WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007 OUT NOW!!!
Isn't it about time they release some new content for this game or are they not going to take advantage of the Marketplace and just leave it for the 2008 version?

I mean some new wrestlers and some legends would be nice or hell even some different attire for each wrestler or something.
I have a feeling they're not gonna put anything out, since they were dumbasses and made the same game for PS2 and 360.

Seriously, they choose NOW to put the same game on three different systems. It makes sense to do that for PS2-GC-XBOX. It does not make sense to do it for 360-PS2-PSP.
Man, I'm liking this Amazon Deal of the Day that's goin on for the gaming section. Several XBox 360 games have gone on sale for 50% off in the last few days. Looks like for today it's WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007:
Thanks OP, placed an order. Was deciding between this and Rumble Roses.

Click here and you'll see in the product description a link towards the rebate. Just request the form there, submit a review and you get a $5 rebate.
I just picked this up today and I had a few questions about the game before it arrives. I plan on making most of the "attitude era" superstars, since that is when I really watched WWF, so I was wondering if it is possible to import theme songs. I have heard different stories so I am wondering what the deal is.

Also, what factions are in the game?

Also, what factions are in the game?
Unfortunately you cannot truly "import" music to use as a theme song. You ARE able to hit the guide button and play your own music, like you can with any other game, but this just overrides all the music in the game (including theme music). So technically, you could hit the guide button right before your entrance and manually cue up your music, every time your guy makes his entrance... but that's as close as you're gonna get unfortunately.

I'm not sure about Stables, I'd have to check up on that. All I know for sure is that HBK and HHH will use the dX entrance if you make them a tag team in an exhibition match. That works without even unlocking anything... however I think you need to "buy" it in order to have it as a selectable entrance.

Nah, you can't use custom themes, sadly. And as for factions, there's DX, and several random tag teams, like the Mexicools, but that's it.

Say, is anyone up for a game? I haven't played any CAG people except for Scorch, Xecutioner, and that Batman guy whose user name I forgot.

:bomb:

Is there anyway to import CAW's from the internet? I am basically recreating the roster from No Mercy and I feel like it is going to take forever to do manually. Are there any site you can d.l the CAW's and a way to upload them to the 360?

Finally got 1000/1000, thanks OP for the help this weekend :p

I bought this game for offline multiplayer but none of my friends are really wrestling fans anymore lol. Thankfully getting the achievements helped me enjoy this game, i especially like the GM mode.

I was ahead by quite abit but forgot to resign my #1 star and they took him the next day! I was low on money and low on ideas but a Triple H/Edge rivalry helped keep ratings up and i stole wrestlemania by a bunch :D

This gets me exitced for the next Smackdown, here is a list of things i need:
Less Loading
Custom Soundtracks
Scott Hall!!!(i read on wiki that he just recently signed on to the WWE Legend thingy)

Also the online was pretty laggy but that could be partly due to needing a strong connection(mine is kinda weak :()

I just got this game yesterday via Amazon deal of the day, and it was definently worth $30. I am an average wrestling fan, and this game is very good. I am willing to play anyone on Live once I get a little more experience, but that shouldn't be long. Also, with CAW, can I somehow use the Experience I am getting from my Season with Mick Foley and boost my CAWs, or do I have to wrestle with them myself? Thanks for anyone's help!

You either have to use your CAWs in Season Mode, or play the GM mode and win GM of the Year to unlocked unlimited CAW EXP points.

The GM of the Year option is probably your best bet if you have quite a few CAWs you want to give EXP to.

OK, thanks. I will just go for the GM of the Year, as it unlocks an achievement, and it is unlimited.

On another note, has anyone made a CAG Championship belt, and actually defended it on Live?

Which unfortunately would render a CAG belt pointless since you could only defend against randomly chosen opponents. I could be wrong though... I sure hope I am! I wouldn't even want a belt from some random dude... I figure the whole point of that feature is to make a belt that you and your friends could fight for.

