So much meat here. First, Washington is going to dominate Alabama. Second, you mean to tell me you actually like when the NFL decides to frame people?

And yeah, game deals were crazy this year. I went in thinking I wasn't going to buy aything, but the prices were so good I couldn't resist. Even though some of the digital prices didn't drop as low as everyone wanted, they still dropped to the point that you would at least consider it over physical

Forget if I asked this before, moved to a new house about 8 months ago and the 360 no longer has a wired Ethernet option (cable modem is on another floor).

My 2 options (cheapest) are buying the wifi adapter or a power line adapter right? Cause moving the modem or 360 isn't an option...

I would buy a wifi extender with Ethernet jack and now you have Ethernet access and extended wifi coverage.

Dang. Forgot about that option. They're pretty easy to set up too right? Just plug in and push a button near the modem to establish first link and then plug it in at another location in the house..

Nope Diablo 3 doesn't require a subscription to play. Only sub you'll need is XBL Gold if you want to play online co-op. Also, happy birthday!

Lol... I think I'm fine. I have a small lump on the top of my head that looks like a reset button, and my forearm is swollen, but it hasn't gotten any worse overnight. You might be able to get a new(used) 360 with wifi built in cheaper than a good adapter.

A MoCA device might be an option as well, I have one from my cable provider and it allows my pc in another room to get full wired speeds through a spare coax outlet.

I'm gonna be rootin' for Washington because they've had a heck of a season but let's be real here, it's Alabama in the finals.

And yeah I wasn't planning on grabbing that Skyrim Remastered Edition digitally but it was too good to pass up pricewise and I was able to get it downloaded while family and I were over at my Uncle's place.

I second the MoCa adapter the other person mentioned. They're pricey, but full speed like a CAT cable. power line adapters work too but my speed was reduced to 1/3 of my service. Might be because of the old wiring from 80's or devices on the same electric line causing it. If you can afford it, MoCa is way better though. Wireless would be a last resort to me since downloading games would be so slow. I try to keep only mobile devices on wireless.

I have MoCa adapters to every room with a coax connection and setup a bridge/access point. That way I have full speed to each room with wired that needs it, and a wireless access point for mobile.

I had $60 in Xbox gift cards when this countdown sale began and I still have $60.

I'm debating the $20 Modern Warfare collection on 360, cuz I worry the price won't ever go that low once those are BC. Also debating AC Rogue but that one seems likely to go BC and GWG in the same month. Maybe I'll just save my credits and buy Halo Wars 2 digitally.

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but Diablo 3 is still not free to play, right?  Just making sure I'm not looking at the wrong place.  There's no download/trial/etc. button.  The only options I see are Buy, Redeem Code, and Game Hub.

If someone has twitter, can you please ask Major Nelson if that free play is a typo or if they forgot to turn it on?

It's funny when people believe advertising on manufacturer packaging. No way a MOCA adapter is giving you 5e speeds. Sorry.
 
My wiring is from the 70s and I get full speeds through the powerline adapter for our kitchen computer. That's all I can ask for, I'm not streaming internally to or from it.

A MoCA device might be an option as well, I have one from my cable provider and it allows my pc in another room to get full wired speeds through a spare coax outlet.

I have a couple of MoCA adapters one for the basement where my game consoles are works pretty well. You should have a filter where the cable service enters your house for security. Theoretically a neighbor could plug in a MoCA adapter and get on your network.

You need a pair of you are on cable.

So I actually did not even play many games from 2016 so my top 8 games I started in 2016 would be:

  1. Uncharted 4
  2. Warframe
  3. Bloodborne
  4. Dark Souls III
  5. Batman: Arkham Knight
  6. Quantum Break
  7. Rise of the Tomb Raider
  8. Doom
 
I rarely game anymore but a game I did play all the way through was Arkham Knight and I had a blast

really fun and great game imo

loved the side stuff like that serial killer guy and that bat and such

so that was my favorite of 2016

I did play far cry 4 and loved the yetis but it was pretty much an oversharpened and lesser version of far cry 3 which just made me wanted an improved graphical version of that nearly flawless game

 
I didn't play as many new games as normal this year due to college. It's fun feeling old at 28 because of all the 18 year olds that haven't played or sometimes even heard of any of my favorite old games.

1. Overwatch

2. Final Fantasy XV

3. Doom

I just finished Rise of the Tomb Raider and enjoyed it quite a bit, and had fun with Dragon Age Inquisition when I finally got into it. Xenoblade Chronicles X and Super Mario Maker on the Wii U.

Next year the only couple of things really high up on my radar currently are Mass Effect and Zelda.
