I've been using boxes I have accumulated over the years - but that source is running scarce (as well as the bubble wrap).

Where do you guys purchase your shipping supplies?

For bubble wrap, I just use the bubble wrap I get from online orders like an order from EBGames.com. Anytime I use a box, I just use the free Priority mail boxes from the post office. If I need a larger box, I try to save boxes from things I order from online. You can also get free boxes from warehouse stores like Costco but many times the boxes are cut into an unuseable form.

Another option is to go to the dollar store. I know my local dollar store sells bubble wrap, not sure about boxes though.

Well, I was working for a large retailer, so I had a surplus of supplies. I just buy my bubble wrap at Walmart now. And I reuse bubble mailers and whatnot that people ship things to me in. Just tape a piece of paper over the front and address it.

I always pay the usps whores to wrap up my shit whenever i use their shity service(rarely) , or i pay the sweet lady at UPS to do it for me , usually 2 bucks more and you don't have to worry about buble wrap ,tape or box , if you are wondering why i shit talk usps is because they have already lost 2 packages and haven't done anything to fix it , UPS has always been flawless !

Shh!! The Postmaster General is listening!!!! He's coming for you!!!!

My local dollar store has packs of 3M bubble mailers for $1 (duh) which includes 5 of them that are big enough for a dvd, game or small book. For larger sizes, Wal-Mart actually isn't too bad, under $1 for the largest size, which I use to send out large textbooks or things like that.

Mailersandmore.com

I get my bubble mailers for $.13-$.17 cents depending on the size I need. A friend also gave me a $3 coupon that for some reason never expires and I am able to re-use every time I order.

I ordered some bubble mailers from esupplystore.com Very happy with them and it was cheap. (You have to get them in lots of 100 though.) #0 is the size that are perfect for a single game/DVD. They are the same brand as the site greendj27 linked. Might be slightly cheaper there depending on their shipping quote - but I'd guess they're basically the same cost +/- a penny or so per (you can also order just 50 there). Actually just saw they do tell you the shipping rate right on the item page. :) So 100 #0s would be $21, esupplystore.com is a couple bucks better than that for me.

Another good place to check is bubblefast.com, but esupplystore was cheaper than them for me.

Boxes are pretty expensive to actually buy new. I just use free ones if I'm shipping Priority, or recycled ones for other mailings. But all of those sites do sell boxes if you want to check them out.

I got a roll of bubble wrap from Staples (I think) it was just a couple bucks more than the cheapest I could find online (accounting for S+H) so I bought it there to get it right away.

lionheart4life - 5 for $1 bubble mailers is an oustanding deal for such a low number. esupplystore is barely better than that when you buy a lot of 100.

Just bought a box of 100 full sheet labels from Staples tonight using a $10 off coupon I got for playing some dumb Apprentice game a month+ ago. I get two mailing labels per sheet.

Yeah I think shipping is like $5 at the site I mentioned, but I think to get the $3 off code, you just need to have someone send you the code from what I remember. Either way, it sounds like its about the same cost as the place you mentioned, so it might not matter. I know mailersandmore accepts paypal too, which is nice. Sometimes shipping does take a little longer than it should though.

I get bubble mailers, bubble wrap, and boxes from wherever I can. I get labels left over from my mom's work whenever she sends them to me.
Nice to know that I'm not the only one who tries to get inexpensive shipping materials that still keep the item safe. :)

Hey guys,
Where can I get labels so i could print postage for paypal.com? It would be easier if i could print postage at home and never go directly to the post office.

I have tons of spare boxes and bubble wrap around. I order a LOT of stuff online. I also have a bunch of bubble mailers and that special packing tape you can just rip instead of needing scissors. Oddly got those at CompUSA of all places. Walked in there one day and they had a ton of packing stuff in a discount box for like $0.10 each roll of tape and bubble mailers. I bought them out.

You can print PayPal labels on normal paper, cut them out, and tape the paper down to your mailer/box. (Tape fully around all four sides.) I asked PayPal about that specifically and they said this is fine.

But now I do use real sticky labels (it's a lot faster) I get full sheet (8x10) sticky labels and cut them in half. The way PayPal labels print, the actual label part spits out first, so if I load the half label in the manual feed it will just print out the label part and I don't waste half a sticky label on the summary bit. (If that makes sense) I'd test this with normal paper to see if that would work for your printer. You don't really need the summary half as you can look that up in your PayPal history.

Anyway I've bought them from Staples (with coupons) so far. But you can get them from all of the supply sites linked so far I'd imagine. I know esupplystore sells them. Staples brand is $23+tax for 100. So that's 200 labels. (Like I said I've used coupons to knock that down by $5-10 per box.) So it does add ~$0.07 to the cost of everything I mail (got a box for $14 with my coupon), but IMO it's well worth it to save a few minutes of pain in the ass taping. Plus it looks a bit more professional.

I'd suggest trying it out with normal paper and see if you like it. A laser printer is best for this, although high quality ink jet printers are supposedly okay.

One tip, highlight around the DC barcode. (I use green highlighter since DC stickers are green.) Don't actually highlight over the barcode though. I had 2 of my first 3 printed labels not scanned properly. Since I started highlighting I've spot checked a few dozen and haven't noticed one that didn't get scanned properly yet *knock on wood*

I buy bubble mailers at the post office, and charge the cost to the customer. (If they want the game, not broken, then they can pay for the expense of shipping it.)

During times of high demand (like christmas), I buy in bulk from shippingsupply.com for about 50 cents per bubble mailer.
