Not related to the original queztion, but I get this error everytime after a game uodates now (seems like it's been since the most recent system update). Like I need to boot up the updated game 6-7 times before it actually starts (get "something went wrong " over and over. Anyone else experience this?

I have two preview dashboards, two grooves, and two pandoras. The backgrounds/logos are different between each duplicate. I was actually able to have both versions downloaded and installed too but they couldn't be on the same storage location. It bothered me to have two of each so I just deleted all of them and redownloaded the store versions then hid the other ones in the ready to install list.

That's an awful lot of indie games I've never heard of. I applaud Obliteracers for being an online kart racer though. Isn't this the first online kart racer on XB1? I hope it's good.

I thought October was gonna be a big month but with Titanfall 2 and Battlefield pretty much guaranteed to hit the Vault within 6 months or less, I might end up just getting Mafia 3 and Gears 4.

I think it's just the multiplayer combat portion of Elite Dangerous which isn't really the meat of the game. On the other hand it's $1.12. So what's your buy point for turds?

 
It's odd but back when Titanfall OG came out everybody started copying the super fast paced movement. I mean CoD Black Ops 3 was essentially a copy/paste of the movement along with wallrunning and jetpacks. Now Titanfall 2.0 comes out and surprise surprise, they copy CoD in terms of gameplay.

I mean look I like that there's unlockables and stuff, it's good to work towards something, but some of this stuff is ridiculous. Like the wall hang being an ability now. Why in the world would I waste an ability on that? People barely used it in the first. It should just be left as a movement ability to make the game more fluid.

The grapple now takes your tactical slot and it's changeable. Why? This was touted as the big new movement addition and we get penalized for using it? Also speaking of tactical ability, the cloak ability is hidden behind a 500 point barrier (and level 14...). I've played several matches now and could barely muster up 27 points. At first I thought it was tied to kills but I've gotten way more than 27 kills. I have no idea why they've locked some stuff down with such high costs.

As mentioned the titans are garbage now. I ran after a titan that had about a quarter health before and started pumping him full of ammo. The guy managed to get one punch on me by boosting forward and my health was obliterated. I have to work very hard to get a titan (like someone else said, you're lucky to get 1 per match) and it goes away in a second.

The other confusing thing I noticed was when I hop on an enemy titan as a pilot, he does that thing where he removes the cap, and then he very confusingly hops off. I have to jump on a second time to start doing damage. It's clearly done in the interest of slowing it down, which again I don't like. It was fun getting a titan every other minute because it was ok if it was destroyed. 

Also the level design is a bit of a headscratcher. Lots of open spaces. Good for the occasional sniping but terrible for fast paced movement and run n gun action. Really limits what you can do. The original was designed so well with movement in mind. I know these are only 2 of probably many maps, but this is their first impression on us as consumers, and it's not giving us hope. I really hope they fix it up, otherwise I'll wait until it's in the bargain bin.

This is the combat mode that comes with the base game if you buy that. I remember at one point this mode was on sale for like 7 or 8 bucks so I guess this is a good deal. I think it normally goes for 15 or so. To be honest Elite's main selling point is the free roam gameplay where you explore the galaxy (think No Man's Sky but WAY more realistic). This doesn't have that.

I was puzzled by this until a loading screen tip explained that it's to steal a battery to power a titan's shield. Pulling the battery also does a significant amount of damage.

Eh, I'd get this but it's already included in all other versions of Elite Dangerous, even the $30 standard.

Really only worth getting if you never plan on getting the full game or want to try it out a little before you buy a fuller version.

They did a promo on Steam, but it was 100% free to keep forever, and the window was a lot longer than 6 hours. I guess the $1.12 is M$ tax.

I already have ALL the DLC that comes with the Apocalypse edition.. I just don't have the disk anymore.

I don't really want to spend $30 for the digital version, when all I need is the base game now.

Yea if Apoc edition goes on sale for 50% off I'll scoop it up, but it never seems to be discounted.

I may be wrong but I don't think it's ever been on sale. I think it just price dropped from 50 to 30 in August last year

Maybe once or twice, but I recall the base game getting delisted so that the bundle is your only option.

There has to be some major changes to that IMO, however. I still think they need to revert back to the old way of earning Titans. And if nothing else, maybe add a classic mode.

It's just way too different now in pacing. It doesn't feel like the same game. And that's a bad thing unless you just want to play the same style of game as COD.

We'll see, but like I mentioned previously, a LOT of people were complaining on the Respawn forums too so hope they take the feedback to heart.

October isn't as far away as it seems regardless of them calling this a "pre-alpha" build. I would rather have a delay than what they have now.
