What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!

That may be the problem. My system hard crashed during some skyrim a few weeks ago and did the super long reboot thing.

I thought it was a change to the store though- since they appeared to have done some asthetic changes too - like removing the box around the icons on the storefront.

I don't know if this is something new or not as I haven't used my PS3 much in a while, however did they change the limitations to PSOne games that you buy to only be activatable on 2 PS3's and 2 PSP's?

Also, what the hell is wrong with installing PSOne games? I install it, but the installer button/item/icon/whatever doesn't go away. I don't remember having this issue in the past.

That isn't just limited to PSone games- it is all PSN content after an update in the last half of the year. Also- I think the install button doesn't go away because you can use it to install the games to a linked PSP.

They changed how PSP content can be transferred/installed, so the only way to copy games over is through that install file. That's why it's left over after you install games that are playable on both (Minis and PS1 games).

Gamesharing was changed on Novermber 18 to just two consoles and two portables per account.

Are older accounts with say, 3 consoles, grandfathered in I'm hoping? I haven't paid much attention to PSN in quite some time so I've been unaware of the changes.

By grandfathering in, I'm wondering if it's pre-existing downloaded content is fine but any future stuff is downloaded (whether bought previously or new post-change) if affected. Or since I have 3 consoles linked to a single account, it's not effected. Something along those lines. Trying to see where I stand with the two people I have a shared account with since I've only gameshared with friends.

Mine was showing the bottom at the top for a minute. I closed out and went back in and it looked like it fixed itself.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/01/22/the-drop-week-of-january-23rd-2012-new-releases/

The Drop for this week:
PlayStation Network

Duke Nukem: Forever – Put on your sunglasses and prepare to step into the boots of Duke Nukem, whose legend has reached epic proportions in the years since his last adventure. The alien hordes are back and only Duke can save the world, again. Pig cops, alien shrink rays and enormous alien bosses won’t stop our hero from accomplishing his one and only goal: to save the world, save the babes and to be a bad-ass while doing it.

ScaryGirl (Demo Available) – Based on Nathan Jurevicius’ Scarygirl graphic novel — winner of the 2009 Aurealis Award for Best Illustrated Book/Graphic novel — Scarygirl presents a wondrous adventure into a distinctive and beautifully bizarre world. The main character Scarygirl is an abandoned child with a tentacle arm who dresses like a pirate, and is haunted by a strange man in her dreams. She sets out into the world to discover the meaning behind her bad dreams, but Scarygirl is hardly helpless, as she has a tentacle-powered arsenal up her sleeve.

Mortal Kombat – Driven by an all new graphics engine, the fan favorite series is back and presented in more gory detail than ever before. Mortal Kombat (known as Mortal Kombat 9 by the fans) introduces a number of game-play features including tag team and the deepest story mode of any fighting game. Players can choose from an extensive lineup of the game’s iconic warriors and challenge their friends in traditional 1 vs. 1 matches, or take on several new game modes.
Damn :(

Joystiq and others reported it
Just google it and you'll see plenty of places reporting on a jan24th killzone (Re)release on PSN. I actually put some money in my psn wallet just for the occasion. oh well, guess I won't be spending it on Kz any time soon.

It does make sense that it's not being released today considering the lack of publicity.

The Capcom bundle being advertised in the main PSN Store screen says "This content cannot be accessed from your account." Anyone else getting this, anyone know why?
You bought one of the items in the bundle (and therefore are ineligible to buy the bundle).

Stupid stupid stupid, I know.
So maybe I want to re-buy the same digital games at a discounted rate. I thought Sony wanted my money ;)

I am so sick of seeing two of every snk game in the discounts section. I want to see the new discounts, I don't care about the snk deals I've seen hundreds of times before.

overall plus has been pretty lackluster of late and it sucks to see the same games dropped in for sale or for free. id buy the snk games but they want way too much for them not to mention instead of nickle and diming us why not put the collections up for sale hell id liek to buy the psp collections some of them are hard to find and though they arent pefect id buy them.

man i would like to buy the capcom pack but already own aob and commando 3. $12.50 would still be a deal for the others. capcom must hate money

That Capcom pack does seem like a pretty good deal, even though only two of the games are of particular interest to me.

