Okay, I was wondering because I was reading somewhere that some people are translating certain PSP games that came out in Japan into english. How does that work?

I know that there are no region codes for PSP games so I could play a Japanese game on a PSP over here. But Unless a game is in english, that's not much good. SO I heard that one of the Tales games has been translated to english. IS that some firmware you put on your emmeory card that runs the translation?

Also, what games have been translated, if any. And does anyone have any experience with their quality.

I justy noticed there seem to be a lot of cool PSP RPG games but it sucks you can't play them if they aren't in English.

A few of mine games came with translation books, also google will yield a few results but mainly to translate menus. I've never seen any game translated 100% for an RPG since its not linear; you'd have to skim through a book looking for the screen that you were on. I've not seen anything that would translate a game while you play or change the game to an Asian language to English.

Tales of Eternia has an English patch. However no translation was done as they just copy some files from the US PSOne version. You need to have the game on a memory stick and apply the patch. You can avoid all this by importing the PAL version next month.
