I wonder how KMart is going to handle this. I wonder if the confirmation emails were just through force, and not by actual, real confirmation. Also, I wonder if all the online store-pickups are going to get a console, leaving none for walk-ins? I bet the fog will start to fade a bit tomorrow night.

Yeah man its all good no offence taken!, Also just got an update kmart gave me a tracker number woot!
So far the winners seem to be walmart, kmart and gamestop, Target and best buy are also making me nervous its never good to hear of others getting their orders earlier than you when they placed it today or within the week lol. Oh well my guess is they could be delayed or seriously back logged. :applause:

Saw a few Best Buy employees putting up Wii U games for sale at my local store today. I asked them how many consoles they will have on launch day. They told me they just got the boxes in today but have not open them yet to see how many they have but people that choose to wait in line on Sunday should be able to get one since my local store didn't get much pre-orders in before they stop doing them.
 
So my local Best buy guy has told me, They have 80 systems and only 20-30 preorders and 3 times as many deluxe as they do basic model.

Scaplers might be SOL

Has anyone read anywhere is the wii u supports 1080p 3D? Afte rjust playing a few 3d titles on our s3 and our new 82" 3d tv, I'm wondering if it'll be supported for the wii u?

I also haven't read anywhere if the hdmi cable that comes with the wii U is hispeed or not.

We also checked, and walmart will NOT price match percent off game deals liek the TRU one next week on wii U games, so it looks like we'll just have to make another tru run.

(Does best buy pricematch b1g1 40% off type deals?)

Called them. First they told me it was backordered and that they would refund my money. I went nuts, demanded that they not do that. They put me on hold, came back and said it will release on Sunday and that I'll get it Monday, as originally intended.

Strange things are afoot at the Circle K...

That and the guy that donated one to a charity raffle that will be enjoyed by a family having a rough time are the best things I have heard all day.

Then I read the posts from the Duke Nukem Forever fan club. Way to ruin a good mood guys ... :lol:
 
Hmm i hope I dont have to wait for an email on launch day to pick up my Wii U from bestbuy, I did instore pickup online.

Hopefully they send an email tommorow
 
I just contacted New Egg about the Wii U Pro Controller release date...and this is the reply I got:

"We apologize for the inconvenience. We have an ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) as 12/31. It is for all the pre-orders. Please keep in mind that this is only an estimated date of arrival given to us by the manufacturer. "

I'll probably give it until Monday or Tuesday, and then I'll cancel and try my luck elsewhere. I just really wish this wasn't the case because I got a great deal with that $12 promo. Oh well....

I really, really hope this is readily available. fuck shortages. I want my friends to be able to get this. I am the only one of my friends with a preorder. That shouldn't mean I'm the only one who will get one. I mean, fucking Nintendo... They just don't learn. Shortages on every home console launch they've ever release and most of the handhelds. Having to delay Smash Bros Brawl a fourth time for a full month because they hadn't made enough discs to cover half of the preorders in time for launch. Pokemon games and Mario/Zelda launch titles being in short supply historically.

Why doesn't somebody over there learn from all this and do something to better gauge demand and make supply to meet it? For fucks sake.
 
im seriously thinking about camping at my local walmart just to get one, i did not layaway one but just to stand in line and get on is a thrill i might take to get it. My gamestop and bestbuy-"which i still havent heard anything from" are not doing midnight release , i also did the bestbuy online ship to store option no notification yet, only payment pending still.

You gotta stop shopping at Gamestop. I've never seen any of the Nintendo games like Pokemon, or Mario in short supply. The big stores like TRU, Target and BB always get hundreds of copies. No preorder needed.
 
Anyone who preorders games is a fool, unless they are giving bonus credit.

The only game I seen get preordered out was Smash Bros at multiple gamestops around me, all recieved 200+.

But their were many other stores that opened at 10 A.m anyway so all you missed out on was the midnight release at gamestop.

I don't think you need to worry. Stores are only starting to get there shipments in this week with most probably not getting them until Saturday. Even if the first wave of shipments sell out, the next wave should be coming in the week after based on what Nintendo has said about not repeating the same thing with the Wii and giving North America priority of the Wii U consoles instead of other regions. Out of the 3 major stores I been to target, best buy, and gamestop so far. Gamestop is the only one telling me not to bother coming in on Sunday cause they don't have any for non-preorders.

I shop all over, and both in store and online. Not just GS. I remember Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Pinball, and roughly every main series game since selling out its first shipment around me, and some online sites. Are they impossible to get at launch without a pre-order? No, but they can be a pain in the ass. Some with launch Zelda and Mario games. I remember people talking about Twilight Princess being nowhere, and I specifically remember people not being able to locate Luigi's mansion. Not to the extent of console shortages, but still not readily available everywhere off the bat, which I think they should be.
 
So weirdly enough the eshop icon appeared when I started my console today. Odd because the system update hasn't been pushed out yet. That being said the store is currently unpopulated.

Hello Everyone,

I must say this system is incredible! I just got mine yesterday. I would have posted then but I could not stop playing long enough to do so!

The controller is ever lighter and nicer without the game stop cord and the sound from it is crystal clear. Also for those of you with surround sound, in Nintendo land it sort of blends in by playing on the off beats of your speakers making for a cool 3D sound effect.

The new mode added to the Mii maker part is cool.

Donkey Kong crash course is a new game with retro awesomeness!

...about the stock. My "major retailer" (sorry do not want to get my store in trouble for breaking the street day which I am appreciative of!) told me that they had over 10 pre orders and got in way less than that- eight I believe and some were white, some were black. The said they may get in more on Saturday though and did not know... could be a sign of a shortage....

Funny thing though...I noticed after we got back with them that they were in a box labeled do not sell until 11/18/12 LOL.

Now back to playing!

 
Eh did anyone watch that GT Live Stream? I think It's probably a good thing I don't really have the money to buy this right now. I can see it being awesome in the future but I think I'll wait until they get everything straightened out before buying one.
 
I'd buy one especially since I tried it out at BestBuy but the only games I'd really want right now are New Super Mario Bros Wii U & Bayonetta 2.

So far, I managed to snag:

-Wii U Basic Reservation Card @ Target weeks ago (my backup)
-Wii U Deluxe in-store-pickup order @ Kmart yesterday (got the confirmation email, but I ain't trustin' it)
-Wii U Deluxe Bundle @ Newegg just a few minutes ago (priority #1)

It's a shame that the Newegg bundle forces me into getting BLOPS II; I'm not really a CoD fan, and if I was I'd rather get it for PC or Xbox. Still, I guess I should be thankful that all three games are high profile and not something like Funky Barn. Assuming my Newegg order goes through, I'm hoping my Kmart order either falls through or is cancel-able. Now to wait and see.

man i would bit on cod but i heard the wii u version is missing all kinds of stuff vs the 360 and ps3. Kind of a shame,. Im also hoping that rockstart puts out gta 5, i heard the lead guy doesnt like the wii so they not even pursue it. kind of makes me upset.

My instore pickup order says the same. I plan on calling the store tomorrow and seeing how they are handling everything Sunday morning.Bestbuy is my backup plan as i already have a pre order in at gamestop and its paid off and they have told me numerous times that i will get it on launch day.
