I recently got a pre-owned game cube, and was looking for some good 2 player (preferably co-op games). Or some more games like billy hatcher and pikmin.

I already have:

Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
Pikmin
Viewtifull Joe
Harvest Moon
MSG Twin Snakes
Ikaruga
Starwars: Rouge Squadron 3

Hunter the Reckoning is decent and some people loved it I knew for up to four player co op.

Rebel assault 3 has rebel assault 2 as co op.

Alien Homonid

The Mario Party games are great multiplayer

Viewtiful Joe 2 has 2 player co op

There are tons of them actually

Mario Party (4-6) are great games for 4 people, but be warned dropping down to 2 or even 3 players means playing with a computer opponent also. This just seems to make the game a lot less fun for us. Even at hard the computer isn't that tough, and it takes away alot of the party, hope that makes sense.

I'd highly recommend the following (all co-op):

Gauntlet: Dark Legacy
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Hunter: The Reckoning
Alien Hominid

Thanks a lot, I was looking at alien hominid, but it's reviews weren't to good. Is it just under rated? Also I forgot to mention gamecube exclusives cause i have had an Xbox since it came out so i can get aport if I need to.

See for yourself:

Cheap ass link

It was based off the online game.

It's Contra mixed with Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. Its cute, but hen again, you can gut FBI agents.

The only things against the game is that it is quite hard (but beatable), and short (but still multiple times longer than any recent Contra). There's a lot to unlock, a few mini-games and Hats! its damn fun, and cheap ($30)

PSO Ep. I & II and PSO Ep. 3. These are best on the GC imo - some may argue the Xbox's voice support on Ep. I & II, but I prefer paying the single hunter's license fee on the GC to play both games. Ep. 3 is completely different, being a fast-paced card battle game, but is equally addictive. Also, any other Sonic Team game saves you have will unlock cards in Ep. 3, including Billy Hatcher. ;)

I'm also a big Billy Hatcher fan, I think it was a very underrated platformer. The other main GC platformer I'd recommed is Mario Sunshine. Yea, it's not like you've never heard of that one I'm sure, but for some reason it gets unjustly slammed a lot. It's a great game imo, a lot better than Mario 64 was.

Some other underhyped/underrated games to look out for would be Sphinx, Metal Arms, Kirby's Air Ride, P.N.03, Gotcha Force (kinda hard to find, but worth the effort), and Luigi's Mansion.

A lot of great games already mentioned:

X-men Legends
TS2
Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2
Mario Party 4-6
Mario Kart DD

And some more that I'll add:

Gladius (my favorite game on the cube)
F-Zero GX
Serious Sam
Mario Golf
Medal of Honor: Rising Sun
Extreme G3
The Midway Treasures games have some decent games on them

and finally all the sports/wrestling games, NHL 2004 is a favorite of mine.

This is old I know but I recently picked up Balders Gate.

Even though I have a cube version and it isnt as smooth as the others are (according to the reviews due to crappy port job) Its great.

I don't know why some development studios can't do a better job porting good games to other systems. They have a proven winner on their hands, and yet they still manage to take a great game and lower its overall quality (and consumers' enjoyment of it) by giving it lousy frame rates, audio problems, bugs, etc. because they just couldn't take the time or effort to do the job right. Lame/10
I wouldn't get Smash Bros. for two players. Three or four, yeah, but not necessarily two.
I think it's best with 2 players. I prefer the strategy of 1 on 1 to a free for all with 4 people.

I see u got Ikaruga. My favorite game, and co0p mode included! AWESOME.

My second co-op game is Lord of the Ring: Return of the King, but it's not Nintendo exclusive... but still has an addicting and hard co-op gaming experience. Can't think of any other co-op-able game.

Lots of great multiplayer games though. F-Zero GX is a great game with multiplayer. If u like Ikaruga, F-zero is a great choice for hardcore gamer.

Exclusives:

-Super Smash Bros. and Super Monkey Ball have been mentioned already several times, but I'll mention them again. Both are must-owns.
-Pac-Man vs. One person plays Pac-Man on a GBA with a link cable while the other players play as ghosts. Best played with four players.
-Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour. You can taunt other players, or cheer them on!
-1080 Avalanche is worth a mention as well.
-The multiplayer in Mario Kart DD is great, but I'd suggest waiting for a price drop.
-Beach Spikers is a pretty good arcade style beach volleyball game from Sega, with digitalized babes.

Non-exclusive games with exclusive features:

Soul Calibur II: Thanks to the kind people at Namco, SSBM isn't the only fighting game where you can kick someone's ass with Link.

Non-exclusives:

-Burnout 2: Point Of Impact is the best racing game on the GC, and has some pretty good multiplayer options as well. Unfortunately, it's limited to 2 players.
-If anybody's looking for a puzzle game that supports up to four players, it's your lucky day - Zoocube does just that.
-007 Agent Under Fire supports up to four players. It's no Goldeneye, but my friends and I had fun with it. Unfortunately, Everything or Nothing's multiplayer options only support 2 players. I don't own Nightfire so I don't know how that is.
-I'm also going to throw in Sonic Mega Collection. Multiplayer Sonic 2 was awesome on the Genesis, and it's just as good here.