Just got the game today. I haven't followed wrestling for a while, but what wrestlers have the most interesting movesets? I started a season with Cena and all his quick grapples are the same and it's quite boring (unless every character is supposed to have the same quick grapple moves regardless of R-stick movement).

I don't like the short Mexican dude in the mask (not even sure if he's in the game--just throwing out my preferences) and RVD. The only one I can think of is Shawn Michaels. Any other interesting, non-thugs, I can try out? Thanks.

I used Mick Foley for Season mode, mainly because I like him. He also has good head grapples for the opponent on the mat, which can be very useful, Bang-Bang!

As for the Royal Rumble, I use the Great Khali, then just irish whip them. Sometimes he gets them on the apron then easily hits them to get them out. Also, keep a finishing move banked, so they you can use it to get back in easily if you are in danger of being knocked out.
Is there any easy way to throw opponents out of the ring in the Royal Rumble? Thanks for the help.
If you store a finisher, you can use certain Ultimate Control Moves for an easy elimination.

For example, with the Undertaker... store a finisher, then hold RB and tap Up on the Right Analog to grapple the opponent. Then click in the Right Analog to pick up the opponent for a chokeslam. Then walk over to the ropes and do the chokslam and you'll throw the opponent over the top rope all the way down to the floor! Without a stored finisher, the opponent would just land in the ring.

That can be done with any UCM that normally throws the opponent out of the ring in a singles match... chokeslam, fallaway slam, crucifix powerbomb... possibly others; I forget.

Is the storyline branching depending on how you do in any of the events (PPV in particular)? Or is it the same regardless?

Also, is there an easier way to gain money in this game? I had around $35,000 and ended up spending most of it on a customized CAG belt. Damn. I wanted to buy legends that I had unlocked first.

Lastly, where can I find some good CAWs for this game?
Can anyone help me out with the online achievements?
I am looking for someone to do online achievements in this game too and I would love to help out. Send me a FR and we can do it over the weekend if you are available. Sent you a PM too! LMK

caws.ws is a great place to find some (Along with movesets, entrances, and attributes).

Just got the game a few days ago, and I definitly like the new grapple system and total control moves. Not to mention the CAWs look great this time. I also enjoy the roster this year (Except there's no Rene Dupree. Can anyone find a :360: CAW of him?)

However, I think that certain aspects of GM mode are annoying this year:
-When picking a wrestler for a match, you have to actually pick them to see if they've been used or not that night. Not a big deal, but it can be a little annoying.
-Not being able to see what rivalries/feuds/storylines are about except for when you're hiring writers.
-Making it so only clean-dirty feuds are allowed (No dirty-dirty, clean-clean feuds)

A friend of mine just got this, and were having some problems connecting.

When I send an invite, it says his family settings will not let him connect, even though everything appears unblocked on the dash.

When he send an invite, we can connect, but he doesn't have the option to enable CAW's even though his CAW is not listed as a Not Online (with too many layers, etc)

Any ideas?

Has anyone ever been able to play on Xbox Live with guests. It seems as though it should work since it is not split-screen and you normally can have 3 people on the same system... why not throw in a buddy over Live. Any help would be appreciated. (It took a while to notice the guest sign in for Gears of War on Live.)

I just did an update and now the game doesn't detect my hard drive! It acts like it's loading, says loading game.. then says choose a storage device. I choose the HD, and it immediately says that the HD was removed.

What the fuck

I even deleted my old save and tried it with a new one and it won't work at all!

so i just got this game for ten bucks from the game crazy sale and 1st impressions arent so good. ive never played a wrestling game outside a nintendo system. the last being wrestlemania 19 on gamecube which came out in 2003 i think. they all followed the same button layout since WCW World Tour for the N64. simple layout and loads of fun. now its all complicated and i spend 3/4 of the match laying on the floor. not very fun at all. is there a trick to making your submissions last longer than a couple seconds? i weaken the crap out of them and tap buttons but nothing works. im rarely able to pull off any reversals either. they shouldve just stuck with the "strong/weak, grapple/strike" system. anyone have any advice on how i could enjoy this game better? the whole "not being able to get up" is what bothers me the most.
