue where you lose all campaign progress. Card/deck unlocks stick (with some minor occurrences of getting deleted, too). But yeah that moment you were about to complete planechase suddenly disappears.

I guess my problem with this being on sale on Steam is two-fold. First, I do not have a guitar nor the required cable to play. Amazon usually has Rocksmith for $39.99 and includes the cable (and registers on Steam). The cable by itself is $29.99, so the only real savings I get from buying it on sale is about $2.50.

Secondly, Rocksmith 2014 is coming out in 3 months with a long list of improvements and new songs.

The deal on Steam currently is great for people that have the cable already from another system.
One thing to note: If you own the original Rocksmith, you will be able to transfer the songs, DLC and stock, into Rocksmith 2014. So if you buy Rocksmith for $7.50, you can consider it a really big expansion pack for 2014.

You also need to consider that 2014, even without the cable, is going to be $60. It took almost two years for Rocksmith to hit the $10 point with sales. No reason not to start on the original and wait until a good sale price on 2014.

Just beat Rogue Legacy in 14:40 having used 127 children. Hard game, but a ton of fun. Highly recommended and well worth the $15.

I will start my second playthrough this weekend.

Oh, I would never buy it at $15. It's a $5 purchase, max. It's more likely than not that I'll wait for it to be bundled, then buy the key off somebody in the trading thread for <$2. Thanks for the info about the game's quality though. Hopefully it gets some more updates before I get around to playing it. It looks like it has potential to be great.

After catching up on this thread I wonder where you people lamenting the cost of a Magic Online Draft or Sealed were when I was pimping the Hex Kickstarter. Completely digital Magic clone at half the price. Nearly 20k backers, I can see it hitting 100k players no problem when the game goes to open beta, meaning you can draft whenever you feel like it.

I'll take your word on it for the PS3 port. I only know it exists because my son used to play on PC, then got excited to see it come to PS3 and is now back to the PC. Both because he likes the PC version better and because of the big content update that's supposed to be coming.

I'm guessing at least 10-12 cards for Terraria if you have all the NPCs with cards plus the bosses. Even if they only do the original bosses and not the "hard mode" ones.
I'm guessing a card for every one of the NPCs that joins your "town" in the game. I'll trade my Dryad for your Engineer.

A Vita release has also been discussed. I didn't bother with the console release, and I'm glad to see the added content coming the PC's way, but a portable handheld version is tempting for the double-dip assuming it uses the touch screen effectively.

Up to $253.09 steam wallet with around $110 bucks invested to this point. I could figure it out exactly but it would mean going thru over 700 marketplace transactions. Anyway these new trading cards + playing the team fortress 2 trading game really pays off.

well damn, it's been a good run, here's my badge what kind of cag buys something they could've gotten free?
Guys, I've been doing a ton of research and I think I'm on to something.

This may sound crazy, but bear with me.

I don't think "CAG Badges" are real.

And I think this goes all the way to the top!

(Also worth noting I was never issued a CAG card, and have found no proof anyone else was either.)

So I just thought I'd give everyone one final update I have on Magic 2014:

Sealed play is broken and frustrating.

While you have a random assortment of cards to choose from by opening booster packs, the computers have their same pre-constructed decks.  Winning is almost impossible.  I battled the same opponent for over an hour and wasn't able to defeat him.  I guess it doesn't really help that I got 4 Time Warps out of six packs.  Since my only choice to remedy the situation is to start on my second "deck slot", I've decided to give up on the sealed deck mode all together.

Yep, I still have mine (although it's bronze-colored for the '05ers). Never caved in on a good game at release or bought something that wasn't 50% off or more. These other "pretend" CAGs had theirs revoked so long ago they don't even remember them. We may be the only two real CAGs left. ;)

I'm saddened to find out you people are not backing promising kickstarters :)

They're like AA coins. CAGs can tell you how many days it has been since they last overpaid for a game.
Imagine if CAG 4.0 had a built-in feature that told you on your games-owned list every time there was a cheaper price somewhere.

Imagine how annoying & crazy it'd be, if you bought a game week of release at full - and you got a CAG message like ALL the time, even numerous years after you bought the game!
