  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Pinball Arcade is up! Its free but you gotta buy the tables. You can try out demo versions of the tables though.

Tales from Borderlands ep.1 is up for $4.99 on X1

Wow you only get to play the game 6 hours with EA Access? That's an even worse service than I thought. PLus even more rep for Sony for turning down this paid demo "service." Very little value is right. Essentially it's a backdoor way of tricking gamers into getting used to the idea of having to pay for demos.

Jesus MS and EA had some dirty stuff up their sleeve for this gen.

That's for the new release stuff that you haven't bought and aren't included in the service... :oldman:

If you're paying the sub to get the demos well, then I suppose you deserve that.

Wrong forums bro. I think the troll forums are elsewhere.

Well, originally it sounded like they were trying some new sub thing "Pay monthly and you get the games early." Then it turns out you lose the games on release date. "Oh I guess I get to play them for 5 days then, kinda stupid." Now it's 6 hours? How does 5 days turn into 6 hours? 6 hours within those 5 days? That's pathetic. You can say "It's worth it for the vault," but the early access (ie paid demo) is what they were trumpetting.

So is the Titanfall (Bundle) the game and the season pass? Has anybody confirmed that yet?

Nevermind just noticed the original $75 price.

How is that a troll? It's a response to something in this thread three pages back. It's an opinion.
You seem lost. EA Access is more then that, pretty sure you get to play as much of whatever you want from the vault. New and prerelease games have restrictions. Just my take on it, correct me if I'm wrong...

Making crazy assumptions without knowing what you're talking about is very troll like. Takes a couple minutes to check EA Access website to see what it includes. If you really don't know what EA Access offers, I'll try to explain.
$5 for 1 month, $30 for 12 months.

10% all off all EA purchases. This includes games, dlc, in-game currency, etc.

6 hours of all new releases before they come out. Not demos either, full games. 100% of all content in the game I available. More like a rental except you can quit the game whenever and save remaining hours for another day.

Finally you get the vault (unless I'm forgetting about something else). The vault currently contains Battlefield 4, PvZ Garden Warfare, Madden 25, FIFA 14, NFS Rivals, and Peggle 2. More games being added and games will never be removed.

By the way, EA brought the service to Sony, but Sony rejected them saying it would be a bad deal for players. They must be part of a conspiracy with Shrek.

So when is NBA Live 15 supposed to be on sale? Should it have already happened or is it a Black Friday deal?

If you arent trolling it may actually be worse. 6 hours of game time is worth your 5 dollars alone (or $2.50 if you paid for a year up front) and thats not even considering the fact that you get all the games from the vault as well and 10% off all EA dlc purchases. I cant really imagine how anyone could have anything negative to say about EA access other than their hard drive is filling up too quickly

This is inaccurate. It's the full game with achievements. Source: My Madden 15 and DA:I achievements. And to me, six hours seems like plenty. You can easily determine if you're interested enough to buy a game in that time. Or, you might even get all you need out of it. I'd say it's much more than just a demo.

For sure, EA Access is less appealing if you have no interest in sports games, since they make up the majority of the Vault. But I still think it would be worth it, even without taking those into consideration. PvZ, Peggle, NFS, BF4. For $30/year, between the Vault and the early access, I think it's a solid value.
Really? I've seen a lot of people complaining about them getting rid of the achievements from the trials after Madden. Either way, the rest is true for me. Paying for demos is a terrible thing that I wish I wasn't paying/supporting.

I'm a huge sports gamer, but not so much that I'd want to pay a monthly or yearly fee to be able to play a mediocre game like Madden NFL 25 for the rest of time.

I am not confused about what it is.

I do not consider 6 hours worth $5/month. I thought this was CAG. I expect 20+ hours for $5.

And yes I know Sony rejected that. I applaud them for rejecting this backdoor paid demo.

I'm not getting into a fanboy war. I can buy XBL stuff and at the same time critique MS as a company.

You sound very confused or are a troll. You are completely (purposely?) ignoring the other stuff that you get with EA Access (10% discount and vault games that you can play for 730 hours a month).