Anyone else get a message from Sega? I got one in my PSN mailbox about being offered SEGA Rally for $5 with a link to the store to buy it.

That wouldn't be a terrible idea if I could buy it at the PSN+ price on the dummy account.

Despite saying that the inability to buy the Capcom Super Pack if you had previously purchased any of the games, they've now rescinded that and any PS+ member can buy it now if you want it. It'll also show up for those of you that couldn't see it before. I can confirm that it's possible to purchase it now despite already owning one of the games.

Next week is still January, so the PS+ month may not begin until the week after that. I don't see anything on the January schedule for next week. Either way, they don't usually post the schedule until the Monday before the first update of the month.

The Drop for this week:
PlayStation Network

Madden NFL 12 (Full PS3 Game) – Madden NFL 12 continues the rich tradition of the storied franchise by bringing fans closer to the NFL than ever before. Featuring all 32 teams, stadiums, and all your favorite players in the league, Madden NFL 12 is True to the Game. All-new collision system, advanced defensive A.I. enhancements highlight the 2012 edition’s improved feature set, with Custom Playbooks also added provide a more authentic gameplay experience. Franchise mode includes more than 100 new features and enhancements, while Superstar mode now allows fans to control the growth of their superstar with an all-new progression system. Dynamic Player Performance creates unprecedented realism as a player’s skills and confidence will rise and fall based on his performance throughout a game or in Franchise mode, just like the real NFL.

Puddle (Demo Available) – Experience a brilliantly designed physics-based puzzle/platform game where you must guide a puddle of fluid to its target destination, not by moving the fluid, but by tilting the game world. The player must work with friction, momentum, and the unique properties of each type of fluid and environment to send as much of each puddle past fires, rifts, potential spills and more. But watch out: the fluid motion is realistic! Tilt too quickly and you will lose control.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days (Full PS3 Game) – Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is a raw and brutal crime shooter designed to take players on an even more intense story experience, following two of gaming’s most disturbed criminals, through the gritty Shanghai underworld. Introducing a new visual experience, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is inspired by documentary filmmakers and the user-generated era. Every aspect of the game has been designed to deliver a fresh perspective to the words ‘intensity’ and ‘realism’ in videogames.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (Full PS3 Game) – Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is a violent and chaotic journey of two men – a flawed mercenary and a medicated psychopath – and their brutal attitude towards right and wrong. Now, they must partner up as a mess of cash makes for hell on Earth in this co-op action game.

Mini Ninjas (Full PS3 Game) – Prepare yourself for a Ninja adventure like you have never seen before! Use your skills and mighty Ninja training to battle a magical army of evil Samurai. Harness the power of your Kuji magic and utilise the special skills of your Mini Ninja friends as you travel through a perilous world to reach the final confrontation with the Evil Samurai Warlord in his Fortress of Doom.

Syndicate

PlayStation Portable

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact (PSN Download) – Featuring large-scale battles against massive groups of enemies, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact puts players in the middle of epic fights as their favorite Naruto Shippuden characters through electrifying single-player and multiplayer modes. Deliver an action-packed and dynamic fighting experience, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact lets players unleash their honed Jutsu skills through exciting single-player and multiplayer modes. Story Battle lets fans become part of explosive Naruto Shippuden fights straight from the anime with more events and battle sequences than ever before on the PSP.

Aw yeah, can't wait to try out Twisted Metal. Puddle seems kinda boring though. Couldn't they have named it "Ninja Puddle of Doom" or something?

Looking forward to trying the Syndicate demo. If I like it, though, I'll probably buy it for PC, since there is no splitscreen co-op for the console version. Bummer, really, as splitscreen works so well for similar games like Borderlands.
I used to L-O-V-E the original, here's hoping the reboot is at least decent...

Plus in February.
