What is the cheapest ever game you have bought.

I don't even know how much that is, but the cheapest I got is free or I actually make a profit from buying the game, but if you're talking what I've paid for and it wasn't a trade in deal. I paid 1 cent for Star Wars Clone Wars/ Tetris Worlds for Xbox at Circuit City.

$0.49 each for Zelda Collectors Edition. It was at a K-Mart that was going out of business, and there were 4 loose copies sitting right by the cash register.

Even cheaper when you consider the profit I made... I used the trade-ins to finance a Mortal Kombat Deception pre-order and an XBOX console. My personal best-ever cheapass find, by far.

At http://www.x-rates.com/calculator.html you can get conversions if you're curious.

Yep, not counting ones I've made a profit on or gotten "for free" I got a pennied out Jet Set Radio Future/Sega GT 2002 game at Circuit City. So 1/2 a cent per game.
How is this general gaming and industry news?
I always thought they were two different things lumped into one category.

'General Gaming' (which this falls under) and 'Industry News'
Don't know if I'm right or not.
[edit: guess I'm not, since it got moved.)

The cheapest game for me is probably Beyond Good & Evil for $1.99 at CC, after I had traded in my original copy and regretted it.

Also got the Rebel Strike demo at BB for a penny but it's not really a game, just a demo. Actually the girl at the register supplied the penny even though I had one. I thought maybe she liked what she saw, I told my wife that and got an 'uh-huh' in response.

I've gotten some games for free, but since you were talking about bought, I would have to say my promo Shadow Hearts 1 for 1.07 after tax all.

Completely legitimate without trade ins or coupons.....I got Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (PS2) for ~$1.50 plus tax during CC's $5 sale last year cause I had bought it previously for $39.99. When I got the price adjusted, they matched 110% per their policy.

I got some new pc games for .99 cents at eb a few days ago.

I got a sega dreamcast keyboard for .48 cents at sears on clearance about 2 years ago or so. It sitting in my closet. I have never even opened it.

Free games from Toys R Us and Best Buy with coupons

But for a game that actually cost money, I got Star Wars/Tetris for Xbox for $0.01 at Circuit City last year.

Last December I bought a bunch of 4.99 games at CompUSA. I think I bought 41 games, all different titles, mostly for PS2. 31 or so of them had $10 rebates on them, so when the rebates came it was like they paid me to take the games. I then turned around and used the rebate credit to get a Nintendo DS for free and pay for most of a really nice joystick. Both of which are collecting dust now, but that's a different matter.

I got Starlancer for 1.99 new at EB once too. That was probably the best value I've ever gotten out of a cheap game. Today I got Dragonball Legendary Super Warriors for GBC. No idea if it's any good since I have yet to try it, but it was only 2.99

I paided $1 for Rogue-Ops from MediaPlay. It had a 75% off sticker below a $20 price tag so I figured I could risk $5 to try it. I take it to the cashier and she tells me it's $1. :) I'm gonna trade it in at Gamestop when I go pick up my Makai Kingdom.

Considering K-Mart never had Zelda Collector's Edition. And you could only get it by subscribing to Nintendo Power around Christmas of 03 -- I call bullshit.

It was also free with systems, much like the JSRF/Sega GT combos, and were eventually sold seperate to a lucky few.

Besides free games at assorted times, I've got some packs of 3-5 PC games for $1 or $2. And cheapest single game was probably X2 Wolverine's Revenge (PC) for 39 cents. I can't remember my cheapest console game (other than the free games I've got at Best Buy), though I know it was less than $2.

Psi Ops Mindgate Conspiracy =$4.23 (profit)

From BB with $5 coupon= $0.40. Plus .37cent stamp = $5 PriceGrabber rebate cheque

3 copies of Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance for a total of $.03 at circuit city a year ago. Then trading them to gamestop for a deal they had going and Street Fighter Anniversery Collection for the xbox that came with a T-shirt for a total of $.03

I got Madden 2004 free after the $5 off coupon at BB with a penny guide, but I didn't have any change, so the cashier paid for it out of her own pocket.

The cheapest I've got a game for is probably getting Metroid: Zero Mission from a friend for $3. He was selling all his stuff to get a PSP, and I told him he could probably get more at EB, but he needed cash and he knew I wanted it.

BTW, SneakyPenguin, I love your sig and avatar. FLCL is one of my favorite anime of all time.

For a while I was on Blizzard's media list so I got Diablo 2 expansion, Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne for Free.

I got Buffy for xbox for 9.99 (about 10.81 with tax) and it had a $10 rebate- net was .82

without any rebates I bought Pokeman Silver for $1.99 at blockbuster.

Numerous things for free, such stuff at Best Buy that becomes free after the $5 coupon.

I also once found a copy of Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 for GBC on the side of the road, does that count? :)

Anyway, regarding stuff I actually had to PAY for (ie, not completely free)...it may have been the 70 cent copy of GT2 I got at Toys R Us. I do remember getting some things for less, though, I'm not sure what.
