WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007 OUT NOW!!!
I am pretty sure this was mentioned somewhere, but whose story starts out before the rumble? I think it was Cena's, unless he started before wrestlemania I can't remember.

I missed out on the royle rumble trophy and the armageddon trophy my first try through.
Batista.
Batista.
I just simmed through everything for about 3 storylines and got nowhere. The first one was a storyline with me (batista) benoit, and undertaker. I simmed everything and made it to the no way out PPV I think it was, and then lost when I simmed the title match against taker. Next storyline was the legends one with bam bam piper and foley simmed through all of that and no PPV at the end. Then some storyline about mark henry, at that point I quit.

I assume somewhere I have to win to trigger the royal rumble story line.

i can't believe you people play this trash game. the last and only great wrestling game to come from WWE and yuks is the 2003 version Smackdown HCTP. the rest suk so bad. hopefully in 2008 the TNA wrestling game will send this craptacular wwe franchise to hell but too many fanboys willing to play through this broken game...

Oh, it's you! I've been searching for you my whole life! What a thrill!

...Er, sorry, I mistook you for a person that mattered. They often come in the form of a hillbilly with a shitty screen name and can't spell, so they're hard to discern from the riff-raff who come in shit up the place...y'know...like you just did.

You could do the world and yourself a favor and kill yourself. Remember, when you're 80 years old and dying in bed, keep telling yourself "God sometimes needs third shift BP employees in heaven, too." And believe it. Even though it's not true, and you'll ultimately die alone and unhappy. Think of how awesome it will be when your grandkids come across your extensive dvd porno collection when they divide out your paltry lifes goods after you die.

*snif* Wet Librarians in Heat 19...man, I miss ol' granpa!

No... I used Batista, simmed through the first storyline, and lost. Then I simmed through the second, and made sure to lose the title match at the end (I think it was the shitty legends one). Once that was done, it let me do the Rumble.

Oh... burn... :hot:

fuck, if I were that guy, I would never come back

I need to start playing this game again

This is the worst and least fun iteration of the series. The second worst would probably be Just Bring It. HCTP and Smackdown 2006 are probably the best in the series.

This one is way too slow. When you knock a character to the floor it takes forever for them to get back up and if you don't get your timing right, the ass kicking you receive on the ground can be indefinite. Damage is also racked up way too quickly and the roster is pretty damn weak.

THQ needs to pick include an option to turn off the weight classes so that Rey Mysterio isn't severely handicapped against someone like The Great Khali. Sure it's unreleastic, but it wouldn't make it any less fun.

The loading times are goddamned rediculous as well. Every little thing you do has a loading screen for it as well. They're much worse than last year in fact.

~ahmed!~

hah finally someone who understand but not 100% fully understanding. HCTP is the only real wrestling game. the rest are trash garbage with upgraded graphics and downgraded gameplay. i am disgusted that people actually spend a significant amount of time and money playing these problem plagued games. as i said before we, as in the people who like to play real wrestling games, must wait for 2008 to try the new TNA game that will hopefully take care of this trash wwe franchise that keeps going downhill. i bet by the 2008 game you will have to rotate the analog sticks just to land a punch and enter a 12 button combination to pin.

ah yes the loading...there are loading screens for the loading screens. it takes 4 hits then you turn orange or red and if you are on the ground you might as well give up...how can anyone see anything good in this game?! it escapes me how anyone can play this other than to just to test it. id slit my wrists b4 i played this trash again.

Sounds like mine, but the next story line had something about mark henry in the title. I guess I'll try again.

So if I force you to play this game, you'll kill yourself? Sweet deal.

I agree this game isn't all its cracked up to be (see my posts above, for one thing), but you sound like someone who got their ass beat by the computer and is too inept to figure out what to do next. You can't even get up? Wow, you suck.

When I first got the game, I had the same reaction, but after playing it and, you know, getting good at it, the game is really alot of fun.

Online is a blast.
lol the computers dont even have a damn peanut size brain on hardest difficulty. i dont see how i would lose.
Then shut the fuck up and stop playing it, dumbass.

The royal rumble story came after the mark henry story line so I now have all the PPV trophies. Just need to get enough cash to buy all the legends, I have 4 left to buy. Still haven't tried season mode yet, it's a good concept, but I didn't really enjoy it in SVR 2k6 so I am hesitant to try this one. I think I will try to complete the challenge mode. Just play a few matches a night until I eventually beat them all.

Dude, how do you NOT have enough cash? I had plenty of cash after doing one full season plus tons left over =/

Duh, that's why, you haven't done the season mode... you have to do it to get all the legends, did you just sim your way through it or something?

oh I said season mode, I meant GM mode.

And I did sim through maybe 25% of season mode. If a match just didn't seem to have importance I just simmed it, and using ranchero I lost a majority of the time I simmed.

