The Destiny Collection for $30 isn't bad for anyone who still hasn't played and wants to play ahead of the sequel. Lots of game for $30. If I even had an iota of the free time that game takes, I'd consider getting it for X1.

The end-game content requires other players and doesn't provide matchmaking (unless this changed in Rise of Iron, but I sincerely doubt it). I never played the raids more than a few times, for reference. Almost everything else is doable and pretty fun solo, although the weekly challenges (mostly extra-hard boss runs with handicaps) were what kept me coming back every week to play with a friend. X1 also has LFG so if you really wanted some randoms to run them with, you could.

I'm not usually huge on PVP but I loved it in Destiny and its easy to drop in and out of. The gear you find makes an enormous difference in how your character plays, in addition to class differences, so lots of variety to the mayhem. The daily and weekly challenges also provide incentive to play PVP and don't require you to win every match to succeed or get loot. However, you can also ignore it completely, but IMHO you'd be missing out in some of the most fun the game has to offer.

Also, the Wolves expansion is basically horde mode, and requires other players on the worthwhile difficulties.

 
I'm not going to say it's a bad sale. There's a ton of stuff that have great prices on them (Life is Strange jumped out at me for $5) but everything I'd want is already in my backlog.

Just a real bummer. I think everyone was hoping for more unique titles and larger discounts on repeat sale titles.

Black Ops 2 is $19.99 for Gold subscribers. That's a BC price if I ever saw one. Plus the fact most of the 360 games in this sale are BC titles. Did we miss an announcement?

I mean this is like the 3rd time or more for a lot of these "usual suspects" in the sales so I'm not even disappointed, but yeah was hoping for some more unique ID@Xbox stuff I probably have forgotten about at this point. A sale for them could actually spark some life in their sales numbers instead of waiting to see if that lone hold out is going to finally buy Metro 2033...

 
Alright, I have no friends to play with, but I'm seriously considering if I should get Overwatch or R6 Siege. They've been tempting me for a long while now.

Also $5 for Life is Strange? May finally bite on this one.

 
Candleman looks like a cool platformer. Thoughts?

Considering that, Rise & Shine and maybe finally biting on Screamride.

Isn't Rise & Shine supposed to be unbearably difficult? Or am I thinking of something else?
 
I cared not for Screamride.
Was nothing like I thought it was going to be and after about 5 minutes, turned it off.
There was a guy in the trade threads selling a copy for 6.00 the other day.

Phil Spencer loved Candleman. (Seriously.)

Rise & Shine isn't 'unbearably' hard. It is just challenging - but can be overcome w/ enemy pattern memorization. I think it was patched to make it easer, too. It is a charming game, packed with game references.

Cool. I was definitely interested in R&S when it came out, so WTF? it's only money and another game to add to the backlog.

I haven't played it in a few years, but I guess I'm one of the few that enjoyed it. It's an important game for me. I figure if any game can make me this angry after this many years it deserves some praise.

Not angry at the game being crappy or anything. Just the end of the game frustrated me.

I finished it a few months ago and I'd say it aged well. It played pretty much the same as every other Fable game, just with some improvements here and there.

 
So whats the verdict on Necropolis i heard it was sort of like dark souls so thats a +.
