This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Black Flag (360) at Amazon for $13.99 is so tempting. I'd definitely buy if it was for X1. Good for anybody that grabbed the season pass, but doesn't own it yet.
This is also the Best Buy Deal of the Day right now and I was initially going to hold off on it and pick it up on Xbox One - I'm trying to limit my last gen library. Crap, at that price I don't mind double dipping and double crap I didn't get the ACIV Season Pass last week haha. Doh. I had a $5 promo code in my Best Buy account for some reason so f'n A awesome ACIV: BF for $9 and change! :D/

Also good to hear Minecraft 360 version is imported for the Xbox One version. I'll probably import my old world, play with it a while and then create another one for all the new updates to take effect. I sort of loved Minecraft and then feel it to be a pain in the ass now with the constant food necessity. It kind of kills the flow of the game for me and I haven't played ever since they keep adding stuff to it. It was perfect before the food update.

Didn't see it mentioned yet but a reliable source has said that Dust: An Elysian Tale will be one of the May Games With Gold.

This guy has been accurate with his previous GWG predictions.

No i meant it, because whenever i'm not sure about buying something on sale I end up asking advise... and well, deep down in my head I hope someone just gives me a stupid reason at worst to buy the :p . And thank you, no password feature equals an instant no-buy. Yes shame on you if you do it. Don't get it either haha.

I think it has been available in the U.S. marketplace for almost a month or so.

Well what do you know, this it what happens when we have crappy sales. Damn i'm starting to lose faith in these sales except for the holidays and black friday.
Yugioh Millenium Duels only came out in America about a month ago. Recently it came out in Australia, so maybe it came out in other areas also.

If it is I don't have it (passed on the last sale) but why don't they give something that wasn't on sale the last few months? This just pisses off everyone who recently bought it.

Own it as well but that's a good pick. I liked it so much I'm not even mad. Just glad for more ppl to experience the furries

Hey, we're having the exact same stupid conversation over in the PSN thread. What are the odds?!?!?
It's my fault, I brought the germs over here after licking tek.

Yay.

EDIT: At 10 EST turn your TVs to NBC. You don't have to watch, just turn it on!!!
Why?

Just hit 80,000 Gamerscore, which was my goal before finally putting my Xbox 360 out to pasture.  Glad I hit it, still got about a dozen digital games left to play so the end is coming soon.

Also just finished Serious Sam DD XXL which was actually great!  Highly recommended next time it goes on sale.

Tom Clancy Endwar servers being down is BS. I hate when games that don't get sequels and are centered around online play shut down the servers.

If Endwar Online was on consoles right now I would have 0 qualms, but it's still in Beta and it's PC only

A game that was priced at 3$ two months ago... yeah it sounds like Dust is a solid candidate for GwG. I already own it of course, from time ago. Maybe the best 'metroidvania' game of the generation after shadow complex.

OT: If Hannibal goes cancelled there's no justice on earth.

So what ever happened to Zombie Driver?  It was being delisted at the end of January but never was?

And the nether regions of the OP could use some updating.  Eg. Hitman sales, etc

Turn the difficulty down. You dont die from hunger on normal and you dont need to eat at all on easy.

I can't do it though as its hard enough for enemies to kill you as it is on hard with Diamond armor. I need some potential risk to keep me interested.

I think they nerfed the number of enemies in one of the updates. I hope they changes when it comes to X1. I remember spending a long time building castle walls because of all the things outside when the game first came out. Looking over the wall, I'd see at least 20 of everything. It was nuts. Now there is barely anything. I don't know if the nerf was because of frame rate issues or if the game wasn't intended to have 100+ monsters so close to you. That would definitely raise your risk level :3

I really wish MS would take some of the odd old Arcade games and give them for gold. Jetpak Refueled, 0 Day Attack On Earth comes to mind but shit from way way back that I dont want to spend $5 on would be a treat
And have a huge shit storm from all the people complaining?

Yeah Microsoft should do a spring cleaning sale, all the old arcade games for like a buck, similar to what they've done with old Kinect games.

Wish an EDF game would be a GwG sometime soon. That'd be rad. Also, Warface is finally out; if there's anyone here who played the beta and is currently playing full release, would you mind sharing some details on the differences?

Somebody mentioned a few days ago that it is still a broken mess, but fun when it actually works.

Netflix is open to more seasons and it was the show runner's idea to make it a character based season, so yes. It worked out and I watched it all and I know alot of people who did as well.
I watched it all, and I was disappointed after such a long wait, tbh. Just lacked the spark of the original series, for whatever reason.

I Think more the character specific episodes didn't work for it. Since it really wasn't until episode 5 with I believe Gob's episode where it really started to pick up. Though what people tend to forget is that Arrested Development was able to continue onto another network after season three first aired, but they turned the deal down or never went to seek it out mostly because they were ready to move on. So really season four only happened because of demand from fans continuing for that long.

Man, I'm one of the people who just grabbed Dust when it was mad cheap recently, but I'm prepared...

I did this with Deadlight. As long as I beat it BEFORE it becomes free, the urge to punch my genitals decreases big time. MS still sucks for doing that to games that were recently on sale for prices too hard to pass up on.

Sales suck this week so I guess its TV weekend yay

Season 4 felt a little like fan service, but did add some good parts. I'm hoping AD continues like they've been teasing with a bit more original. Overall I enjoyed season 4. I was expecting it to be a train wreck, but it was felt exactly like old AD. From earlier interviews before S4, it sounded like characters rarely interacted if at all. However there ended up being a ton of interaction.

