It's almost time to pick up an Xbox.
HAHHAA man this thread is ethir realy funny or i am realy tired. heh somone said that these will fall to $5 soon, so true hahaha

Morrowind has be 10 for a while at Target. If you are there it should be on a back end in the electronics department. Its 10 for the original morrowind on the xbox and 15 for the gold edition that comes with morrowind and the 2 expansions.
WTF? Damn I didnt know about those. Oh well 9.99 was more than worth it for CS. I had it before, traded it and regret it.
Do people still play the Xbox version of Counterstrike online?
Do people still play the Xbox version of Counterstrike online?
Same question? I would be a waste if I could not find any player on live.

It's worth noting that a lot of these games are cheap used now too. If you're a real cheap ass, just head to your local EB or go to www.ebgames.com and buy these games used. Most are now $7.99 used, but some like PGR2 are only $4.99! Que ganga!

A $10 manufacturers suggested price is awesome. This is good news after the 360 games went up to $60. Microsoft is actually cool sometimes.
i think i'll wait for the $4.99 best of best of platinum hits version.
same here, that's just crazy, they even have special packaging for the best of platinum hits, lol. Anyway, at least we can now get them at these prices full time instead of rushing the get them out of clearance bins.

Well shit, I just paid $10 last week for a used copy of Pandora Tomorrow. Oh well, at least it's the original packaging and not the PHPH

This is hilarious! You guys already touched on just about every joke I was thinking of myself! Only one you missed is that Sony will follow suit with "Greatest Greatest Hits" and Nintendo will counter with "Player's Choice Player's Choice"!

Actually, that's a price increase for some of these games that had been clearanced for less. Noticed Target had a rack of $9.99 games and most of these were there, just not with the new packaging yet, which is odd since Target seems to get the new packaging before any other store. They were weeks ahead with PH covers of GTA: San Andreas, Star Wars III, Lego Star Wars, and SW:KOTORIITSL.

I dont get what's so funny about this. So they have a Best of Platinum hits and they are selling them for half the price of the regular Platinum hits. Its a great deal regardless of extra labeling on the package or different color.

^^^I don't think people are laughing at the idea of cheaper games. It's just kind of funny that they felt the need to do new packaging and renaming them as a subdivision of Platinum Hits.

But yes I agree, who cares what they're called as long as it means cheaper games.

$10 for Fuzion Frenzy? Why not? It was certainly a better game than Mario Party 5, and its a hell of a lot cheaper, too.
This redundancy is just too much... What kind of crazy guy in marketing greenlit this idea?!
As an AP essay grader, I love it when redundancy is noticed.
Is that Morrowind the GOTY version?
Dont think so. MEch assult is only $5 at EB games used so i gots to get that.

I love that they're reprinting a reprint. The red text actually fits the SC II cover, and looks nicer than the original one. $10 for PGR 2 is amazing; definitely get it if you can.
Do people still play the Xbox version of Counterstrike online?
People do still play online but alot less then it's peak. Most got pulled away by Rainbox Six 3 and then Halo 2. I sometimes go on but almost everyone that plays now is extreemly good and knows all the gliches and stuff.

Best of the best, folks.
Still unplayable on 360s!
Fuzion Frenzy, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six 3, Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 are all playable on 360.
I think a name like "Double Platinum" woulda sounded better.
I agree. And TrueCrime was a fun game, still fun to play a gta clone.
This is better, I feel sony started the greatest hits cause of all the games that were soon to be under 20, then way under 20.
Wonder if MC3:DubEdition Remix will make a Double Platinum. I doubt it tho.

im gonna pick up mechassault now

this is just a way now for people looking through my collection to say im a cheap bastard

Well the name sounds silly but atleast this means these games can be found even cheaper now. If EB/GS has reflected the used prices already (I'll have to check later) then this means even cheaper games for us.

All they need to really do is make Counterstrike backwards and we're all set :) Unless of course they plan on releasing the newer version for the 360.

Wow this is odd, most of my local GS/EB's had tons of Mechassults left (used) and now they are all gone. They are ethir in the back getting repriced or they have all been bought out. Go out and buy this game asap.

Is the Geometry Wars in PGR2 the same as the one offerend in Xbox Live Arcade? If so, that $5 wouldn't be too hard to part with.

The Live Arcade version is an improved version of the game in PGR2, but it plays basically the same.
