I thought some jack wagon said BC was all done with no source to back it up? So weird how they were wrong on that speculative no basis claim. It's almost like they just didn't have any ready on Tuesday this week but are still going full speed ahead with it.
 
Think I once had Shadowrun way back in the Blockbuster days when they were doing a 10 for 10 sale or something like that. Have to check when I get home but pretty sure I no longer have it.

Perhaps 'garbage' is strong. Maybe "wholly average" would be more appropriate.

Honestly, I didn't realize Shadowrun had CAG's that were really excited for its BC release, or I would certainly have chosen a different word out of respect; I meant no offense.

I just wish Microsoft would continue working its way down its Top 10 requested BC titles is all....

I remember buying Shadowrun at Sears on clearance for $1.97.  Never opened it.  Checked my Xbox purchase history, bought on 10/1/14 during the freebie window.

So, when Gamestop jacks up the price of newly announced BC titles, do they also increase the trade-in value?

Trade in value is also determined by how many copies they have so the answer is... not really.

He's speculating because most games go up in price when BC is announced. So buy them cheap, sell them right after BC and make a few dollars.

No!!! Gamestop wants more money doesnt mean they are ready to pay more money. They'll take it for cheap and turn around and sell it for exorbitant prices.

The closest gamestop denied my hold request (this morning) because they [need] to sell me a game for 4.99, when they can jack the price to 19.99 (later in the day). Others may call them entrepreneurs, I call them assholes.

 
For the few people that were talking about the 50k rewards points for the Xbox one s upgrade. My points showed up as pending today AND I got the $25 gift card so you do get both. I also realized that I didn't use the code for free expedited shipping so that doesn't factor into it.

With this bonus and the $50 for $40 Xbox credit at staples I'm hoping there's some decent deals for the countdown sales.

I'm disappointed by the BC games this week. To my understanding, isn't shadow run online only? I don't recall see why they would bother with a multiplayer only game, unless it had a really strong community.

On a side note, anyone else still surprised we haven't gotten Fable Anniversary on BC? I'm hoping it's still in the works even though lionhead went under. I just want the convenience of playing it on my xbox one rather than the old 360

The price did seem to double from earlier today, but that's not unexpected (I don't know when it went from $2 to $5 though). It's still cheaper than buying it digitally, but since I had my copy held at $4.99 and now I'd pay double that to pick it up, I will leave it for someone else that wants to play it more.

You must be mistaking me for Blinky up there, I typically don't bother people when they post their stuffs for too much money. Sometimes the supply demands the price, sometimes the seller is clueless. I leave it up to the buyer to not be clueless. :)

I only support GS (to my detriment in the CE thread apparently) because they've been VERY generous to me over the last few years or so that I've been trading in games. Not as generous as that mythic Sam's Club --> Walmart --> Sam's Club was, but generous enough. :)

TL;DR - Caveat Emptor!

I know the numbers are exactly fantastic (but a 1 point gain in user score vs review score usually tells me that reviewers as usual didnt know shit), but I think it was a really solid multiplayer game

Then look at reviews like those:

Shadowrun has no visible persistent statistics, no way to modify character models, nothing, outside of Achievements, to serve as reward. As gamers, it's rewards we crave, be it of the narrative variety, in-game items, new options or modes, or something entirely different.

tl;dr: pretty solid FPS slaughtered by reviewers because of it being online only, in a time when they probably didn't expect it would become the norm in 10 years

I got my 50K points today too (after getting the $25 gift code a week or so ago). Now to take advantage of the Xbox credit for points sale and get more RB4 DLC!

^ I knew I forgot something today. I just went to Ubisoft's Uplay Club Free game page but daily I go to their 30 day promo advent calendar - which has been more snooze than anything really, although I did get free Rayman on Android the beginning of the month - and halo waypoint reqs.

It says you need to be SR 5 for the Gold pack though, fyi.

 
Dead Rising 4 is fun as hell. No timer to stress you out. You can drive to waypoint then decide to make a left turn next thing you know you've kille 10K zombies lol. The multiplayer is nice too, kinda like a zombie horde with a few maniacs thrown in for good measure.

I could've bought the game for Windows 10 PC for $25 two days ago during the Denmark price glitch, but didn't act quick enough. I'm kicking myself right now, as I would gladly buy it digital on either Win10 or Xbox1 if given even a modest bit of savings. Seems like the perfect game for vegging out on the weekend; supposedly the most enjoyable release since the series' first.

Which is the better game? Dead Rising 2: Off the Record...or...Dead Rising 4...?
