Awesome! A game I wasn't dying to have but wouldn't have minded playing. And EA Access comes in handy yet again.

Unless it's something I really, really have to have day one, I can see myself never buying another EA game again. Probably not what they want to hear, but waiting for Access suits me just fine 95% of the time.

And if it stays $30 a year, it's still the best bargain in subscription gaming IMO.

I feel the same. I think the idea is great but it doesn't seem executed very well. The matches go super quick at least in my experience and there doesn't seem to be much of a challenge to it.

using the in-game menu on the xbox one, click purchase (even if it shows a price). the confirmation screen should say free. i had the same problem with the classic pack i just bought. if i remember correctly, i had to do this way back when i went on a buying spree during the last pinball fx sale.

I give up on Screamride, not for me. Maybe if it ever hits $7.50 or lower digitally or disc then I'll give it another shot. I'll just take the $19.xx at BB for it right now.

Isolation is great up until Chapter 8 or 9. When you first run into the Alien, its incredible. He looks majestic and terrifying. You really feel like you're in real danger every moment.

After you hid in your 18482th vent and backtracked to your 581843th door, though, you just get sick of seeing the fucker. I feel like it should have been a handful of levels shorter. It would have worked perfectly as an XBL/PSN "indie" type game, like Far Cry: Blood Dragon; short, but long and entertaining enough to make you feel like you got your money's worth. They took a great 6 or 7 hour concept and stretched it out over 25-30. I just wanted it to be over around Chapter 10 or 11.

I'd still recommend playing it though. Its the best Alien game ever made, despite my gripes.

The worst part of alien Isolation is also the best, the alien. A huge problem with horror games is that they feel way too scripted. Outlast for example is really scary when you run into a new enemy, but after dying a few times you learn their pattern and it becomes not scary. Isolation fixes this problem by making the alien's movements seemingly random (unless somebody has found a pattern by now). This keeps the game scary every time you die. For example I was stuck at a part for an hour, but the entire hour was fun because I was finding alternate routes and the alien never did the same thing twice. The problem was that I wasn't really making much progress during that time. In most games even if you die for an hour, at least you're learning something that makes the next attempt easier. The most I learned was that hiding in the vent crying please don't come in here with my eyes closed does not keep the alien away.

I could be thinking of another game, but I think you can turn on an option where the alien hears you talking through Kinect. This would be great if the game had co-op, but it does not.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory had that in the coop. Talking through the mic to your partner could alert the enemy.

I was playing L4D the other night and thinking that would be a cool addition if they make L4D3.

I know there's no real value to saying this, but I feel so weird that there's so much hype for this game, yet everything I've seen for it has in not impressed me. I have no preorder for it, no interest in checking boards for it, and I click on the videos in threads expecting to be wowed because of reactions people post, but none of this looks like anything that strikes me.

I know it's about opinions, but I guess Halo 4 really ruined the Campaign aspect of the games for me, possibly the franchise as well.

Just a note, South Park Pinball was on sale on XB1 only back in March.  I bought it then, and since the 360 version of it doesn't provide any achievements and the cross buy only applies when buying the 360 version, I'm going to pass on that one.  If you're thinking of picking it up because of the cross buy, be sure to check that you didn't already buy the XB1 release.

i realized the same thing last night. already bought south park in march but forgot it was on x1 and not 360. this caused me to double check all my tables on both consoles to make sure i was double-dipping by accident.

I did it about 6 months ago, maybe 7?

The 20 free songs from RB2 manual code and the export of Lego Rock Band songs I believe are the only things discontinued (or were 6-7 months ago).
