If I buy the physical copy of Gears Ultimate Edition, will I still receive the other 360 Gears games for free?  Or do I need to buy the digital version to be eligible for the promotion?

You just have to play the game, from physical media or from a digital download.

 
I didn't see it mentioned in discussion, although it's in the OP, but NCAA 14 is now $19.99 on XBL Marketplace.

Also, I can't see them dropping the blu-ray drive in the Xbox One.  No way.

 
This isn't really a deal but looks like skittles is offering a 1 in 5 chance to win a xbox gift card (amount not disclosed).  I was on my xbox one and noticed a section called 'Summer Spotlight', within there was a skittles promotion for 'Unlock The Flavors - For your chance to win an xbox gift card'.  Not sure if this has already been posted but thought I would share in case.  It looks like the promo ends on 9/7/15 so there is still plenty of time to try to win something, it also only takes a few seconds.  I'm sure the skittle you pick is random and not a preset winner per day, but just in case I picked the green skittle color and didn't win today.

I'd say Steel Battalian but no way they could get that to work on the One. This is not including games that were on the OG XBox that ran better then their PS2 or Gamecube counterparts or games that can work online via XKai or other programs and still be played online today.

Having OG XBox games run on the X1 would be great. Keeps the old library going for years and allowing us to preserve older games for years to come. Funny enough I saw Sudeki was added to steam not too long ago but heard it was pretty meh.

Possibly and all-digital Xbox One? they could reduce the form-factor quite a bit without the Blu-ray drive in it.

Not to go PC Master Race on you, but did you ever play the PC version? There was a survival type of mode and easy integration for user mods. So much additional wonderfulness.

Personally, I think BC for OG Xbox would be great. I have one OG with a bad drive I keep meaning to replace and another that is still fully functional, but it's only a matter of time. What about adding digital crack, er, achievements to them? Hopefully, we are talking new conversions, but I wonder if what is being referred to is just making BC the stack of games that were made BC for the 360. Many of those BC games had issues, some severe and that would leave out many great games. Also, what would be done about DLC and servers for online play? I guess they weren't around for the last bit on the 360, but it would be nice to race Rallisport Challenge 2 against friends online.

 
I dont care about the achievements, I'd like to get a chance to some of those og xbox games that I keep hearing about. My first foray into games and consoles was towards the end of the x360 life cycle. I missed quite a few generations of gaming. *sad face
 
Bridge Constructor is okay, but funnily enough I had to review the PC version over 3 years ago when it first came out, and now I got the same to do for the Xbox One version. SlopeMania levels aside, which were introduced 2 years ago or so, the game is the same. Same graphics, same content, same menus, same glitches, same stupid physics behaviour. It's a fun and challenging game, but 10$? It has nothing compared to the 2$ mobile version besides worse controls.

Yeah, I'm surprising myself by the amount of restraint I'm showing. I haven't bought any new games in several weeks. Maybe I'm just getting old. I'm definitely getting whispering willows next week though. Probably 2 or 3 more.

I want the mega man collection but I can't even count how many times I've beaten Mega man 1-4. At this point I'd rather wait for a sale on it and buy games I've never played before. Pip and Zombi I'll wait for sales on as well.

Well I wasn't too hesitant on some of the other new games. Just snagged Bridge Constructor, Giana Sisters Dreamracers, Clash, and Baseball. I'd like to get Poker but if it's having issues I'll pass. Looking forward to Octodad next week and I'll probably get Frozen too.

Only have 3 golden crisp codes to use and 2 of them have two or more 0/D/Os. Lol. I may tackle them later. Too many failed attempts tonight.

I did the first several levels last night - I think the physics in the game are hilarious. You get one thing wrong and shit goes flying across the screen. Trucks flip and plummet into the water.

 
I'd be willing to settle for them making the OG Xbox games that were downloadable on 360 available on Xbox One, because I want to play Psychonauts again. And have a copy of it on anything I can.

Microsoft has plenty of resources. This is like the old World of Warcraft arguments: "Why are you adding ____ when Hunters are so broken?!?!?". It is bogus to say that, even if the people they have working on it were pulled off it doesn't mean the UI comes out faster or they are even qualified to add the features you mention. It takes a completely different skill set to write emulation than it does to write media features, etc.

It is clearly not a priority, but the ability to play more games is always a plus. Most people probably still have a few old favorites, why not add the feature? The only people that could possibly not like this are hardcore Sony fanboys watching their system fall further behind in the feature race.

 
Hopefully, if they do make  original Xbox Backwards compatible, we can purchase them from a store of sorts. That's the only way i  can get JSRF without buying an highly expensive disc version

It's hilarious indeed, I've made multiple funny clips. The problem is I wrote about these glitches some 40 months ago or so, when the first version of the game came out on PC. Multiple patches, DLCs and ports later, NONE of the issues have been fixed. Funny? Sure. But I would have expected a LITTLE care when making a port. It's 5 times more expensive than the mobile version and has 0 extra content, nor bug fixing or anything. Just the screen is bigger.

 
Is this for a black label/unopened copy of JSRF? I snagged a CIB combo version for $12 the other week from a local gaming place and I see it's running for $10 on ebay CIB without shipping added.

Oh, Xbox Originals would become a thing in the Xbox Store, I'm sure.

Really, there's not a ton of discs around to make the expenditure in Research & Development costs worthwhile anyway, in my opinion. And certainly Microsoft would want to make their 40% from selling the games in their Store. (20% console-holder license fee, 20% retail store fee)

 
I don't see BC for the original Xbox happening. If they did make it happen and Voodoo Vince still doesn't get supported, they should just stop right now because it's a waste of time otherwise.

I've seen it, but it doesn't really guarantee anything. He just likes to not dash people's hopes. I'd maybe be more inclined to believe it if he gave the idea a thumbs up and a poke on Facebook. Those are signs of serious intent on the internet.
