You must be new to Gamestop then. I traded in my disc copy of Lightning Returns the other day, and even with a 50% bonus + 10% Edge membership bonus, I got $5.78. So if I didn't have the coupons/trade bonus, I would have gotten $3.50 for the game.

And when I was browsing through the used games they had (bought FFXIII to complete the trilogy), I saw they had three copies of Lightning Returns selling for $15.
 
No. Not new. Just never did the markup math. I know they give about a tenth to a quarter of what they actually sell it for.

I am happy to see a BC game that can't be easily marked up due to apparently over-abundant inventory.
 
Just got a Xbox Live message telling me about the Paladins Beta, launch the Xbox Insider Hub app to get started. Huh, also says I'm a "Xbox Insiders Level 5 and above" individual. FYI, check your messages.
 
Probably a bad time to mention that it'll be sunny and 80 here in SC on Saturday.

But we've had a few of bad hail storms here as well. One of my cars still has dents all over it and we had to have our roof replaced a few years back from one wicked storm.

California mountains here and it's the worst winter I've seen on the west coast

still freezing at night, piles of snow and rain. Good for the state but absolutely miserable the last 5ish months up here

 
Surprised there hasn't been talk about the new dash here. Haven't updated yet since I've been seeing complaints about snap being removed.

I personally really like it. Since my recent games and my pins are right there, I rarely have to go to the home screen.

I don't miss snap either because I would start it accidentally 99.9% of the time and it was a pain to make go away in a timely fashion. That being said, I don't know how they would pull off PiP because putting that window anywhere would pretty much block an important part of some screen. The Achievement overlay is nice with its varying level of transparency, but it's still hard to find a place for it sometimes. Same for the Beam overlay, even as tiny as it is.

Going back to the Home screen is a few more buttons, but Xbox-A-A or Xbox-Right-A flows right out of my fingers.

That's my main reason for not updating, though I do use snap once in a while (oneguide for news on tv or youtube while playing FO4). I'll never use Beam or the new clubs upgrades or lfg upgrades, so don't really want to install the new dash. Don't care about achiements either, so all these upgrades aren't appealing at all to me. They're just removing two things I use and giving me things instead I won't ever use...ugh.

Interesting timing. I use snap all the time and was about to ask if anybody knew how to enable it...but it's gone :(

I need a quart of ice cream now...Ice Cream Cone Blue Bell is legit by the way. I kill that ice cream.
 
The Gears 4 Atlantic City Open is this weekend with the rest of the Phantom weapon skins available through quests in the live streams each day.  Tomorrow has the Embar and Overkill, Saturday has the Torque Bow and Markza and Sunday has the Lancer, Snub and Dropshot.

It's about as slow and clunky as before, so it doesn't really change the core issues anymore than any other update. Getting rid of the easy access to the home screen isn't great, but the new sidebar is a decent alternative. It just needs some further tweaking to get closer to its full potential.

The highest I have is Silver 2 in a number of the types. I mostly just play KOTH and Escalation in competitive, where my deaths can be countered by captures and breaks and I usually finish in the top half of scorers for a match (provided the teams are even). For the other game types, I played the 5 matches needed to set a ranking for the achievement and that's pretty much it. I'll see the other types (and hope to get the necessary ribbons) in co-op vs. AI, since I play a daily match of that for the First Win of the Day bonus 1k XP and 100 credits.

It's kind of redundant when I think about it. They're taking the home screen, which I use constantly, and condensing a smaller version of it to fit on the sidebar which I never use. Don't see the point of them spending development money on this.

How long can I go without installing the new dash do you think?

Well, there's a performance boost not having to have a game windowed on the home screen and I can see more of my background so I'm liking that too. I'll prob never use Beam either though. I quite like Clubs tbh.

The biggest things I used to snap was YouTube,music player, achievements and occasionally play a game of Threes while waiting on my main game. They built in music and achievements finally and the PiP achievement tracking is a neat feature.

I always felt like Snap ate up too much screen for my tastes. Maybe if you have a 50+ inch. Hopefully that picture in picture thing comes out before too long. I might actually use that if you get to position where the second screen actually is. I know a select few were loosing their minds on Reddit, people that were actually enticed by the shitshow that was the Xbone announcement.

Luckily it is just warm enough here in NY we will get rain and maybe some snow but nothing is expected to stick to the streets. I am done with winter. The 2 feet of snow from 2+ weeks ago is all but melted. Just snow banks left.

 
I keep seeing that performance boost mentioned but no clue what actually needed boosting. I never have lag or anything switching screens or between apps and whatnot, so don't know what supposedly was so bad it needed boosting. Are they adding pip? If they do that'd be ok.

I read an article about Aaron Hernandez's brother (who apparently looks just like Aaron) and how he moved down to Texas to start a new life repairing people's hail damaged roofs following his brother becoming a murdering psychopath. Had no idea hail was such a problem down there, I couldn't imagine golf ball sized hail falling here

It's funny, the people who get excited about warmer weather and whine about the cold, are among the first ones to be worried when severe weather like damaging winds and tornadoes are forecasted. I don't know about them, but I'd rather be cold outside, than be homeless due to a tornado destroying my home.

Yeah, I got one of those yesterday just saying Level 10 instead of 5. Seems to be going out in waves.

 
I did an insurance claim less than 6 months ago where softball sized hail did 30k damage to my house, lol. USAA covered it all so it was no biggie. I'm in Colorado, which is the second biggest hail damage state, behind Texas :p

I just got an update, that would explain that and yeah I was playing a few season matches as it said no online matches were available - which I found odd seeing that there were people online.
