MONROE, Connecticut — A Maine woman who police said sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy she met through an online computer game has been arrested.
Cassandra Grant, 22, of Rockland turned herself in Monday on charges of second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, police said.
She was released after posting $10,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Bridgeport March 21.
According to a press release from Monroe police, the boy and Grant met online a year ago while playing “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” on Sony Playstation 3. The boy was 14 at the time, and Grant was 21.
The two developed a relationship by texting, calling, and using a web camera, the release states. They had a face-to-face meeting in December 2011, police said, adding, “At that point, the two reportedly engaged in sexual intercourse.”
The boy’s parents called police in December when they learned Grant’s true age, police said.
Monroe officers worked with the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit on the investigation, which included forensic analysis of both the Sony Playstation 3 and cell phones, police said.

Well a crime is a crime.

I do remember being in middle school and using my Sega Saturn to look at porn; not thinking twice about the 5 minutes it took to load a single picture. Little did I know that years later online gaming would actually get kids laid.
 
No kid deserves that, even for their first.

I know of great, long lasting relationships that have started over online games before, but obviously the problem here is the age difference.
 
When I first read the story, I was like, why didn't I ever get sexually assaulted by a 21 year old woman when I was 14 and playing video games???... in my cartoon like mind, I imagined her to be hot... then I saw the mug shot... :shock: ...and changed my mind...

In fairness, if a 20 something year old girl came on to me while I was in junior high playing DOOM on DWANGO via dialup... I'd likely do the same thing... irrespective of hotness or fatness ;)

I only understood 1/4 of that sentence and that was enough nerdom to keep me from getting laid back then.
 
Was coming in to say that I'm sure he wasn't sad about being "sexually assaulted", but that mugshot...maybe he really was attacked and should be sad about it.
 
When I first read this story about a kid getting lucky with a chick older than him, I thought :applause:. Then I saw her mug shot. :shock: If I were him I'd have been doing this trying to get away.:whee: Then once I got away, I'd have to do this for even considering that She-Hulk. :puke:
 
In fairness to the boy she probably got him wasted before hand. Also I don't imagine there's many hot chicks playing Cod, BF3 on the other hand.................
 
The 14 year old could be a chubby, buck tooth, acne ridden goofball who stutters. The woman might be a above his level.

he could meet hotter girls of he had a wii or ds.... but atlas Wii have such crappy online program, you probably won't ever see anyone online..

As people mentioned on page one, I remember the limitations of social Internet. Prodigy chatrooms and the early years of wrasslin forums in the late-1990s. In 1994, in Grade 4, I had to setup a local, public Street Fighter 2 tournament at my elementary school for my "online multiplayer." And I didn't even get laid. Not even by a wildebeest like the one in the article—and for that I am grateful. Yikes.

Meh. I was 15 when I was seeing a 19 year old single mom. She was hispanic, I'm white. She was cute, I was willing to bring her to 10 second poundtown.
