  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Are you playing the Anniversary Edition of Halo? The audio was redone for it, so it should sound much better. Noting that, I did notice a few parts where I couldn't exactly hear the dialog as well as I had wished, but I was able to understand the story enough without it, so you should be okay if you pay attention to the rest of the game.

The same reason that I'm interested in this sale: Microsoft currency. The free weekly $5 giveaways have essentially given us free quality games like Gears 3. Gamestop sells Gears 3 for $10 used but I'd rather save money out of pocket and just pay for the games with disposable currency. Plus, some of the currency that was converted from the points transition will expire at some point anyway.

I'm looking forward to buying Gears again. This will go nicely with my Gears 3 LE console :)

Come to think of it, I'm not even sure you could play the main playlists without if since they're combined into the standard playlist. So yeah, it might be a problem playing online if you don't have the SP.

 
Here's another way to tell that Ghosts sucked: BO2 season pass didn't go on sale until 15 months after the game's release. Ghosts' season pass is on sale less than 8 months after release. Wow.   Tempted to get the extinction dlc's though.....

Some good prices. Thinking of GoW 3 since I have the first two on digital already but I'm also tired of buying games and having them show up as GwG.

I'm going to say absolutely, but I LOVE the series. AC4 is just plain fun. There is a lot to do and the sailing is epic.

I played them all as they came out. I prefer playing games when they are newer. That way when spoilers appear, they don't spoil anything for me.

Or you could never purchase a COD map pack altogether with the yearly releases.

Extinction is fun, not better than zombies but still fun. They still have one pack left too. I bought the season pass for $25, less than a month after release and it was totally worth it just for extinction.

TWD2 episode 1 was on sale for 99 cents a few months back so hopefully people snatched it then. It'll likely go on sale again to that price as TellTale is pretty good at doing sales of their newer games fairly regularly or at least dropping the price on the first episode of a title.

It's funny how The Wolf Among Us has stolen the spotlight from The Walking Dead this year. Will be interesting to see what game winds up as GOTY at the end of 2014 for most publications as I expect it to be an indie title.

The problem with buying ACIV is that Ubisoft discounts that series and their titles regularly even at the retailer. So within a year or so they often get down to $20. I'm still making my way through AC Brotherhood (have to admit I have put 13 hours or so into ACIII as I got bored of the European setting) so I'm in no rush to get to AC IV. Once the new AC game for the last gen comes out ACIV will be marked down to under $20 anyways and easy to get for cheaper used. Unless you're a massive fan I'd hold off.

I realize that now. I don't see them discounting or making the first ep free for this sale though, since everything else TWD-related is on sale tomorrow, but hopefully by the time the last ep is out. Hope 4 comes by end of July. It says by Fall but TWAU came out pretty timely after TT promised and with that out of the way, they can focus on TWD (since I'm not excited at all for their borderlands series).

Also, do you or anyone else care to give a spoiler-free gut reaction to TWD season 2 vs season 1? I enjoyed season 1 immensely but heard it wasn't until ep3 where it was really good. Hope with the last two they can redeem it from TWAU's shadow.

I know the cross buy for the Ghosts Season pass was supposed to end in May. Can anyone verify this, that purchasing the ghosts 360 season pass will no longer net me the same on the xbox one?

Yeah, ACIV is a FANTASTIC pirate game. They should have made it its own thing and not an AC game, honestly. Because the AC parts and it's addition to the overall story is just 'meh' IMO. But, oooooh, those pirate parts. Just sailing and listening to the sea shantys is so damn good.

The first ep was on sale for $1 at some random point during the last year. So this is pretty awesome.

I love how MS has the first big sale in ages right around the Treasure Hunt Thursday stuff, haha. Can't wait to finally have things to blow my credit on. :)

Best part is you can get more free credit this upcoming Thursday! :mrgreen:

This. I'm a huge AC fan. I enjoyed ACIV a lot, but it never really felt like an AC game.

 
Just a note for anyone who might be looking at any of the Serious Sam games, my local Wal-Mart had the Serious Sam collection on clearance for $10. Obviously YMMV. Includes First Encounter, Second Encounter, DD XXL, Sam 3 and DLC.

 
From what i see in Major Nelson's blog i need only Sensible World of Soccer and BloodRayne: Betrayal. For BloodRayne i heard it's really batshit insane in later levels, especially if you care about achievements.

btw Not going to support Kojima and his paid demo. Waiting for complete edition of MGSV that includes everything.

Your resistance is helping me keep my steely resolve on not buying MGS:GZ. I LOVE stealth games but I just can't get myself to do it. If it were 5 bucks, maybe I would allow myself to falter.

Go figure, a digital games sale on XBox 360, when I have about 28GB of space free. Meanwhile, my Xbox One with 4.3TB of 4.5TB of space free gets little or no sales.

$20 is a steal for it if you are a fan of Metal Gear series. Whoever told you it was a paid demo lied to you or thinks the main story is the only thing you can do in the game.

I bought it for $20 and I thought it was great. I would say buy that to anyone that hasn't already. If you're a MGS fan, you won't be sad you bought it for that price.
 
Gears 3 showing $4.99 but still full price as well.

Portal 2 showing up full price but is $6.59.

Serious Sam 1 & 2 are working but 3 is still full price.