Part of me wishes Hannibal would get cancelled just so Netflix could pick it up. The creators of the show have shown disappointment on Twitter about some of what they had to censor (check out their Twitter for better looks at nasty parts). They'd probably be given money to do whatever they want with Netflix (although this season seems to be getting away with more stuff than last season. I just want them giving up on it of it gets cancelled.

BTW AD turned down other networks because they wanted to cut the shows's budget in half. From what I understand Netflix throws money at them so that they can make whatever they want. If anybody doesn't like S4, just imagine how bad it might've been on those other networks.

Yeah and nothing has changed since then. It's still an awesome broken game. You have a great time when it works fine or it enrages the hell outta you when it doesn't, which unfortunately happens most of times. It could be said the only difference between beta and final game is that the latter doesn't use the word 'beta' in its title.

It makes me think on 'world of tanks', another F2P that suffered a huge demand at release (and still high since then i believe) and gave zero errors, with up to 32 players per match and worked like a charm. And it doesn't split the community in three realms like warface does. Crytek is losing prestige in spades with this poor delivering.

Maybe they got it figured out before the delisting? Maybe MS changed it so you can self-publish on 360 now? No idea. All I know is I got the DLC and avatar stuff free.

I still need to get it on Steam.
I got just the game for free and I'm very grateful for that. took a bit of work and a lot of trying. I think it's weird that they made that big of a deal though if they knew they might be able to get a deal done to keep it up.

Which is exactly what I've been doing. Not complaining as much as i am pointing out that this program is probably not having the results they hoped and my suggestion to rectify the problem.

Sorry. Having trouble figuring out how to quote on a tablet. My comment was in response to Tyler about stop buying games if I'm worried they are going free.

Alright guys, so Microsoft approached me a week ago and allowed me to pick one of the titles (since its my b-day month). I picked Dust, so everyone can experience the best arcade game ever made (Plus it was mostly made by one guy). So, as my intellectual leader would say,

I wonder if the site worthplaying is right anyway I got Deadlight and Dust for Free so...even if it is true..I'm not mad =P Wonder what the GoD will be...

And yes Dust is a great Game! They really seem to choose "better" titles now ( I say "better" since liking a Game is very subjective)

I would be giddy to get Dust as a free game, it looks excellent and I keep missing it on sale. Then again I'm pumped anytime it's a game I don't already own...

I keep seeing mention of Dust being the free game for May, and if it's true, I'm 50/50 on it. If you mean From Dust, then yay, as I don't have that game. Tried the demo forever ago when it went on sale once and I didn't care for it, but it would be a free game I wouldn't own, which is cause enough for celebration. If you mean Dust: An Elysian Tail, then boo. Great game for what it was, but I already own it.

:p

I Think more the character specific episodes didn't work for it. Since it really wasn't until episode 5 with I believe Gob's episode where it really started to pick up. Though what people tend to forget is that Arrested Development was able to continue onto another network after season three first aired, but they turned the deal down or never went to seek it out mostly because they were ready to move on. So really season four only happened because of demand from fans continuing for that long.
Going character-specific for the episodes was probably the worst way to go, since most the characters by themselves aren't that great, but being around the family made them shine. I'm sure scheduling issues was part of the reason they decided to go that way, but for the most part it didn't work. George Sr, Lucille, Lindsay, Maeby, and hell even Tobias can't carry an episode on their own. I also absolutely hated how much time-jumping was involved in the season. It was confusing and overused.

I'm glad the 4th season exists because there were some laughs, but it was definitely a huge letdown compared to the first 3 seasons. If they want to do more, they have to get the whole crew back together.

Awesome to see Dust as part of the GwG program. I was interested in it but didn't want to add to my backlog whenever it went on sale.  I drew up a GwG wishlist with some comments by browsing the GoD list on xbox.com and tried to find games that were $20 or less. I think I saw someone stating there was a price criteria when it came to selecting games for the program but I couldn't find it. I'd also like to see a franchise/DLC sale to accompany any games (if applicable).

- WWE All Stars ($19.99): I was never a fan of the "realistic" WWE games but loved this over the top entry. Traded it in but now am itching to play it again.
- Dead Space 1 ($14.99): I know it was free on Origin but my comp specs are ass and I still need to do the hard playthrough for the last achievements.
- Beautiful Katamari ($19.99): Loved the first two Katamaris on the PS2 but never got around to playing this one.
- Mirror's Edge ($14.99): Another game I enjoyed but sold in a purge of my collection but would like to play again.
- Mortal Kombat ($19.99): Same as Mirror's Edge.
- Bayonetta ($19.99): I remember beating the game despite not enjoying it too much, but I'd like to think I would like it if I gave it a second chance.
- Saints Row The Third ($19.99): Loved and beat the game but sold it before trying out the DLC.
- Alice: Madness Returns ($19.99): Never played it but was always semi-interested in doing so.
- Metro 2033 ($19.99) Same as Alice.
- Far Cry 3 ($19.99) Same as Alice and Metro 2033.
- Tekken Tag Tournament 2 ($19.99) Played only an hour or so of this but enjoyed playing it. I'm ass at fighting games but for some reason I'm more likely to buy and play very little of them. I do enjoy watching fighting game tournaments on Twitch though.
- Enslaved ($14.99) Another game I never played but was semi-interested in playing.
