New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Voting for Bioshock cause I already have everything and just want the snowglobe, to sell.

Time to complain about the Flash Sales!

Game Maker Studio - whatever

Stardrive - abandoned game

Primal Carnage - multiplayer only

Contagion - I seem to recall someone mentioning earlier in this thread something to complain about regarding this game, but I can't recall. Help?

Now we need reasons to complain? That's not the CAG I know and love.

Still hoping that Winter Voices hits a flash deal. I'll buy it at the end of the sale for 50% off, but not happily.
Same. I'll buy it and grumble grumble because I think a sale probably ain't gonna happen. It's a pretty niche game and it was heavily promoted in the summer sale a couple of years ago but most people just bought it to get those summer camp tickets and then never touched it again.

I do actually really like it and am looking forward (and kind of dreading at the same time because those battles are LONG) completing it. The complete series of episodes almost didn't get made and a took a long time to get that last one so if I absolutely have to be in for $5 then so be it.

It's not like there's other places to buy it from.

And now I return this thread back to its regularly scheduled Deadpook panic.

I'm glad I bought the Deadpool DLC when it was 75% off.
I kind of wish I did but OTOH I know that's just ZOMG I CAN'T GET IT ANYMORE OCD talking.

I've heard the DLC is just a challenge map so no extra campaign stuff and the 2 extra costumes are only usable in those DLC challenge maps so meh.

I just know that one day soon I'm going to see an article in the quirky section of my tech news: A man wearing a spiderman outfit and antlers was beaten unconscious with a prototype game console.

I don't know if they are flagging this game in particular for some reason or what but I have bought from Gamefly many, many times and never got purchase under review until I bought Deadpool.

I placed the order last night and had the order approved and the code emailed to me first thing in the morning. YMMV, especially with New Year's being a holiday but I'm pretty sure it will go through eventually.
... now that I think about it, the only other time I got flagged for review was when I purchased Postal III.

So it's probably related to the game's rating. (Both of these are rated M.)

Usually the only time my gamefly orders are sent for review are when I order from a mobile device.

I can fax you 80€. Don't mind if it's 4x20€ with same serial number thought, it's OK.
I really do have a copy of Deadpool and the dlc sitting in my inventory, I was going to unpack it after the winter sale. Now I may just leave it there as a collector's item.

I tried that newegg razer thing, they force you to enter payment info... for a free item. So I chose Paypal and it gave an error, said it can't process the transaction. Whatever, I didn't really want it anyway! :(

Tomb Raider is worth more than 7.99, buy it.

I imagine most PC CAGs living in the states has a newegg account or two...

So everyone is buying Deadpool solely cause it was taken off Steam? I would expect they'll re-add it later, who wouldn't want to sell on Steam unless they were EA? I watched some footage of the game last night and it looked okay... it doesn't look like something I'd want to pay $8 for right now. Then again, dat Nolan North.

Maybe but maybe not. There have been other Activision games that got yanked and never came back like 007.

I did want the game, but I wasn't planning on buying it yet.

It's an Activision game, AND it's a Marvel game, so it's a double whammy of never coming back. Disney owns Marvel now, and they were the ones that got MvsC3 pulled from digital stores since they never renewed the contract with Capcom.

Eurogamer blurb:

Gameplay-wise this is mediocre, it's got some rough edges and only a few truly great moments. It really is action from the assembly line, nothing more, nothing less. The meta-humor on the other hand is fantastic and well delivered, if an acquired taste. Deadpool aficionados might just enjoy their five to six hours with this.
I'll save the $8!

Damn. I would pay $5 for this game, but if I don't pay $8 now I may miss the opportunity to ever buy it? This is a predicament a CAG should never have to deal with...
That is precisely the problem. It fucks with our OCD. Most will probably never play it but once you remove the option to play something then people notice.

I mean my whole damned collection is just a bunch of options. Options that I never take for the most part but they are still my options! :p

Disney is pretty weird with their PC games. They actually have some but who the hell would know because they don't sell them any place of note.

And yes I know they sell them on Amazon but who actually buys direct download non-key games from Amazon that isn't named MysterD?

This pretty much sums up my thoughts too.

I'm just glad I somehow managed to convince myself it was a good idea to buy it from Gamefly on Friday. Now I don't have to deal with this last minute decision.

Like you, I had the bad taste good sense to pick it up the other day when it was on sale. Still have it in my inventory. Trying to decide if I should buy a second copy from gamefly and the DLC from amazon so I can have the copy in my inventory as future trade bait.
