So I thought the little Acre was a huge let down. It looked rather interesting in game trailers and I liked the cartoony look. I think some people were even comparing it to Ni No Kuni.But it doesn't really have much of a story and I couldn't grow attached to any of the characters. Plus it's very very short. I mean there is a speed run achievement for beating the game in under an hour, but even if you don't rush through the game and use an guide you could more then likely beat the game in two hours.

Easy achievements though. Was just hoping for more from it.
 
Is there a way to look at past prices for games/DLC on Live (especially for 360)?

For example, on Storeparser, I was looking at Borderlands TPS and I can only see up to May 2016.

I'd assume it would need to start very soon to be able to cover enough days.

Crappy part is that the wife is likely grabbing me a good amount of games on my wish list, and I'll probably miss out on some of the daily sales.

Here's hoping something decent for Christmas Day goes up. I'm predicting we see at least one thing from Telltale go on sale, since the new TWD game is coming this week.

Pre-ordering 'physical' versions from microsoftstore.com nets you 15,000 rewards points. Atleast according to xbox live rewards.

It' a former XBox Indie Game. Considering they sunsetted XBIG in September (October?) this is basically the only way they can bring games over to the X1.

I might throw $3 at them all things considered.

Sadly It was $1 when it was on the indie game market place. But this time it does have a bigger exposure all things considered.

Be forewarned, you cant free roam after finishing the game again like in DR3. You have to select chapters and work thru them again (i.e. certain parts of the mall are blocked off til you do story again to unlock that section)

 
Got rid of my Rainbow 6 disc for $24.75 at GS today. It's already been on sale digital for $25, hoping for lower during end of year sale. If not, just pick up a cheap copy off eBay

I just re-upped my Gold and Burnout Paradise isn't showing free for me.

Outlast and Sleeping Dogs redeem just fine, but Burnout is asking $15 to purchase on both website and console.

Can anyone explain?

Edit: MS support chat said there is an issue with some users redeeming Burnout. No idea when a fix might come.

Picked up DR4 preowned today at Gamestop, it was $34 and I had $30 in coupons from the Black Friday promotion for PUR points. Paid like $7 out of pocket and copy looks absolutely brand new so i'm happy. Now to keep an eye out for the Season Pass to be on sale...

Do you have a credit card on your Live account or do you have Paypal linked to your live account?

If not you can't claim the 360 GWG on your XBox One or the website.

I think even after adding it can take a few hours before you can.

It's truly ridiculous how unreliable Microsoft Store/Digital River promotions are. Three quarters of the time, I don't even get the $10 emailed codes, yet when on the phone with support, their 'verification' emails arrive in seconds. Seems like they just make you jump through hoops hoping you won't follow up.

Microsoft store. The number on the receipt for the game itself. Guess I got lucky. Took about 20 mins but he offered $20 in Live credit. He had a heck of a time generating the code. About 4:30 pm eastern during the week is when I called. It was somewhere in Asia (guy was chatty).

That's been my experience with them as well to the point I don't even fuck with that shit anymore. GCU more than not.

Looks like I'll be on Star Rank 2 for 2017 due to my previous digital rampage/BF digital haul lol. I also got 10 points from Bing/Microsoft Rewards, smh.

Yeah I have only done two. Got one (Gears of War pre order) but not this one. Makes me less likely to bother.

Had to look it up on x360a since the list isn't live on TA yet, but looks like Crypt is a 5 hour completion. Very straight forward achievements. Might get suckered into buying it eventually.

Otherwise, definitely in for the new Shantae and Walking Dead. Maybe Boom Ball as well even though I never played the first.

 
I just had a text chat with MS support, finally got my $15 for preordering Darksiders. Brings me to well over $300 right now. Ah'z be rich wit dat Xbox credit n sheeeit, mane.

after an hour of chatting with microsoft support I got 10 dollars from pre ordering resident evil 4, now to decide if I want octodad or wait for tomorrows sales in the hopes some of the new BC titles get a discount

Yeah, that's the number I called a week ago. I just got off the phone now and they are refusing to do anything about it until 12/30 because they keep saying they go out on the 15th and 30th of the month. I told them, no, that's when your points are supposed to be deposited, but they have to even be pending before they can be deposited. They are being total dicks about it.

I absolutely will never pre-order crap from MS again.

Edit: and when I explained that I knew others who had gotten up to $20 back because of the issue, they wanted to know the full name of the person so they could "investigate" because whoever helped them was not following proper procedure.

Crap, did I miss that Elf deal? Price still says it's good for 1 more day but I thought it had text about the promo on it which is gone now. I got so busy over the weekend with work I forgot that MS is stupid and sometimes ends stuff in the middle of the evening for the US...

LOL. I wouldn't have sold you out. But I seem to always get the shitty CSRs (and their supervisors).

But I'll definitely never order something from the Microsoft Store that's dependent on rewards points. It's kind of like mailing in for rebate and not getting it. Trying to get it is more hassle than it's worth.

GCU for the win.
