Wavebird Gamecube Wireless Controller

I just got a Wii and I would love to have one of these, but all the normal places I buy stuff from the prices are outrageous! Are there any good deals on these anywhere anymore?

The only gamecube type of controller that Nintendo is supposedly producing and is selling in their store is the normal wired controllers for 25 dollars.

And on gonintendo.com I found this article where Nintendo is not planning on restocking wavebirds heres an excerpt of an email from a Nintendo rep from the article:

"I haven’t heard of any plans to offer the WaveBird Wireless Controllers in stores again (I did some checking, and we are still shipping the original Nintendo GameCube Controllers to stores). If you’re unable to find the original Nintendo GameCube Controller locally, you can still order this item from us. - Nintendo customer service rep"

So at this point finding a wavebird itself is a YMMV situation.

I picked up a used Wave Bird at GameStop for $17 the other day...not too bad.

Good luck as it took me about 3-4 stops to find the damn thing.

Yeah there preatty hard to get i got one for 15 bucks used cause i used the GI discount but i had to look for it at almost 5 gamestop store just to find one

Thanks guys. I'll check the like 5 gamestops I have in the area and if not I'll go the EBAY route. Shame they discontinued them. Who the heck wants a wired controller these days!

Agreed, they are a lot more desirable now considering everything is wireless, especially if you are playing Gamecube games on a Wii.