Plus it is 6 hours per early release game. full game, not demo. NHL, FIFA, Dragon Age, and Madden all have trials so far (I might be missing some). You would get at least 24 hours of gameplay for $5 from just the early access games alone.

If $5 for 730 hours is a bad deal, then I'd love to know where you are getting better deal.

That Titanfall deal on Xbox one looks solid! $19 for game and dlc.

Are you defining a straw man argument?

I'm confused by reading your last 5 posts where you bash on EA access with incorrect information.

I think you are confused. Six hours is ONLY for the new game trials. You can play games in the Vault for as long as you want. Just PvZ is almost worth the $30 a year asking price then you've got Battlefield 4, Need for Speed Rivals, Madden 25....etc. that you can play as much as you want. And, the Vault will add new games while the old games will never be removed,

Especially at the yearly price, it's an awesome deal IMO.

Is it just me or are other people forgoing deals on digital games because they might get it free with games for gold?
Unfortunately, the trend of several retail games going on sale and then becoming free a few weeks later is something that will hinder people from spending even a few dollars on games that could easily be a future games with gold title. Even at a few dollars, that's money that could be spent on something like DLC, which does not seem to go free even when a game is free with gold (though it could be on sale).

They took out achievements in a few of them, but Dragon Age brought them back. Not sure if the couple that did not have achievements brought them back (think they were only FIFA 15 and NBA 15).

Since you clearly insist on not understanding what the people around here are saying, here's the official FAQ regarding EA Access. The trials (NOT DEMOS) are for new games that are being released, whereby you are being allowed to play the game for a set period of time. The Vault, as the name suggests, contains games that have already been added (and is being added) that you have access to as long as your subscription stays.

For example, for $30, you are getting access to Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, PvZ, Need For Speed. If you wanted to play more than 2 of those games, or in some cases just one, you'd be paying over $30.

So, please stop trolling now, you're just embarrassing yourself.

Was Pinball Arcade supposed to cost something?

Also, Peggle 2 ($4.80) and NBA Live 15 ($33) are showing on the dashboard under DwG.

You don't get any tables with it, as it's a platform like Pinball FX2 since there are three seasons' worth of tables there.

Do they not list DLC for XB1 games on Xbox.com anymore like they do for Xbox 360 games? I'd have to load up Pinball Arcade to see what they're asking for these seasons?

$29.99 for each season. Tables dont show up on the store, only when u boot up the game. You can dl the trials first

Wish there were two threads, one for 360 deal talk and one for One deal talk. Gets confusing at times in here.

If I ever get to own the One paying for EA Access would be, for me, a waste of money. Sports games, no thanks. Need for Speed, no thanks. Battlefield, no thanks. PvZ...again, no thanks. The 10% off dlc isn't even appealing since I only buy dlc on sale anyway, and only buy full games that are extremely discounted. Access would just be throwing money away.

Yeah, I guess if you are into pinball.

I'm just not a fan of the "free base, pay for the rest of the game/achievements" model.
Pinball Arcade had a physical release on PS4, which I'm fairly certain only included Season One. I would buy an Xbox One physical release if such a thing existed. And, the reason that it's a platform is that they have been continually pursuing the rights to licensed tables like the Addams Family and Terminator so they can add them later on. I'm into pinball, but so far, I've only purchased the first season on other platforms like PS3, Vita and Android.

Yeah, I wouldn't pay a one-time $5 fee for PERMANENT access to ANY of those games, with the possible exception of PvZ, only because my daughter likes it.

And I really just don't get paying to access a game for 6 hours. I guess for some rabid people that have to play the latest thing, that could be appealing, but I really thought most here were like me and had no problem waiting 2-3 years for a game to own it for $5. It's CheapAssGamer, after all.

So now you just don't like the games EA publishes. Big surprise.

I just have no interest in any of the games in the ea vault. Even if I did though I'd rather save up and own the game instead of renting it with a subscription. Early access and previews again for me wouldn't be worth paying for. I can see it has value for guys who love sports games or are ea fans, just not something I'd get any value out of.

Oh okay :) yeah I don't play enough sports games to make it worth the price but I like the concept and that they are toying with new ideas like this.
