Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

did someone mention Trader Joe's. Store is a staple on my grocery shopping list.

Not only Nuggets, their Sirracha Potato Chips, Smoked Salmon spread, and Cookie Icecream bites are a must have in every home  :hot:

Alan wake is like $2.18 on cdkeys website for 360 right now if anyone wants that game and doesn't have it.

As for chicken, I have a peanut allergy so chic-fil-a makes me nervous, also, do they even have Chicken nuggets? I thought they were more of a chicken strips place. Wendys and Costco Panko breaded nuggets are my favorites. If your bringing strips into the mix then Raisin Canes and Buffalo Wild Wings have good strips.

Yes, strips are legal to discuss. And the nuggets at CFA are wwwwway better than the strips at CFA.

Agreed on that. I don't understand why they screwed with the breading or whatever on the strips.

And to add my two cents, nuggets, I'd say CFA. For strips, Zaxby's all the way.

Oh hey look Lebron is back in the Finals. THIS IS SHOCKING.
Now we are talking sports...

I can hate the politics and still love the chicken. Plenty of shitty people in this world we still participate in commerce.
I hate the politics and vote with my wallet, so they can get the money from people that don't care about the politics.

Sounds like more nuggets for the rest of us!
You can have my share. Plenty of other places to have chicken without homophobic drama.

Is it just me or does anyone else have planetary landings on Elite Dangerous? I haven't bought Horizons and as far as I was concerned it wasn't releasing until next week, but I am able to land on planets and have shiny new graphics and a new mission system in my game.
Elite Dangerous had the huge 1.6 update a few days ago, but planetary landings require Horizons next week. I think you can only do the approach in 1.6 but you can't land. The missions/graphics are all part of the 1.6 update though.

Any of you gangstas pick up Rocket League or Zombie Army Trilogy this week?
I got all the Cheevos in Rocket League a while back so now I don't know what to shoot for anymore. I tried the basketball mode and was not overly impressed, I like the hockey better I think.

I guess we can always say "top 5 nuggets/strips to eat while you're gaming" and make it fit for gaming discussion.  Right?  Or we can talk about Burger King because they made video games? (and delicious flame-broiled hamburgers)

Jesus dude, we're talking about nuggets here. And as long as chicken strips are on the table, I'm throwing in a vote for Cheddar's. For straight up nugs, Chic-Fil-A all the way.

My two year old loves chic fil a. I'll be at the pharmacy drive thru at Walgreens and she'll ask for nuggets.

I didn't see anyone mention it, but if you're concerned about the peanut oil, CFA makes grilled nuggets (no breading). Not sure if it's worth risking the allergens from being in the same kitchen, if that's a concern.

I guess that makes sense. To be honest I hadn't actually landed on a planet yet just got very close and realized I had no idea what I was doing so aborted mission before I ruined all my progress. That's quite a shame that I'd have to spend another 30 bucks just to land now.

Just think of it like a season pass....you can still play the base game just fine, but buying Horizons will get you all the content they add in 2016, not just the planetary landings.

I really want Doom. Is it as good as the reviews make it out to be? I don't care at all about the MP. My favorite fps from last gen was was Bulletstorm (I don't really count the Bioshocks as fps). Doom seems to be a lot like it.

To be honest I won't be using those features at all. Multi crew is one of those things that sounds cool in concept but with the way ED is set up and how it's so realistic I doubt it would be very fun. What other roles would other players do? Commander creation won't affect you 90% of the time since it's first person view. Only thing that might be cool is having a ship launched fighter but that would just be something like an Eagle right? If you have a giant ship able to carry one wouldn't that be more powerful to fight with?

It is wonderful. If you liked the old Doom games you'll enjoy this one. It isn't as over-the-top as Bulletstorm (like the types of kills you can get) but there are what is called "Gore Kills". Basically when you stun a demon, he will glow blue/orange. If you press melee near a demon when this happens you'll do the gore kill (ex: rip his arm off and hit him with it, smash his face, twist his neck, etc.). It does get repetitive but it is necessary to live as you'll get a little bit of health out of it so it is necessary on higher difficulties. I would certainly recommend it. I haven't even touched the MP and I'm having a blast. As a CAG, i would wait for at least $40 if you're not going to touch MP but if you have nothing else to play I say pick it up.

Also, there's lot of secret areas which contain not just collectibles but praetor tokens (used to upgrade your suit's abilities) or red orbs where you can upgrade your health, armor and ammo.

Thanks man. I think I'll take your advice and wait for even a minimal sale, since I DO have plenty to play. Backlog for life. But yeah, I will get it for sure.

I mirror that Doom is outstanding. Super fun single player but with how many games we all have at least a small sale will make you feel better about only probably ever playing the single player hah

I guessed it would be like Wolfenstein and get great reviews and take a couple months to get a sale digitally, and when I heard the campaign was an easy 12+ hrs and I saw the level designs... My brother wanted it and paypal'd me $30 and I don't pay full price for xbl credit, so it was a no brainer for me. If you can get 15% off, I'd say it's worth $50 if you have time and interest to play now.

The SnapMap map builder is still full of a lot of really bad maps, and I don't know if it has the capabilities to re-create full campaign levels. I had fun playing around and I've only tried a handful, but time will tell if that provides much value.

The MP I played during beta and it didn't interest me at all.

The campaign is tits covered in invisible rainbows of extasy and sugar plum faeries.

