What one should I get

if you really want the slim that bad, i'd say get it. but if you already have a regular psp, I don't see the point in getting a newer one.

It's true. I've got a pre-order through Play-Asia though. Only eleventy kajillion dollars.

Do the benefits of the new system outweigh the cost of actually buying it?

Until some software comes out that really pushes the extra megahurtz, you could probably hold off buying a new one. Unless you really want a combo of Daxter and Family Guy or desperately need TV output.

I recently received my FF: Crisis Core PSP Slim and as a result I avoid my PSP phat like the plague. The slim revision allows the PSP to truly call itself a handheld portable. The phat is just WAY TOO HEAVY compared to the new slim. Really the slim is better in every single way. I really don't see any benefit to having the older one except maybe nostalgia or if you just like having sore wrists.
that is a good thing for you right now
i am very happy that you have choosed to buy these game
well it sounds fun

I don't have a PSP yet but since the Slim came out and has the ability to be played on your TV that was a huge selling point to me and maybe this Xmas I will get one.. im curious to see what kind of bundles they will have for it this holiday...

My one question reguarding the PSP is that I know that they make official Sony memory sticks for that which seem insanely expensive can you use the non Sony brand ones seeing they are cheaper?

Thanks

Yes you can use the non Sony brand memory sticks. In fact, the SanDisk Pro Duo MS are widely considered to be better than the Sony ones.
