Xbox Dvd Drive

Does anyone know where to get a good deal on a new xbox dvd drive since mine is starting to
quit on me....or does anyone know how to fix it.....Its a thompson...

P.s. it keeps on failing to load maps on halo 2....starts up games very slow... and it is a replace ment drive because my other drive stopped reading...

You may want to pick up the Gamepro issue with FF 12 on the cover . They talk about that problem on Halo 2. It may be the software makers fault if I remember right.
 
If you replace it, You need the Samsung 616(616t and 616f models only), the only DVD Drive compatable with the xbox, besides the stock ones. Xbox-scene.com for more info. I don't know where you can buy them though...
 
Just curious, is there any place I can find a replacement Ps2 disk drive? Seems that my system is crapping out and don't have the money to buy a new one.
