Ryse was a great game but it didn't have enough content to warrant re-release "GOTY" edition especially at $50.
I don't know what your issues are with your PS4 controller but the Xbox One controller is very nice and durable. I prefer the Xbox One Joystick over the PS4. Battery life is also way better. Please tell me the xbone controller is more durable then the ps4 controller. I'm sending my controller in for repair for the third time already and I'm getting sick of it.
Well let's see for starters I've had 3 controllers and the plastic has ripped on the left stick on all of them. On top of that my l2 is broken now and I'm gonna have to send it in again and pay for the shipping myself again. I have a friend that rails on companies for having shitty products and I've noticed he is also the one that drops his phone a dozen times when he goes out drinking, throws his controllers in fits of rage, never dusts his electronics, tosses his bag around that contains his laptop, etc. yet is always quick to blame the manufacturer when his "stuff" stops working.Well let's see for starters I've had 3 controllers and the plastic has ripped on the left stick on all of them. Good to know only one month to go until I get my hands on an x1 can't waitI have a friend that rails on companies for having shitty products and I've noticed he is also the one that drops his phone a dozen times when he goes out drinking, throws his controllers in fits of rage, never dusts his electronics, tosses his bag around that contains his laptop, etc. yet is always quick to blame the manufacturer when his "stuff" stops working.
Not saying you fit that but out of about 6 DS3's I only had one that had a problem and that is after my girlfriend threw it at my (I did something bad) and I was able to fix the drift in the L3 stick by taking it apart.
I haven't had a problem with any of my three DS4's yet.
Edit: and to stay on topic I didn't have problems with either of my 360 or X1 controllers either
if it's just the sticks that are messing up then yeah, it's a known issue:Well let's see for starters I've had 3 controllers and the plastic has ripped on the left stick on all of them. The left stick click was broken on my Xbox One controller out of the box, so it was unusable for anything. Please tell me the xbone controller is more durable then the ps4 controller. I'm sending my controller in for repair for the third time already and I'm getting sick of it.
Stop throwing your controller on the ground when you get angry and it won't break.Well let's see for starters I've had 3 controllers and the plastic has ripped on the left stick on all of them. Never happened once but, thanks for stating the obviousStop throwing your controller on the ground when you get angry and it won't break.
I am going to try and mod my PS4 with Xbox One stick sometime really soon. I hope I don't F it up!if it's just the sticks that are messing up then yeah, it's a known issue:

Alot of people on gaf just ended up buying xbox one sticks and putting them in their ds4.
you do know they make a adapter that you could use xbone controller on ps4I am going to try and mod my PS4 with Xbox One stick sometime really soon. I hope I don't F it up!
Oh I don't really have any issues I'm just kinda ocd about optimizing everything. Everything is wired. Oh and does that controllermax thing actually work well?I don't have any issues with Uverse internet wireless or wired unless two 360s were on the same time, I'd imagine the same issue if 2 x1's were on.
There is a bad batch of PS4 controllers out as shown on Neogaf. I've yet to run/see any issues with the X1 yet controller wise. I know my 360 controllers eventually all started "drifiting" except maybe one, but then again I had multiple controllers through 8 years and the X1 hasn't even reached It's 1st anniversary yet.
i have one works greatI love you. ... I'm sorry, that just came out of my hands without thinking. I need this device in my life. I'm going to look up reviews now and probably order one. So happy that I won't need to rely on third party controllers in the future possibly!
I have one and it works well. Doesn't feel like there is any lag if that is what you want to know. It is a bit of a pain since you have to plug in the xbox one controller, then unplug it and plug in the fight stick. I thought about using it to just have an extra controller since I have a wired 360 controller, but it won't let you, the xbox one sees the controllermax as the controller that was originally plugged into it.I love you. ... Got a link?I'm reading about the Titan One more, which supposedly is the new version of that device. Apparently the author of the original software left and that company cracked his code. Interesting stuff.
Thanks man! Wow, I really want to review the Titan One... I'm just a little torn because not only is it a great way to use controllers cross-platform, it also enables all kinds of online cheating. That part is a shame.http://psx-scene.com/forums/f177/cronusmax-controllermax-vs-titan-one-read-now-124008/
I don't know how much of the story is legit, but it makes you wonder.
I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon to pick it up from Best Buy, but it's worth the wait to save $12 plus get a $10 Xbox Live credit, and have the ability to resell it when finished. Still don't see the reason to go digital when you lose all the perks and have to pay the same or more in this case than having the physical copy. Just my 2 pennies. This pre-order digitally program is so awesome that... it doesn't work for like half the people.
Me and many others (Wario64) aren't able to play Forza Horizon 2 despite it saying it unlocks at 12:01am eastern. Get your shit together MS. I have no patience considering it states it would unlock at 12:01am, not a minute later!

Exactly what is considered "All the perks"? It sounds like the only perk would be trading it back but not everybody trades their games in and that is only one perk.I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon to pick it up from Best Buy, but it's worth the wait to save $12 plus get a $10 Xbox Live credit, and have the ability to resell it when finished. Perks of physical media:Exactly what is considered "All the perks"? It sounds like the only perk would be trading it back but not everybody trades their games in and that is only one perk.
