This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

It's not the length, I can pay $15 for a good game that lasts 5 hours. It's just that I'd feel ripped paying more than $5 for Deadlight. I payed $3 for it and I'm very glad, but $5 is also a good price.

That said, free is better :whistle2: And it's worth a playthrough imo.
I paid $7.50 forever ago and I still haven't forgiven myself. :wall:

I'm still thinking one of these months for GWG we're going to have a racing game and/or a sports title. Those aren't the kinds of games I'd play, but I'd check out Forza for free.

Well seeing as GWG for this month was pretty good hopefully they keep it up next month

For some reason im thinking it may be like Fallout 3 and random guess...........tony hawk HD

Well that's awesome. Got Minecraft from the recent Target B2G1 and haven't opened it yet wondering if I shouldn't hold off for the next gen versions. Now I can open it confidently.

That's great news. I never really made anything special, but AH's Let's Plays are gonna still be awesome!
That is nice for them, but I'd imagine that they'd like to have the larger world and easy access to the stuff they've missed out on in every update since launch to make a new Achievement City.

I don't know how they're adding in old worlds, but I would imagine it'll just place your current 360 world in your X1 world and randomly generate outword to add new areas. If that's the case, I see them keeping their world. If not, I'm sure they'll just start anew. Hopefully the X1 version has the tools like PC does and can create large structures in seconds. It'll kill Let's Builds, but would make for more interesting Let's Plays.

That would be an incredible amount of work to do when they still have three more versions of the game to release sometime this year, hopefully. I'd guess that they are taking the simpler root of just transferring the save/seed data over and keeping those limitations in place.

I really wish MS would take some of the odd old Arcade games and give them for gold. Jetpak Refueled, 0 Day Attack On Earth comes to mind but shit from way way back that I dont want to spend $5 on would be a treat

Cheapassgamer.com where you come looking for sales to spend less money, and end up begging other CAGers to convince you to buy more. BTW, i'm on the fence for that YGO, do you know if this one has that feature where you a card password and pay some points to get it instead of just buying packs.

Which YGO ? Millenium duels or is it another one ?
Did you mean "begging other CAGs NOT to convince you?" =P

And as far as I know they don't implement that...I miss thisfeature too, could always unlock my own cards on the Gameboy Version...if you mean that by card password? lol

However it would be kinda shameful to get this full price when I rejected AC Liberation recently with 33% off hrm =P

Never understood the obsession with Minecraft. I watched my girls brother play that shit and I was bored out of my balls just watching.
I used to say the same thing to a friend who played until he finally handed me a controller and said "here play for one hour and we'll see how much shit you talk then". 300 or so playtime hours later I had definitely changed my tune. You really gotta get into it with some friends and get invested in building a world to understand just how addicting that game is.

That took months?
Yeah. Ouch. Wonder how EA will handle the Dragon Age 3 saves? Is that still a thing? #Biowarepromises

Bueller? Bueller?

I got Minecraft free through RAPTR promo ages ago, so I'd imagine picking up the X1 version eventually. I wonder what the improvements are?

Probably larger worlds and less frame rate issues. If you're into making Let's Plays, they are easier to make with X1.

Just a quick reminder - Rock Band's song "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey will be removed from the marketplace April 30th, in one week. Don't delay and wait to the last minute, cause who knows if it gets removed early a la GH dlc.

So where's mah Rock Band 3 discount tracks MS???
Shit, any others? Thanks for the warning.

Shit, any others? Thanks for the warning.
Harmonix sends out an update every quarter(since April 2013) if something is getting pulled from the marketplace. I'll update this thread if something else will disappear from the marketplace again. The next update will be May, so hopefully nothing else will be pulled. Eventually they all will be since the licenses to these songs just cannot last forever :headache:

I'm sure there's some algorithm or generator that'll extend around the world. Maybe its not as hard as we think. I mean. Lets say the current worlds are 200 x 200. The new ones are 1000 x 1000. It would just have to evenly randomly generate outwardly the other 800. The game already randomly generates as is. Who knows. Maybe its easy, maybe its hard. We'll find out I guess.

Yet it took them months to get Cross-Platform Saves to work. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but I kind of doubt it.

It'd be nice if they added the ability to connect worlds like Project Spark. Then worlds could potentially be unlimited.

Had a similar experience. I already played a lot of creative games, including the mod for Blockland, Return to Blockland. That was like the ultimate LEGO experience, and you could build just about anything you ever wanted there. So I was like: what can Minecraft do that all other creative games I played can't? Mining, collecting resources and stuff sounded boring, so I never bothered. That is until FortressCraft came out as an indie on X360, so I was like: yeah, whatever, let's try it out. I got addicted to block-building again, in fact I built a giant planet among other things. Then Minecraft came out with its many, many blocks, and from then it was endless creativity. I have like 20 worlds in the game right now, and I even ended up liking the adventuring too, albeit it does get old after a while. It's a game that doesn't really impress unless you actually play it.

I have no imagination so I can't play mine craft or I fall asleep. Playing mine craft to me is as exciting as running across an open world game with no fast travel system.

I couldn't get into minecraft because of the graphics.  I had to ask my friends what this blob of color was, what's that blob of color supposed to be, this is a what?!?!  I felt like I was looking at an impressionist painting while half blind.

And I'm not a graphics whore.  Enjoying Titanfall on 360 despite being able to see the graphical downgrade from the XB1/PC versions.  The blockiness of minecraft, I just could not do.

The difference between Titanfall on consoles isn't that big, so that doesn't mean that you can't still be a graphics whore if Minecraft's look confuses you.

I wish this would happen too, so I could watch the meltdown on Major Nelson's site and every other news outlet website.

I really just wish they would give more options like dlc for those that own the game. Hell even a stupid avitar item might kill some of the buyers remorse i have even single month. I've actually found myself passing on sales due to the thought that the game might be free. It's killing my impulse buys...

Cheapassgamer.com where you come looking for sales to spend less money, and end up begging other CAGers to convince you to buy more.
Cheapassgamer.com: where the most-active posters already own every game on Day 1, and then gripe any time one goes on sale or is free.

Hey, we're having the exact same stupid conversation over in the PSN thread. What are the odds?!?!?

If you don't want to get burned by GwG then stop buying games. It's that simple.

Black Flag (360) at Amazon for $13.99 is so tempting. I'd definitely buy if it was for X1. Good for anybody that grabbed the season pass, but doesn't own it yet.

No i meant it, because whenever i'm not sure about buying something on sale I end up asking advise... and well, deep down in my head I hope someone just gives me a stupid reason at worst to buy the :p . And thank you, no password feature equals an instant no-buy. Yes shame on you if you do it. Don't get it either haha.

The Millenium Duels game.
I think it has been available in the U.S. marketplace for almost a month or so.