How does sharing gold work with 360 GwG? If I share gold, sign in to a friends account and "purchase" the free backwards compatible 360 game would she be able to download them with her silver 360 account or is sharing basically just the multiplayer services? I'm wondering if Microsoft was able to work out the "you only can play these games while you have gold" deal with the backwards compatible games or if they're like when you download them on the 360 and they're yours forever.

Sounds fantastic. $50 will be my sweet spot for that game. Hopefully it won't take too long. I just need a little break from dark souls 3. I'm starting to dream about it.

Talking about kids and games, I think it's wrong to downplay them or make them think they're playing when their controller is unplugged. When Doom 2 came out, I was 4. My parents were playing it and so did I. That gave me the basics for gaming, as beating Doom 2 on the higher difficulties too gave me the coordination that is necessary for gaming. Before the age of 10 I beat, among other things, Quake, Quake 2 and Duke Nukem 3D too, and I've been into RTS games a lot as well, stuff like Age Of Empires and The Settlers II. Now, I'm far from a pro player, but I'm definitely above average and can blast through most games at a high difficulty, not just FPS games. If my parents did not allow me to play normally as I was young, I would probably suck, instead I've made gaming an important hobby and my current job, too. And no, I'm not even a violent guy, never done fistfights or shootings at school or elsewhere.

Tl;dr: if you think your 4-8 years kid is too dumb to play a "serious" videogame, you're probably wrong.

I grabbed Rogue Legacy. I want Dirt Rally, but will hold off for a bit.

My Gold membership is also expiring, so I have to spend some $$ on that...

So you had bad parents?

The original (hand made in small batches) CFA sauce was made at the one in my hometown. We used to buy mason jars of it to take home. Now that it's nationwide, they don't make the homemade stuff anymore. It's good, but nothing like the real stuff we used to get.
It's missing the MSG and cocaine now. ;)

You are confusing the product announcement with the product launch. All the negative stuff you are referring to happened well before the product landed on store shelves.. A product launch is measured in sales numbers and Xbox One selling 4 million in 2 months.. it was a success. Could it have been more successful without all the nonsense..? Sure, but that doesn't change the fact.

If the graphic is so inaccurate, why don't you point out at least.. I don't know 1 discrepancy? Funny enough the graphic was made by a user on vgchartz.. a forum that skews heavily toward xbox fanboys..

But I suppose the wikipedia page is also horribly inaccurate as well?
No, Im not confusing the product announcement with the product launch. The Xbox One didn't start to recover until roughly 6 months AFTER the launch. Both the Xbox One reveal and the launch were absolutely atrocious from a PR standpoint as even tho MS did change many of the things gamers hated before the actual console launched, there were still a LOT of gamers pissed at the price and the fact that you still had to buy a Kinect with it. Again, this is FACT, one that Phil Spencer has openly admitted too in multiple interviews. It was around the roughly 6-7 month mark where you legitimately saw the Xbox One turning things around and from that point forward its just been one positive announcement after another and the console has been selling very well. It sales rate was actually 2.7 times the rate of the Xbox 360 at the one year mark. Its come down from that level and I am pretty sure its now somewhere around 1.6 times the rate of the Xbox 360.

Either way, the point I made was clear and concise, the Xbox One is not a failure and anyone who thinks it is is again either a Sony fanboy, hates MS so much they will say something negative about any MS product regardless of the reality of the situation, or has the knowledge of a 2nd grader regarding business and the console market. The Xbox One has broken every record in the book for MS and the Xbox brand in general and the following are FACTS, not opinions:

Fact - Xbox One had an absolutely atrocious reveal

Fact - Xbox One had a terrible launch as there were still a significant number of Xbox fans pissed by the price tag, having to buy Kinect, and were still upset about everything that had transpired wth the Xbox One from the reveal onwards.

Fact - Things did not start turning around for Xbox One until a couple of months after Phil Spencer was brought on board and Phil was named head of Xbox division on March 31st 2014. The Xbox One launched on Nov 22nd 2013.

Anyone suggesting the Xbox One started recovering from its downward PR spiral BEFORE Phil Spencer came on board is either completely full of sh*t or has a really bad memory of how events unfolded for Xbox One. Either way, my initial statements stands 100% uncorrected as it is 100% correct. The Xbox One was an utter disaster under Don Mattrick and he was very quickly replaced by Phil Spencer as a result. Phil Spencer on the other hand performed a miraculous turn around of the brand, especially on the PR side, and Xbox One has been doing extremely well on all fronts ever since.

Here is a good article right here:

I started Deus Ex Human Revolution last night,  since this thread is now all over the place I'm going to post my first impressions and a couple questions.

The controls are going to take some getting used to. I'm used to LT for aiming down the sights, not clicking RS. Too bad you can't change it within the menu.

Maybe it's just because I have only played for a couple of hours, but I wish there were also an option to make everything less black and gold. But that's a minor complaint and I'm sure it will grow on me.

Is this game still fun all the way through if you play as a straight up cover shooter? I realize you are rewarded more for being non lethal and sneaky, but I'm not the best at being stealthy. I did the manufacturing plant 50/50 and it was really fun, though frustrating when I was too chicken to make a move because I was worried I'd get caught.

Any tips I should know? Best augmentations to get at the beginning, items to buy, etc? I assume there are items anyway, I kept picking up "credit chips"
