• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2026. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

I'm back! And I almost wasn't. Honestly huge thanks to CheapyD who helped me regain access after the upgrade. My account was not in the best state but all good now and happy to be back chatting with my fellow cags again.

So anyway I think I saved a bunch of money by CAG being down during the big shopping period. Since I wasn't able to really follow y'all's footsteps my purchases were less. Absolutely insane. Partially glad. Partially disappointed?

I refresh right at 59 and the closest thing I saw to redeem was a XB Labs elite controller. I click redeem and it tells me to log in!! Stupid site logged me out. I went to my phone but I was only able to redeem Madden and Forza. Has anyone else here just gotten logged out? This contest is such BS. Some people reddit said they were able to get a 1TB and a $50 gift card. I will be once again trying for the next one. Gonna sell the game codes.

The 20 points for Edge searches disappeared earlier today for me, and I saw numerous reports on the subreddit for the same thing.

I've seen other people say they had to wait for searches to register, but it hasn't happened to me. I am still able to quickly open new tabs on PC from the search headings in the video section, and jump through headings and top stories in the News section on mobile.

My 5 points for a GP achievement didn't register today, though. Have been using McPixel 3 to keep my daily streak going.

I ordered Mario Strikers Battle from Dell to use my expiring points(thought it was digital but very surprised it's the cart)since it was on sale but I couldn't figure out how to use all my Dell credit and the rest with my expiring points. It only took $3 off the dell credit and now I have a different amount of points expiring a month later. I went back and forth to my cart 5 times trying to use up the credit and points but couldn't figure it out.

Did you used to be able to use your MS points on the store? I remember back in early 2021, I wanted to use them towards a series X and I was able to just put them towards my order. It wouldn't go through though, kept getting an error. Support said I can't use points towards it. Have to use 1 payment method. Anyway, I wanted to buy the Diablo bundle while it was on sale but it wouldn't let me use points. I would have to first redeem them for gift cards and use those. I didn't want to do all that so just decided not to get it. I was just going to sell it but now that I know, I will better prepare in the future. I bought some stuff on Amazon last week and just found out that I could have redeemed my points for Amazon gift cards. I could have swore I read here multiple times that MS got rid of that. I learned some things while CAG was down.

MS Rewards has really gone to shit the last few months. I'm guessing it will be gone or severely neutered by 2024. It's MS's loss for me. I only use Edge to get the 20 point bonus. No big deal to stop using it period.

Yeah I’m also having MS rewards issues. Collections searches and manually searching only works in small batches, and there’s a cool down between searches. Haven’t been able to redeem points for several months now cause the app doesn’t connect to the servers somehow (probably due to trying to retire the app). I’m betting they hired someone new to oversee the operation cause all these new changes just scream “new guy doesn’t know what they’re doing”.

Much sadness. All these changes are really strange though cause I vaguely remember receiving several polls over the past year on how to improve the program and increase interactions, not run it into the ground lol. Wonder if the new version of the app will make things better or just ruin what’s left of the remnants.

When I was originally looking I didnt even see that there. I ended up changing it back to normal on the bottom of this page under Settings it says Change Style. This is on PC though I do not know if its down there on mobile too.

It nice to be back and return to a new look after vacation. During Black Friday sales we did get a new Xbox Series X for my wife from Target so we are back to being a two Xbox household. Nice deal with with $75 gift card and extra 10% off. Gaming wise I picked up Miasma Chronicles (Xbox) from woot, I loved their first game Mutant Year Zero, bought Stray Blade and its expansion for Xbox using some rewards and Sonic Origins Collection (Switch) for my son. I might be getting one or two games for xmas. Overall not bad but still a little disappointing.

I also started Redfall with some friends over the holiday break and we all really enjoyed it. Its nothing special but its a fun game to play coop with your friends. We finished the first area and beat the Hollow Man. After the performance mode patch it runs really well now. We didn't play it before the patch.
