So on the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 xbox webpage it lists Hulk as playable. That is blatantly false advertising that Activision should probably be sued for lol.

I've been following the fiasco the last few days and It's basically

MUA1 native 1080p/30fps *NO* DLC

MUA2 native 1080p/60fps *unlocked framerate + ALL DLC including the Gamestop exclusive Juggernaut*

So MUA2 I would probably buy as a re-release if it was say $20 and not $40. MUA1 is a easy pass since I'm missing only five achievements in that game and theres no enhancements whatsoever.

Also as of note Hyper Light Drifter is on sale for $15  (just released, I'm assuming a short sale?) when It's normally $19.99.

Damn - bought it on launch night (Monday) for full price. Game is very, very good.

If you like anything about Fez, Sword & Sworcery, Titan Souls, or even Dark Souls - then Hyper Light Drifter is your jam.

 
These MUA games suppose to be remasters?  They don't look like it if it is.  I went looking for MUA1 on my download history because I know I have it but couldn't find it but I realized I bought just the disc used for like $10 bucks long time ago.  Found the disc inside a different game case, whew, but it sucks it's not BC.  And I'm not liking that bundle price, actually, all of the prices too.  Hopefully it'll be discounted in half or more later on, I'll jump on MUA2 when it does.

People all assumed it was a remaster but they made it pretty clear it was more or less just a port with a slight update to the UI it seems.

I am extra annoyed because of both games, 2 was by far the weaker one and yet that is the only one with the DLC... plus the outrageous asking price of course too. I am sure it will sell like garbage, or at least I hope it does and it forces them to drop the price.

But they refunded the whole game instead and I planned on just rebuying it but I still have the rights to the game... haha someone screwed up it seems and I am not complaining : P

These MUAports are obviously a disappointment on several levels. A damn shame they didn't put some more effort into these and while they were at it port Xmen Legends 1 and 2 dammit!!!

They just did the same for me, but doesn't look like I still have the license as it shows the "Buy Now" on Xbox.com. I'll check when I get home and will buy it again. Good game -- just annoyed at the price drop after two days.

damn it, I really wish they released the Yooka Laylee toybox for Xbox one and PS4, had to watch a streamer play it, the game looks absolutely gorgeous!

 
The hyper light drifter 25% price has been active since at least last night (but I really think it was Tuesday night, the days are just bleeding together due to work so I can't be sure, but it was whenever night me, Darby and blink were in a party talking about it). I had just figured it launched with a discount and it was known already

I bought Frogger for BC, and finally bit on Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2, this week.
 
I can't find any actual forum where people discuss the game, but for anyone who downloaded Tumblestone - are you able to play online? I did this previous weekend, but since then I've tried multiple times and it just searches for a game for about 15 minutes and I give up. Maybe the game is already empty/dead?

I bought it during the last digital sale with it. If you watch a video or two and you think it looks like something you may like I will say you will like it then. I think it is really fun in short bursts especially with local multiplayer. I personally can't see myself playing it for more than like 45-60 minutes in a sitting though, but that doesn't really matter hah

 
~sigh~ With all this talk regarding the two Marvel Ultimate Alliance games, it appears that I'll save my 60 bucks for something else. Guess I'll fall back on the PSP version of the first game then.

Grueling. I made it almost halfway into the first game but I'm just not worthy. If you like the Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden games, or games where you may have to die 30 times fighting a boss to learn its patterns well enough to dodge every attack and land 500 hits on it before it dies, then this game may be for you. I was playing on normal. I could have bumped it down to easy, but I guess the game just wasn't interesting enough to hold my attention regardless.

I will say, for the tough moments of the game I did make it though, I felt like I actually achieved something and I was proud of myself. But I just don't need more stress in my life coming from a video game.

Sounds like I'll have to pick this one up. I've had Ninja Gaiden II since release... still haven't beat it lol. I get the itch for some torture every now and then

Like I mentioned, my experience is from LoS1, I've never played LoS2. I've heard it's alright but not as good, I'm just not sure in what way.

The first LoS had difficult spots, and was a very fun play through. I wouldn't say it's more difficult than Ninja Gaiden though.
I too heard the second one is different, focusing more on button mashing combat than the exploration and such of the first. Like I said, I bit cause of the price, and was definitely a fan of the first, so looking forward to this one.

Second one is Garbage tier for the most part. They added a lot of stealth portions to the game and story became even more nonsensical.

There are a few bright spots in the game however, the combat still clicks and there's some enjoyable boss battles. The first one was close to a 9/10 for me and probably the best 3D Castlevania ever just over Lament of Innocence aka the only other good Castlevania 3D Game. LoS 2 was like a 6ish out of 10.

I tried Rainbow Six Siege. It's a lot of fun! I wish it was $20 and not $30 I'd probably pick it up for the terrorist hunt alone, even at the 30fps.

Yeah, not sure what's going on with that (the game's release, not rampant dicks).

Major said it's out today, but most sites are saying August 9th, including Ubi's site. I must admit a morbid fascination with finding out if Ubisoft has somehow managed to ruin Uno. The screenshots look pretty similar to the 360 version. https://www.ubisoft.com/en-GB/game/uno/

Here's info from a Gamespot write up. Ignore the inaccurate part about how this is the "first time" an Uno game lets you set house rules:

For the first time, the game will also allow players to set personalised house rules. Uno will support up to four players online and up to two players offline. The game will use the following rules as standard:

  • Stacking: When a Draw Two or Wild Draw Four is played, play the same type of card to add to the penalty and pass it down to the next player.
  • 7-0: Playing a 7 allows you swap hands with another player, and playing a 0 forces all players to take their hand and pass it down in the order of play.
  • Jump-In: Whenever a card is played, if you hold an identical card, you may play that card out of turn.

That 7-0 rule I've never heard of, and sounds like bullshit. Glad you can turn it off. Not sure I'm liking that jump in rule either.

His blog no longer has Uno releasimg today and @xboxsupport directed me to an early July press release from Ubi with the August 9th release date. This isn't the first time Major has screwed up release dates.

Also got confirmation from The Behemoth that Pit People will not be a part of the Summer Spotlight.

Was really hopeful the game was nearing release due to the beta that is supposedly launching next week.
 
Played Rainbow Six Siege at my boys place, shit is awesome! I have my BB copy still wrapped up in plastic. Think I'll have to fire that thing up instead of relegating it to the backlog.
