New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Well speaking of GRiD 2, I finally won one from the Intel/Facebook giveaway.,, thanks to the excellent tips from within this very thread.

Also, thanks to the tip on the 35% Ubi coupon I can now spend time between Steam sales camping out the Ubi sale.[/quote]I give up on this crappy contest after screwing it up yet again today. Changing tabs doesn't freeze the clock for me, is Chrome required for that? Can you describe exactly how you won?

I feel it's unlikely that anyone has EVER sold a single game key in that thread for as much as $30.
I sold one there for $30.

I tried to get as close as I could to 2:47 (ended up getting 2:46:56). Since it's somewhat random, it's hard to say the precise time in which you should click the last image. The clock didn't freeze for me either... I just got lucky.

I'm trying to figure out whether I care about this. Aren't they just recycling stuff from their own bundles now?

I give 10 thumbs up for One Finger Death Punch and The Grave Digger.

I give 10 thumbs down to a game named "Hairy tales".

So I guess its a wash....

But seriously, One Finger Death Punch is mindless fun if you like Chop-Socky flicks....

The Grave Digger is simple fun until the last level, at which point it would probably still be fun if I didn't suck at video gamez.

Cognition Ep 1-2 is going to be in every bundle now that they removed discount for having them.

Tip for card hoarders: Register Episodes to different accounts, so you can earn cards from both. :D (Haven't tested, but it should work)

Two of the times that I tried waiting on the last image, i tried clicking at 2:30 on both and my times were 2:36 and 2:38, this was with two different last images. I was going to try 2:40 the second time but with it being an earlier final screen I tried 2:30 again, shit. So then I did a practice run and clicked at 2:40. After clicking the race immediately ended with a time of 2:40.

How can this contest be in day 70 and 2:46 is still considered the fastest possible time. That's some major incompetence, or just apathy. I think I'm gonna try again tomorrow at 2:40.

Hairy Tales is pretty good, actually. Too bad it's been bundled before..

You say that like it's something new...
Yeah but you know what these monsters did? They put Agricultural Simulator 2011 Extended Edition in a bundle and I bought it, little suspecting that they would subsequently put the 2013 Steam Edition in the next bundle. (No I haven't played it--I haven't even registered the key yet.)

I made the horrible mistake of adding my sister on steam over thanksgiving. Now she's texting shit like

OMGZ you have 2 many gamez

Y u playing games don't you have a job

Who da fuq is tebow tell him to stop asking me to spank him

Yeah, but when you do your 10 page review of improvements in AgSim (that's what us industree xspurts call it) from 2011 to 2013 you'll...

ah, shit, who am i kidding, it'll pad your Steam count and none of the pennies goes to orphans, do you really need any other reasons?

Unlike some of you heartless bastards in here, I don't hate orphans. Except Oliver Queen. He's kind-of a dick.

I usually pass on bundlestars stuff, but I'll buy this to fluff my game count
Mehhh a bundle has to have at least one game I'm genuinely interested in playing for me to buy it.

I'm kinda interested in simulators, but I probably shouldve just bought that sim bundle they had then if I wanted to jump on board that train(z simulator 2012).

In other news, GOG is running a promo of Guacamelee + mutant blobs from outer space for 9.18.

Not the best price evar, but I'm sure somebody lyk mysterd will think about it due to GOGness

Shhhh, just slip her a few Bad Rats and a Secret of the Magic Crystal and send her on her way to backlogging hell. Suddenly the problem dissapears...

I hate that the Steam mobile app doesn't clearly display the daily deals unless it's during a major holiday sale. The only reason I check the steam store 99% of the time is to find out the daily deal. They have a Specials tab but it's just a jumbled list of anything with a discount, no indicator of the daily deal. Shitty. Or am I missing something?

Anyone know if pc games from the UBIstore are steam keys? or do you need to download a separate client.
Some are and some aren't. I know of no reliable way to tell unless someone tries it out or if it's a known Steamworks title.

I bought How to Survive the other day and there was no mention of Steam on the UPlay store page whatsoever, yet it auto-added to Steam.

i thank drabelincoln for letting us know otherwisee i dont know so usualy usee someone to be sacrficie

Starbound looks pretty nice. I hope that mech is pilotable and not a boss, but who knows. Also, a giant banana statue.

On the other hand, methinks this is the perfect time for Terraria (Starbound is just the artist from that right?) to be in the next main Humble Bundle.

I've christened this concept: "The Idiotheque Effect"

NEVER SETTLE, NEVER COMPROMISE, HOLD YOUR KEYS FOREVER

I was wanting to buy Fallout3 goty and FalloutNV goty, has anybody bought those yet?
New Vegas is a steamworks title, so all keys for that will require Steam. Fallout 3 though can have various DRMs. No clue on which version the ubistore is selling.

Dunno bout that. Haven't played original or directors cut yet, tbh. But it does include da dlc, and adds diff options for the boss fights errybody hated

Jesus

I might make a game just to see if it gets greenlit

I don't know how to code but i dont really think that matters anymore

Edit: At least Aqua Kitty - Milk Mine Defender finally got greenlit

Dubble Edit: Looks like alotta bundle fodder games are getting greenlit. If you invest in groupees/indie royale on a regular basis, looks like you'll be having some incoming steam keys at sum point

GOD I HOPE THEY HAVE CARDS

Wow, the one day I missed checking Steam and they had Dust on sale for my buy price.  Sigh, maybe Winter sale will have it again.
