New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Man, it sounds like I really missed out on that initial Build a Greenlight Bundle on Groupees back in Dec. 2012. I didn't start hoarding buying bundles until this past April outside of Humble Bundles. Serves me right for being ignorant. You stupid idiot D7!

Jokes on you, I'm actually playing it. If you're wanting to play a fun colorful casual platformer that isn't very frustrating but retains decent gameplay, Oozi is your game.
I haven't finished it but I found that the later worlds are frustrating (mostly due to controls and sliding around).

Like I said in my Twitter bio:

No surprise - I miss'd some stuff. If Twitter gave me more characters for my bio, I'd certainly fit a bit more into it! :p

Wow, Final Fantasy 8 released on Steam, wasn't expecting that.
It was an inevitable surprise - since they did release FF8 PC years ago.

Glad to see it get a re-release.

Though, one would think they'd push and market the re-release a bit more than what they did.

Seems like they just dropped it right out of the blue.

So, are there tons of FF8 PC mods out there (like what FF7 has)?

Man, I really hope they push all them FF's onto the PC - from FF1 to Lightning Returns.

sure maybe some of it off like music geek heh and put that in and u should you say yes i miss some stuff heh
Yeah, I definitely <3 music.

Especially hip-hop, rock, R&B, and pop.

Hell, I just bought Danny Brown's "Old" album a little bit ago.

I tell ya - Google Play and Amazon MP3 are getting more sales from me than games have been, hehe.

^_^ Thanks! It's good to be back! :grouphug:

I remembered the other tip I wanted to give for GRID 2... when drifting around sharp corning, go easy on the accelerator (just lifting off the accelerator once countersteering often keeps me off the walls.(
Oh great, I told 'em that you flew off a cliff in the Andes into a squadron of Apache helicopters carrying fireworks shaped like Antonio Banderas' sideburns to Buenos Aires when you attempted to drift under the tractor trailer carrying Mystique and Juggernaut in your pink Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. Way to make me out as a liar, ya MysterD.

OMG! Kitty's FINALLY back!

WB!!! :D

EDIT:

TDU2 is one of the best racers in years.

The handling model is great and scales well from simplified (arcadish) to sim-like (w/all assists off). The map is *huge* and well done... you can drive literally anywhere... try to make you way fully off-road and off-trail if you want. The AI does a good job. It plays well with controller and wheel. There's a lot of sims-lite stuff too that I haven't dug into too much. There's a strong sense of progression as well. Probably the hardest bits are the license-tests, so try not to let those stop you.

I highly recommend TDU2.

If you turn up all the eye-candy it gets hard on the GPU... but it's easy to dial down to gain fps.

I really want to finish it out with my G27 since I've gotten too good at it with my controller. I simply love the handling model.

Edit: Oh yeah, other random notes... 5 activations IIRC, and the steam version uses the game's MMO-like patcher... expect a 1 GB patch after you launch it for the first time. ...I was sorely tempted to rebuy the steam version just for achieves...
I love TDU2 - that's my Skyrim for racing games; the game I always eventually come back to b/c there's just so much & too much to do.

Yeah, licenses can be tough - but if you can pass those, you pretty much can do ANYTHING in the game. :D

As much as I do like NFS: Most Wanted (2012), yep - it's missing certainly something. Namely, it's missing some personality and a bunch more of different type of race-types and/or missions.

Okay so...I finished today's Grid 2 thing on Facebook with 1:31, didn't even stop the timer with the tab switching. Will my time just be disqualified?

UbiSoft sent me an email...

cCJrHJG.jpg

Except, erm, that's not my name or anything like it.  And the link (yes, I double-checked it before clicking) leads through the UbiSoft site age verification and then a generic looking page about Uplay for your PS4 or XBox One :whistle2:k

Asking here in case anyone else got a similar email or its somehow related to the 35% off coupon and I'm just too dumb to figure it out.

even if it isn't, it's not gonna win you jack. Look at the leaderboard that it post right after you submit your score and you'll see how messed up the score tracking is. Generally your aiming for 2:46:00-2:47:00, but people have been winning with random times, but none of them that high.

I just got the same email. I haven't tested it out yet, but I believe it must be tied to the 35% off coupon since that's the only reward I activated a few days ago.

Now we just need to wait for something to use it on. Hmm...

Imagine if FF7 was $3 again and we could use 35% off of that price... ;)

Was your email actually addressed to your name/login/something related to you?

Someone in the thread I had started for this offer also got an email and it also wasn't remotely addressed to him.

Could drop that mad dollah on some Humble Bundle, dawg.

Email was not addressed to me.

Though I think that's a neat coincidence that somebody in your thread got the one addressed to me.

Yeah, you enter it in the cart as a promo code, takes 35% off...although I added it to an item, and then removed the item from my cart. Now I can't use the code again, the site thinks I already used it....F*ck Ubishop with Ezio's Hidden Blade.

Here is another code 10thanks, takes 10% off Ubishop crap. F*ck DoobieShop.

I've missed out on quite a few greenlit Steam keys by passing on a few select Groupees bundles. I believe I passed on the Bundle of the Damned 2, as well as the build a greenlight bundle 2.
The beauty of it is that they'll all be bundled again, only next time as Steam keys.

Just got the same thing and it isn't anywhere close to any name I've used, not even in the porn circuit.

My "ubi name" is NazcaPrime. I kinda like it.

Did the same thing. Now I get to buy the Super Ultimate Trackmania Mega Anniversary Forever Collection for $19.49.

:whistle2:(

Yes, the email and code was specifically addressed to my Uplay username. I wasn't expecting to receive the coupon until 7-9 days later or however long the initial confirmation suggested when I activated the reward. Bonus!

Damn! That's harsh. That's like a hidden blade up the ass then being dumped into a cart of hay. Thanks for being the tester on that, your sacrifice won't go unnoticed.

I'd try activating it again later and perhaps even on another browser next time. Could be a browser cache/cookie issue like what happened on the "cagrocks" amazon coupon a while back. Or at least I think there was an issue with that.

{brain shrug}

I wiped my entire cache, etc. on Chrome and also tried IE...no dice.

Whatever. Their site(s), with their asking for my "Date of Birth" 3,021,234 times, sometimes I'm on ubisoft site, sometimes I'm on their store site....