Well, if you do the RR storyline, next will come the JBL storyline. Play through it and choose to face him at the PPV, and you'll get $100k for winning as part of the storyline stipulations.

GM Mode is alot of fun, it's just alot of work too.

There is still ALOT more they can add to it to make it lot more fun.

Really!? 100K!?

*turns on 360*

Is "Mexicools or Mexifools" even possible?

I can take on either taker or kane by myself but the other guy gets his ass kicked, he'll be in red before I know it. Then I have kane and undertaker to handle by myself, impossible.

Read back a few pages, I gave a solution to all the challenges that I'm too lazy to type back up.

aight, so just turn on DQ, gotcha.

That's a decent CAW of Hall for the PS2 version of SvR07 from caws.ws

I wonder, though, and this may be a silly/basic question to some, if the formulas for CAW in PS2 are identical to those for 360? If I folow the instructions for that Hall (made on PS2) on 360, will the results be identical?
aight, so just turn on DQ, gotcha.
Yep, go outside of the ring, Undertaker will follow, beat the shit out of him with a chair until he turns red, when Psycosis has Kane in a hold, or vice versa, pin Undertaker.

tried 3 or 4 times last night but still couldn't get it. Even thoough it is a chair smashing into kanes skull it still takes alot of swings because of who is swinging it. I go through almost 3 weapons before I can turn him yellow while he can just slam me once and I'll turn yellow. And I couldn't seem to stop my parter from getting pinned and it turns into a 2 on 1 and I am screwed.

Thats a pretty decent Hall. But I haven't messed around with the CAW that much. Just my initial guy that I did the first day I got the game. I would assume though that the CAW templates would be pretty identical on both consoles.

I read that some come out more or less the same and others come out distorted. Id really like that Hall though

*edit* - Had a question, but figured it out.

Every time I play this game, it hurts more that they didn't include custom entrance themes. Really, really lame. There has been a step back in general on that in XBox 360 games, I don't understand why.

OK heres my problem. I beat season mode with a CAW on normal/easy awhile back. Now trying to get the achievements for Hard and Legend. I picked Batista for a shorter storyline, and simmed most of it. Got to WM, played the match, won the title, but no achievement, credits or nothing. Just another week, where I was traded to Raw.

I think you have to go through another full year and win at Wrestlemania again.

Ditto.

I am just going through with my CAW and simming everything until I get to the final match.

woohoo, just got this game! I'll definitely be up for some CAG matches online. I'm definitely aware that the game has flaws, but I got a $100 gift card for PC Richard from work, so I told myself I'd pick up SvR if I could actually find a copy over there.

One thing I do really like is how they brought back the instant-grapple moves. For years I've been hoping they would make a system where you could do both instant moves and grapple holds. DoR did something like that so I was hoping something similar would show up in the Smackdown series.

can someone answer something for me...

do you earn achievements for beating story mode when you skip matches?

ive beaten it before but i dont remember?

jsut when through with hbk on hard and reached the point where i got traded to smackdown... is the season still not over yet or do you still get the achievement later

Alright, I just had a match ending that confused the hell out of me.

I am playing through season mode as Cena, and I am currently the heavyweight champ after retaining it against Edge at the last PPV (3rd PPV into Cena's first play through). I get challanged to a ladder match by Masters and Trish. So I get to the match and win, after slamming Masters to the outside with a move off of the ladder and get the belt. Now here's what is confusing me, I get an animation as if both of us got knocked out and Trish gets the belt and hands it to Masters, even though I had fairly won the match. What the fucks up with that?

I am, I was just really thrown off by it. Mixed tag match coming up soon.

WTF
Trish winning the title at Summer Slam
I dont know if that one, or you becoming a chick is the better storyline
Who do you play as to get that storyline? (The one were you become a chick)

I played as Angle to get the storyline. It isn't as bad as it seems.

Question: what is that "multiplayer" option all about that you get before a match in season mode? You get three options I think... something like Play, Skip, and then Multiplayer. Does this let human players fill out the remaining spots of the match? And will using this option interfere with unlocking things or getting achievements?

OMG... I was just doing HBK vs. JBL. I threw JBL to the outside and did a moonsault off the top... he CAUGHT ME IN MIDAIR and then powerslammed me to the floor! I'm fairly certain this is the first Smackdown game to let you counter aerial moves while standing. I hear you can also counter some moves into Ultimate Control chokeslams and powerbombs... I can't wait to see that!

ya, if you ever find yourself in a tough match just switch it to multiplayer and whip the shit out of the guy just standing there. It doesn't affect the achievements or anything either.

Isn't it about time they release some new content for this game or are they not going to take advantage of the Marketplace and just leave it for the 2008 version?

I mean some new wrestlers and some legends would be nice or hell even some different attire for each wrestler or something.
