Are the Xbox 360 game cases made of really cheap plastic? I got my 360 3 weeks ago and 3 of my games' cases were damaged during shipping. I've ordered at least 30 other games for PS2, Wii, and Xbox1 and none of the cases were broken. They were all in bubble mailers with the same protection all the other games had.. Has anyone else had any problems with this?

EDIT: By the way, if this has been asked 100 times already, sorry. I tried to search for the answer and didn't find anything
I don't think I've ever had a case broken...are the games used?
One was the Xbox 360 Arcade disc that came with my 360 bundle. The other 2 were from CAG used, but from reputable sellers, and the pieces that were broken off were still in the mailer when I opened it.. So it's very unlikely they were shipped in that condition.

That just blows then.

I've had a couple break on me and to me they do seem to be made of cheap plastic. They don't feel as sturdy as the old PS2/XBOX cases.

The older cases were thicker back than, now a days it's this clean green plastic they are using. Probably those recycled plastics.

Yeah, there are several different builds of the 360 case. The most sturdy(but likely to crack disk) are those with the weird clicker button that is a whore to get the disk off the spindle(Condemned 1 and 2 have these)

When I got FALLOUT 3 a few weeks ago the case is really awesome, it is more of a non transparent case that looks kinda like the old xbox cases. Really sturdy and easy to get the disk out.

No problems here and I've owned probably 50 games. I can see how the Arcade disc gets broken though. I just bought that bundle a few weeks back and the case is snug against one of the sides of the box. Stack enough of those bundles and I can see them snapping pretty easy.

The Gears of War 2 case has a new center clicker that is new to me in terms of 360 games. I also saw this used on a recent Wii game I bought, so maybe they're being made by the same company now? But, it seems a lot better than the other 360 cases. I still have problems with tiny cracks opening up at the top of the cases though.

haven't had any x360 cases break on me. The only time i received a cracked case was from Goozex, I think the trader intentionally sent me his broken one

I've had two or three come cracked right near the binding. It seems the plastic they're made of isn't very flexible so they're more prone to crack.

i have a few games that were purchased new from online retailers but only one of them came broken. the forza/marvel case that came with the xbox from best buys online store has a piece missing from the top of the case. the piece was underneath the case so it was damaged during shipping most likely

I've noticed that there have been many iterations on the green 360 cases as well, ranging from thinner materials to crappier center hooks.

It sounds like they're trying to cut manufacturer costs by slimming packaging costs.

As for the OP, that's too bad. There's always ebay or maybe even other CAGs who could sell / trade you other cases.