Plenty of deals have come up for Xbox credit so getting it cheaper isn't exactly a perk. I know I stacked up when Rakuten had $50 Xbox credit for $35, which ends up being closely comparable to Best Buy's physical gaming deals.
But physical games have their downsides too:Perks of physical media:
-Get to feel like you purchased a tangible item
-Can display
-Can resell
-Can trade
-Can loan
-Will forever own the item, never have to worry about the servers or service being shut down or said item delisted and removed.
-Usually is priced better than the digital counterpart
I agree, there are perks to the digital versions as well, however in my opinion the physical perks heavily outweigh the digital ones. And clearly I'm not the only one who feels this way as it was the primary reason people didn't accept Microsoft's original vision for the Xbox One.But physical games have their downsides too:
- Takes up physical space, usually very finite and harder to expand than buying a new hard drive
- Collects dust
- Still has to be installed
- Installation is useless if you lose or damage the disc
- You have to insert the disc every time you want to play
- Can't be used to simultaneously play the same game on two systems (unlike downloaded games, which can be played on the host console and a guest console that the owner is logged into)
The online requirement was the real straw that broke the camel's back. Think of poor Spybreak!I agree, there are perks to the digital versions as well, however in my opinion the physical perks heavily outweigh the digital ones. Digital Only works on PC because your buying a lot of games for under $3-5 a pop. Microsoft and Sony have had good sales but they still can't match the impulse pricing of Steam. A lot of Steam gamers are like what the hell, it's $3, it's cheaper than my morning coffee. The online requirement was the real straw that broke the camel's back. Think of poor Spybreak!
Definitely there are a lot of people who still just want to have a physical game, and some who won't even buy digital-only games that don't go to retail (that latter group sucks). But digital-only is huge on PC and mobiles, and will continue to gain traction on consoles as well.
I bought fifa 15 and Infamous Second Son digitally this generation but, I think I'm gonna start going physical again just for the resale value. In a perfect world we'd be able to install the game to the harddrive and not need the disc but, somehow have it deactivated when selling it.I agree, there are perks to the digital versions as well, however in my opinion the physical perks heavily outweigh the digital ones. The digital versus physical argument is entirely based around individual preference but it sounds like your general point is constantly touching on the fact you can trade games back and while that's a considerable perk for your as I've mentioned several times over not everybody wants to trade their games in.Perks of physical media:
-Get to feel like you purchased a tangible item This seems like an opinion above anything else.
-Can display I found that game cases just take up unnecessary space on my shelves similar to DVD's, we have hundreds of old PS2/Gamecub games in our basement just wasting away collecting dust.
-Can resell Fair point but as I said not everybody sells their games.
-Can trade Pretty much the same thing as reselling it I'm not sure why you need to pad your list.
-Can loan Fair point but both consoles currently have methods to share digital games with at least one friend. Not only that but this method lets both of you play the same game at the same time. So if I buy Destiny digitally we can both play it together even though I only bought one copy.
-Will forever own the item, never have to worry about the servers or service being shut down or said item delisted and removed.
-Don't have to worry about your console being accidentally or deserved banned and losing everything you purchased I've never seen many cases of accidental undeserving bans, so as long as you don't do ban able hacking crap you're fine.
-Usually is priced better than the digital counterpart
I'm sure there are others but these are all I could think of.
And I obtained plenty of Xbox Live credit from the GameStop give away, but that doesn't mean I want to waste it on games that can be had physically. Would rather use it for digital only items like DLC and downloadable only titles. Plus after resell you come out far ahead of even the 30% off you saved buying credit.
Part of me likes the fact that I can't trade the games in. It gives me more incentive to actually beat the game. On the other hand it's nice to know that if money is tight and I really want a game I can sell some of my old ones to finance it.The digital versus physical argument is entirely based around individual preference but it sounds like your general point is constantly touching on the fact you can trade games back and while that's a considerable perk for your as I've mentioned several times over not everybody wants to trade their games in.
Have it shipped to you?what happens if people don't have best buy in their areaseeing digital games are now mostly unlocked at midnight i would not mind starting to do it.
lol was thinking the same thing, I have a Best Buy 10 minutes away but rarely go to the store, there isn't a need to as you can do everything on their website and shipping is free.Have it shipped to you?
This is the one scenario where I do in store pickup, if I want to play a game on release, otherwise not a huge deal.If you want your games day one that could prove to be a bad idea. It sounds like a lot of people in the Best Buy thread aren't going to be getting their Shadow of Mordor copies until a couple of days after.
Heck that is one of the main reasons I'm considering joining amazon prime again. Then again gamerclub unlocked isn't much more expensive then amazon prime and for $12 off a game I'll deal with not being able to play day 1.lol was thinking the same thing, I have a Best Buy 10 minutes away but rarely go to the store, there isn't a need to as you can do everything on their website and shipping is free.
